I had never been to Franklin Grove but my brother moved nearby and told me that I had to try this place. I am so glad I did! This restaurant may not be fancy but their flavor profile is mega-Americana! Home style flavors come through and home-town feel from the servers. I grew up in a small town in Texas and the people inside and outside the restaurant really brought the friendly hometown feel. Smiles and greeting and tasty food. When you find yourself cruising down Lincoln Highway, stop in the Lincolnway Cafe and say hello!

Great hometown food at a really reasonable price! They have a variety of a menu for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. We had the Reuben, crispy chicken ranch, and Greek salad - all recommended. If you get the deluxe option, you get fries and a soup or salad. If you're in the area on Friday swing by for their Fish Fry which is always a treat.

Great little cafe in a nice quiet town. Everyone is super friendly and the service is second to none. We work through a lot lately and this spot is always welcoming. I've only been here for breakfast but, it has always been well prepared and hot too. The omelettes are big and all the ingredients taste super fresh. If ya get in this nice little neighborhood you should stop in and give it a try

Quintessential diner food. Simple yet solid. A great place to stop for lunch along the Lincoln Highway.

Been going her since they opened. Good food and prices. The Papa Pete club is my favourite. And the owners are some of the best I know.

Every once in a while I get a biscotti to go along with my latte, I believe they are made in house, but I'm not so sure. Right now, they have a smoothie menu for the summer, I've tried the strawberry piña colada and it's so refreshing, especially when the mornings are really hot. I use to get the same barista each morning, she's so kind and friendly. Now it's different girls but they're all so kind and in a good mood. Love it!

It wasn't crowded when I visited but I could see the place packed with no where to sit. The tables up front along the windows are a wonderful place to sit and work like I am doing but the concrete tables although cool are tough and uncomfortable to work on especially if you want to use a mouse & computer. Staff were very friendly and helpful. As far as my order the drink was definitely under brewed and could clearly tell just from the smell before even tasting it. The rice crispy I had I am willing to bet was made ages ago. It was so hard and you could clearly tell it was long past fresh. I took 1 bite and tossed it. Would I return? If just for a drink and to work probably. Think I would be willing to give it another try but wouldn't go out of my way to return just for it.

I ordered a London Fog with lavender cold foam, but the majority of the drink tasted like milk and was tasteless. I politely asked if it could be remade or if I could simply get a different coffee instead. I was told that if I wanted another drink, I would need to pay for a new one because they believed the drink had been made correctly. Three employees then argued with me about the drink, insisting that an Earl Grey concentrate "couldn't be messed up." The interaction felt very hostile and unprofessional. I wasn't asking for anything fancy -- I simply requested a replacement black coffee. Unfortunately, the way the situation was handled left a very negative impression. $17 for two coffees that tasted like milk is diabolical.
