Typical greasy spoon atmosphere. Food is the type you know you're getting into: eggs, bacon and potatoes. Pros: Biscuits are delish Fruit cup is fresh Coffee is plentiful Cons: Crowded, so it's a bit hard to navigate to your table or to the restroom. Servers were understaffed so you could tell they were exhausted by 10 a.m. We liked it, I think it's still affiliated with Melgie's somehow. We would be back.

Amazing little diner! The service was great and food hit the greasy diner brunch spot. Didn't have to wait at all on Sunday at 11:30, we were literally shocked when our food came out in like 5 mins!! Highly recommend!

First, I was unsure what to expect because the reviews were so mixed, but after dining here I would chalk any negativity up to someone expecting a "foodie" experience instead of a diner experience. I arrived with my young granddaughter and we were seated immediately and the waitress quickly made sure we had drinks. Coffee for me and hot chocolate with mini marshmallows for her and they were thoughtful enough to make sure her cup had a cover so she wasn't burned if she accidentally spilled her drink. She had the 222 and I had French toast with a side of sausage. The food came out quickly and was clearly freshly prepared and absolutely delicious. The pancakes were giant and fluffy. The scrambled eggs cooked perfectly and bacon nice and crispy while still having a good chew. My French toast slices were thick and flavorful and the sausage was delicious. This is a true diner experience, family run, and where you will be welcomed like family. The pricing was extremely reasonable. This restaurant is unpretentious and is exactly what it represents itself to be. If you are looking for a chain restaurant experience or a fine dining experience, this is not your place. But if you are craving good home cooked food at fair prices where everyone is welcomed and treated as family then go here!

We LOVED this little diner! What a great menu with pretty's decent prices. The service was excellent! So nice and so helpful even though it was a very busy Sunday. We ordered 2 omelets and we both really enjoyed them. It's not a fancy place but it's kinda perfect.

Beware food safety not followed here!

Yes, there's usually a wait, but that's kind of the point. When a place is always busy, you know they're doing something right. We didn't mind at all and enjoyed the vibe while we waited. Kenzie was extremely helpful and even double checked a few menu items for my food intolerances, which I really appreciated. Customer service like that goes a long way. We both ended up ordering the seasonal Benedict special and it was absolutely delicious. Pro tip for next time (and for anyone planning ahead): put your name in online before you go. We'll definitely be doing that next visit.

We put that aside and said let's wait for our meals. Disappointing again. My wife ordered the 'homemade' corned beef hash special and nothing special or homemade, tasted like right out of a can from Sysco Foodservice. Her home fries were well over done. My meal was a special omelette with 'small batch' sausage and apples with cheddar. How does a short order cook over cook (dead on arrival) eggs to the point they're dry ? Anyway I've Never sent back ages but did so this time. A new omelette was much better but the sausage apples and cheese just didn't taste good yuk ! The building is a nice big open space and very updated ambiance. We will not be returning to the Narragansett RI location again! FYI: Owners Anthony and Tina Ciao,

My first impression of the room hit me through its espresso scent that filled the entire space. The modern design of the space creates an environment that supports both focused work and relaxed socializing through its streamlined design. The shop maintained a peaceful atmosphere because I was the only customer present which enabled me to study the surroundings at my own pace. The space appeared to be perfectly clean because a staff member was busy cleaning the floor which showed that the establishment maintained cleanliness as a fundamental requirement. The shop maintained a quiet atmosphere which only included the soft sounds of the espresso machine and its periodic loud noises. The staff members delivered fast service while maintaining a friendly attitude. The staff members welcomed me as soon as I entered the building and they explained all menu options to me because I did not know what to order yet they did not attempt to persuade me to choose any specific item. The staff members allowed me to create my own drink which I found to be a useful feature. The staff members permitted me to create my own drink because I needed to follow my specific requirements. I chose to order a large iced mocha latte with an extra espresso shot. The staff members finished my order within three minutes which they executed successfully because most businesses find it difficult to create this level of operational efficiency. The espresso shot produced a rich chocolate flavor which tasted smooth and fresh without any harsh notes. The drink maintained an equal distribution of coffee and chocolate flavors because neither ingredient overpowered the other.

On a Friday morning around 9, there were a few folks waiting for tables/booths. Luckily there's a counter space with about 10 stools and we were able to snag two spots. We were warmly welcomed by the staff. They offered us a lovely couple of bites of cranberry cake, gratis. Everything on the menu looks fantastic. I ordered the famous hash omelet (huge, so, so good) and it comes with your choice of two sides. I apologize for not knowing what all of the options were but I opted for home fries and toast (another choice was baked beans, I remember that one). My wife had the Supreme omelet which came with a meat, peppers, onions, mushrooms and cheese. It was also huge and delicious. While we were sitting at the counter chatting up a local, she mentioned that Oatley's had just won the local Community Choice award. I can see why. One other thing to mention is their bread. I don't know what they offer in particular but a woman came in, asked "how many do you have left" and they said "one". She took it. It was a nice, homemade loaf of raisin bread for about $7. I think she would've bought 5 if she could. I think everyone who likes breakfast would like Oatley's II.

They were happy to substitute the ham for avocado on my eggs Benedict. The eggs Benedict were cooked perfectly and tasted delicious. The hash browns for me were a little under seasoned. However next to the salt and pepper they had some hot sauce, a little addition of all three of those and the hash browns were great! They have many different coffee flavor options, service was great.
