I really like this place which I went to based on reading the other recommendations. The prices are phenomenal, I used to pay double for the same tailoring in Los Angeles. I've brought in about 20 different items to be tailored, and so far the only slight mess-up is she took in a dress to tight at the bottom hem and now it's hard to get on/off (and hard to walk in because my legs can't extend as far) -- not sure how I missed that when I was taking it off after it was pinned. But everything else has been great. Today Linda was a bit hard to read on a new request -- I brought in a pair of white pants and asked if a lining could be added. She laughed nervously and said something like "I wonder why they sell pants like these [without linings]?" Anyway, it was a bit unclear to me whether she didn't know how to add a lining, didn't have the material to do so, or didn't want to take the time to do the work. I persisted a little bit and finally we managed to decide that if I brought in the fabric for the lining, she would put it in... so hopefully that will go well the next time! read more

Awesome deal, it was so cheap that we were nervous for the results but they did a great job on the alteration. I came here to get my slacks hemmed and she said she'll have them ready in two days. I don't know if she actually had them ready in that amount of time because I picked them up 5 days later. The slacks were original hemmed and even on both sides. The cost was $6 for a pair of slacks and additional $3 because they have extra lining on the inside. The best thing about this place is their prices which, if you're like me, is a good reason to give them a try. I had ten jeans that needed to be hemmed and the total bill came out to be about 60 dollars. They did an A-OK job with the hemming, although they didn't maintain the same color thread for every jean. Mostly, they kept the thread on the hem black or the same color as the jeans itself so it would blend in. They were also really fast; I dropped my jeans off on Monday and picked all ten of them up on Friday. Not bad.. read more

So i was searching through yelp to find a good place to get my bridesmaid dress altered. the bride wanted us to cut our dresses slightly above the knee and i was a little nervous to take it to the place near my house (which they have messed up previous alterations,luckily the dresses were long enough to be fixed). i came across linda's tailor and decided i would go there to get the alteration done because of all the positive reviews people have written on here. boy was it busy! i was able to find parking, but once i got inside i was waiting in line, since it's prom season, so many girls were in there trying to get their dresses altered. i brought my dress in a week before i needed it just to make sure i gave enough time in case i did need to re-alter it. so after i tried on my dress and linda did all the measurements and marking, she told me that it was going to be $30. in my head,i was thinking...30 bucks just to get the length shorten? i guess thats why the other places charge $15-20 because they didnt do such a good job. so i paid and left (you do have to pay when you drop off). i came back to pick up my dress and tried it on. i was very happy with the results as she did not cut too much or too little off the dress. i would definitely come back if i need a difficult alteration done...but i still think 30 bucks is a but pricey. read more

This store, as others have said, is on an extremely busy intersection, with very little parking. Pay close attention or you will miss it. The shop is small and looks like a covered garage, but there are several dressing rooms with locking doors (not a curtain, so thats good). There are not really prices posted anywhere. I tried on my dress, cocktail length with sequins, and it just needed to come in on the sides and one inch off the shoulder. In my opinion a surger could have done the trick, but I dont own one. I was half pinned while the woman thought in her head about the price and she told be $55. The dress was only a little more than that itself, so the price seemed too high for me. I had couple of my Indian outfits which needed alterations. I wasn't sure if linda would be able to alter them. I met up with her and she seemed pretty confident working on my outfits. I took a risk letting her work on my Indian outfits which were also very expensive and to my surprise she did great job and I was completely satisfied with her work. Her work is very clean. I have gone to Linda's tailor a few times already once for some dress pants that I needed thr same day, which she was able to do no problem and another time I needed to hem some jeans that were too long. I was extremely satisfied with her work. The jeans came out just like I wanted, all 8 of them. I will be taking any other things I need tailored to her. The parking might not be luxurious or anything and yes it's a business operation in a garage, but so what? She does great work and parkking isn't a big deal to me. Neither is it that she runs her business from her garage. Would recommend her to anyone. read more

I've been to Linda once to have a dress altered. Linda did a great job with the alteration and I was especially pleased with the work since the fabric was multi-layers of chiffon. I will definitely use Linda again the next time I need an alteration. read more

They altered my wedding gown this summer and did a great job for a very reasonable price--at least $100 LESS than at the bridal salon! There were some tricky alterations to do on my dress, due to the way it was constructed and because it was 2 sizes too big, but they managed to make it fit perfectly. Linda did an amazing job with one of my Hugo Boss shirts. I bought the shirt online and to my horror, the shirt was like 4-6 inches too long on each sleeve. To make matters worse, the shirt was a double french cuff. Fortunately, Linda was able to fix it. Now the sleeves are perfect length, the double has become a single french cuff, and it was all for $15! Saved tailor for me! read more

Linda's does a great job tapering and hemming pants. Fast and quality service. Their location doesn't have great parking, because their parking lot is hard to get out of (since it goes directly onto a busy street) so I would recommend just parking along the neighborhood street instead. You can also bring a pair of your own pants to use as a reference length for the pair you're getting tailored, if you don't want to have to try them on in the shop. read more

Took my suits to be downsized. Did pants and jacket and everything cost me only $70. Very satisfied with the work.

I still think the price is up there but I agree you get what you pay for... when trying on my tailored shirts, I wanted them even more tapered... no problem here... she took them back gladly and told me they'll be done in a couple of days... though I'll try to find another place to get my shirts done but if I don't, I'll pay extra to get then done here read more

I came here since my mom has had things done here in the past I took in three pair of jeans to get hemmed and tapered in and explain to them that the genes were already twisting a little and if they could fix it when they tapered it in and make it even instead my pants are twisting even more now and the lines are on the front of my shins instead of the side of my legs I take two dresses to them and ask them to him them and when I point out on the pair of jeans that I'm currently wearing that they altered what had happened they kept telling me no no no it was not them it was the jeans and there's nothing they could do I wasn't asking them to fix it all I was doing was trying to point out and let them know for future references and they tried to to say no it was not their fault no it was not their fault first of all they really don't seem to understand when you're trying to explain things to them all they do is nod and say yes yes yes or no no no I get it we're all trying to make a living but if you're going to run a business at least least put your customer first because without happy customers you have no business I definitely will not be taking anything back to them or recommending any services to them ever I wasn't asking for a refund or for any type of compensation all I was trying to do was point out what had happened to three pairs of jeans that I spent almost $60 on to get fixed I could have done a better job at home read more

I read all the previous reviews and decided to try out Linda's because the place I have always gone to for alterations is far from where I now live and has raised their fees. I have given Linda's 1 star only because I am not able to give it zero. I can't tell you what kind of work they do because I never had any done. I took a bathing suit to Linda for altering yesterday. I walked in and was ignored, not even acknowledged by a simple "hello, I'll be right with you." Then when they finished doing what they were doing, she looked at me and said "Come here." apparently how they greet a new customer, so I showed her my bathing suit and told her what I wanted done. She looked at it waved her hand at me and said, "I don't do that." confused, I said, "You don't do that?" She said, "No." turned her back and walked away. Let me explain, my bikini is a simple triangle top, just two triangles on a string. The triangles are too big. I just wanted them to be cut and sewn smaller and put back on the string. Extremely simple, sewing 101. I could do it myself if I had a sewing machine, but I don't. Don't understand why they couldn't do it and still don't know why because she was too rude to explain. This place is very unprofessional and RUDE. I don't recommend taking anything but a simple pant hem to them because apparently they aren't very skilled in anything else. It doesn't matter that they are Vietnamese or that English is their second language because politeness is a universal language. Learn it Linda! read more

wooohooo! i love this place. i trust linda with all my clothes. she alters all my jeans and she altered my prom dress. i dnt trust other people with my jeans because before true religion came out with skinny jeans i had to cut them to make them skinny and trust me true religion jeans are not cheap. i trust her with my 7's and my rock and republics. so yeahh shes basically a life saver. its cheap and everyone is friendly. i've never been poked or pricked by any needles there so thats a plus. the one and only thing i dnt like is the parking... but the service totally makes up for it. read more

i came here on friday to drop off 2 pairs of pants and a skirt. i only tried on one pair of pants for linda's niece who was the one who pinned the pants. i should have tried on the other pair because they definitely do not fit the same. i tried them on at the shop which seemed fine but when i got home i noticed that the top of the pants are more loose on one pair. whatevs... they are uniform pants and they are gonna be ugly no matter what. lol i was pleased with the skirt. it was suuuuper expensive to alter the skirt because it has so many zippers that need to be removed to hem the skirt and then placed back on. it was $50 for the skirt and $14 for each pair of pants. a friend had the same skirt altered for $55 in socal so i didnt feel so bad paying so much. especially with the results. i dropped them off on friday and was told it could be ready by tues. i asked if it could be ready by monday (today) and they said yep at 6pm. i came around 4:30 and they were all ready. would i come back? only if i needed other skirts altered but i will find another place for pants. although... i dont think i will be choosing additional pants for my uniform. the parking lot is tiny and cramped so i just parked on the street on friday. today i was brave and parked in the lot and i had a hard time getting out. but thats just me.. i suck at driving so i wont take points away. lol CASH ONLY! read more

My daughter had a prom dress emergency. I'm talking she had a meltdown the morning of prom because her custom made dress by some "so called" seamstress was ugly. We took the dress to Linda's first thing in the morning and she worked her magic and voila a few hours later the dress was a masterpiece. We changed things up and it looked beautiful. We should have gone to Linda in the first place. If you have a fashion emergency that needs to be fixed, do yourself a favor and go to Linda. She provides a quality service. My fiance and I have been going to Linda's Tailor for a very long time. The owner does all the original hems on our new jeans, and its perfect all the time. If its not perfect she always tell us to bring it back and she'll fix it. She's very friendly to us and chats about family and each other. The shop is rather small since its a garage converted to a store front, and the changing rooms is nothing fancy. I dont mind it at all because low operation cost = low prices for customers. read more

Came here with a skirt, shorts and an absolutely adorable swimsuit top that I bought online and it turned out to be a bit too big.
