Great essentials! Great place to buy your protein powder, pre-work out powder, vitamins and minerals, and much more! I buy protein bars, pre-work out drinks, and meal replacement from here. They are cheaper than most places but what stands out even more is that the products are displaced neatly and to the front of each shelves. Service here is great too and always asking if we need help or anything. They recently upgraded their cash register and is now modern. (see photo) read more

My experience with Lindberg vitamins has all been negative. I don't think they use high quality ingredients and the ingredients seem to be synthetic more than natural. I've had many problems and side effects using their supplements. I thought vitamins would improve my health. I thought it would enhance more than destroy. Eventually every supplement made my health worse! I've come to this conclusion by stopping the vitamin regimen and after a month not taking them and then, starting again. Same side effects started up again the day after taking them!! I wised up and trashed them all! I also didn't like the attitudes of the personnel at the top, either, unpleasant! The sales people were very congenial . That said, the managers or those in charge are very cold and indifferent, not nice at all. Good riddance! read more

This store is on the corner of Hawthorne Boulevard and Sepulveda Boulevard. It is in the shopping mall with a large parking area so you will not have any difficulties finding your parking at any time of the day. Lindberg Nutrition was my go-to nutrition store as it was very close to my previous workplace. The store is always well-stocked with hundreds of brands including their own. If you require any vitamins or supplements, you should be able to find one at this store. By the way, my favorite protein powder which I found at this store is called "COMBAT," and I strongly recommend the cookies 'N' cream flavor! In addition to the variety of products which are available, their pricing is very reasonable as well. The place is very well organized with a lot of friendly staff, and this place is certainly a must for those who are health conscious and especially for those who have just started to work out recently! read more

If you want vitamins this is the place to go. They have an enormous selection of every kind of vitamin, mineral, supplement, and everything else that you could possibly want to boost your health and your immune system. They really have it all. This business has been around forever. I've been going here for years upon years. This, in and of itself, proves that they are reliable place to get the things that they have to offer. In terms of layout, this is a large spacious facility. There is plenty of room in the aisles and the overall environment is very open. It is also always very well maintained. They always have a large number of staff members on the floor to help you out if you need any guidance in the type of vitamin or nutritional material that you want. So, you know you'll get the right thing if you come here and don't know exactly what it is you are looking for. I've shopped there many years. But, recently When I walked in, they were all standing around laughing and talking to each other. Not even noticing customers. I placed several items in my cart. I wanted to shop some more, but I suddenly had the urge to go number one. I am 70 now. I asked a "worker " if I please may use the restroom and I could leave my cart with him. The guy wanted me to walk about four buildings down to use a bathroom. I've been shopping there half my life. (since Mrs. Lindberg was around.) The manager they said it was now policy. That they didn't have any public restrooms there. I said, but I am a customer for many years and they did not care. That guy I talked to said he was the manager, but I found out that he is not. When I called the manager, Vickie, she said they were sorry, but that's now their policy. Long standing customers who are shopping there are helping pay their rent. But they don't care. I will be taking my business elsewhere. It's no longer Covid madness and you can't just lock up your bathrooms and tell your senior customers to go down the street. You technically can. You do. Buh-bye rude employees. No wonder everyone goes online now to buy things. read more

When I'm looking for something I can't find anywhere else, this is the place I come to, and they have it. They're fairly large and well organized. They carry vitamins, protein mixes, teas, nutritional bars, drinks, etc., with refrigerated items located in the back of the store. This free standing store is way better than any of the ones located in the mall. read more

Lindberg Nutrition - Great purchase on vital is only $100 - Health Markets Near Me - Torrance, California

I don't usually write reviews however, I decided to share my experience about what happened at this location. A few days ago I went to make a purchase. Usually, I purchase the same things so I'm in and out in less than 5 minutes, but this last purchase required more time to price check since there were numerous brands who sold the same product. Every time I go inside, I'm followed by the very short gentlemen who works there with black hair. He's about 5 feet tall and barley reaches the top of the aisle. I'm not sure if he works for loss prevention and is profiling people or is just being creepy however, his actions can make paying customers feel unwelcomed. He usually acts like he is rearranging the shelves, but you'll glance over and see he's watching you. Since again I'm usually out in 5 minutes I ignore it because its not worth my time. As I was shopping this time, I walked to the next aisle and sure enough he followed me to that aisle however, when he seen that another employee was already in that aisle sitting on the floor stocking merchandise, he made an about face 180 and left. At this point I casually told the employee that was sitting on the floor (I later found out her name was Ariel) about my experience. What prompted me to write this review is because instead of her saying something like "I'm sorry, is there anything I could assist you with?" she actually wanted to argue with me with and make excuses for why this employee would make a paying customer feel unwelcomed. I explained to her that the onus isn't on me to make myself feel welcomed in the store. That it's the employees who are supposed to ask customers if they need assistance especially when said employees make eye contact with you and don't say a word then follow you to different aisles like that very short gentlemen did (I didn't get his name). At that point I asked to speak with her manager and went to the cash register to pay for my items. As I was in line the short gentlemen employee who I was talking to Ariel about who again has never asked me if I needed assistance the several times I've been in there previously, comes up to me while in line and asks, "if I needed help finding anything". Why would he ask me if i need help when I'm already in line waiting to checkout? The time to ask if I needed help was when I was actually shopping in the aisles when you made eye contact and were following me around not when I'm ready to checkout. The fact he did that means that instead of getting a manager like I had requested Ariel decided it was better to tell the short gentlemen employee that I had a complaint about him which only escalates a situation instead of diffusing which is why I asked for the manager. Telling another employee that I had an issue with their lack of professionalism while I'm still in the store and having that same employees come up to me in line speaks to his and Ariel's lack of customer service skills. The manager didn't come out until he was paged again by the cashier. Once the manager came out (he's short as well but older and wears glasses, like Ariel) he couldn't care less. I first asked what the employees name was, and his response was "can I also have your name" instead of actively listening and seeking out why I asked to speak to him in the first place. He even made a strange remark about letting his district manager know about the situation which I found odd because up until then I never shared to him my experience so, what was he going to let his district manager know??? At that point I knew it would be a waste of time trying to seek resolution by telling the manager (based on his demeanor) my concerns and just decided it was better to let other shoppers and potential customers know about my experience via this platform and community. read more

I feel sad writing this review for what used to be my favorite vitamin shop . I've been coming to Lindberg nutrition since it used to be apart of the Del amo mall in the 90s . I would often go with my grandmother as a kid after we had picked up some items at the mall . Lindberg nutrition has always been a reasonably priced vitamin store with a great selection of items compared to some more well known vitamin store chains . The staff is usually super friendly and super knowledgeable . So why the one star ? Today unfortunately I was profiled by Victor who is one of the managers . I had entered the store and walked straight to the weight loss section to buy more of the weight loss supplements I had purchased a few weeks ago . While I was in the aisle comparing the price of the supplement I intended to purchase to similar products next to it I noticed a short older man appear at the end of the aisle I was in . I immediately made eye contact with him to see if he was approaching me to see if I needed any help . After I made eye contact he turned around . However just moments later I noticed the same man appear on the other side of the aisle . Again I made eye contact but as soon as he saw that I saw him again he turned around . I presume because of my race and what's been going on with media coverage he assumed I was trying to steal something . Now I don't know if I can visit this particular location again without being triggered . I really don't want to buy supplements on amazon . I like supporting local businesses . I hope corporate reaches out and retrains him and other relevant staff . Every customer deserves to be treated equally . I understand the need for surveillance as people do steal but use cameras so that you can monitor everyone at the same time and not make people feel singled out . Singling people out because of race or whatever factor can make people feel as if they aren't as valued as other customers and even cause some psychological harm . read more

Lindberg is my go-to local nutrition store. I spend a lot of time in Vegas and also go to a store out there. Lindberg's stock and pricing is comparable to theirs and I appreciate that, because it allows me to get more stuff! I usually go in to buy Allmax protein powder blends like Hexapro, Isoflex, AllWhey Gold, or Casein FX. What I really love is that their protein powders come with a lock for the scoop, so you don't have to dig through to find it. I also get my preworkouts here. I use Allmax H:Vol, Allmax Impact Igniter, or Allmax Razor 8. I use Allmax AminoCore for my BCAA's and Allmax A-Cuts. As you can see, I use a lot of Allmax products. I've tried other brands and would still use those other brands, but so far I love Allmax and I love that Lindberg carries a lot of their line. The only things that they don't carry are Allmax AllWhey Classic protein and the C:Vol, post workout supplement. I can order those elsewhere, but I appreciate that they carry the bulk of my stack at great prices. In addition to this, the store is ALWAYS well-stocked, overall. They carry hundreds of brands, including their own. If you need any type of vitamins or supplements, they have it. My doctor told me that my copper was low...like so what, right??! But he wanted me to take a copper supplement. Guess what? They had it! They also carry cool items like protein chips, which I have to say aren't too bad. Plus they have protein pancakes, protein peanut butter powder to add to shakes or pancake batter and they carry Walden Farms products! I'm greeted several times by different people, just walking in the door! That, in addition to their stock and prices sets the bar for me! They ALWAYS have a lot of friendly staff on hand to help you and point you in the right direction and most importantly, the staff is knowledgeable in the supplements, so they can help you find the right one for you, especially if you're just starting out. read more

Lindberg is very competitive. Employees are friendly and professional. There is another location on PCH in Manhattan Beach. Both locations carry an abundance of nutritional items at competitive prices. Staff are professional and friendly. Great customer service! Make sure to pick up the "Complete Cookie"! Lindberg Nutrition is a thing of the past. This store is Piping Rock. The few major label items I bought that had carried over from the Lindberg days have now been phased out. I do not trust the quality of Piping Rock brand and will not buy their label, so I will no longer buy anything here. It's sad to see what the original store. that was a legit health food store, has turned into since the acquisition. Raquel is still there though and she's top notch. I never paid attention to this place until today. My bf and I were waiting for Daiso to open. We parked in front of Lindberg and waited for my cell to charge. At close to 10:00 a.m. on a Sunday, we saw a number of people waiting outside for the store to open. I wondered what the hype was about and entered cautiously with my bf. Lindberg has a surprising selection of supplement items for prices that beat all of its competitors. I picked up Happy Pills for $25+ and Kombucha for $2.99. The 2016 YELP 500, Review #023: For years I have known about and ordered from this fantastic business. Of course the only frowny face I can post about them isn't actually about them at all. It is just that I get so tired of companies changing their product line up or messing with the formula for a supplement. i.e. Champion Nutrition's Metabolol II (Met II) formula was adjusted to have more protein (odd because it was a marketed "High Energy" supplement and it WAS loaded with both carbs and vitamins and minerals in addition to the aminos it still has. Next... Twin Labs phased out Ultra Fuel (liquid) more than ten years ago and recently their powder version of the product. As a triathlete in the 80s and now an endurance cyclist I will say that these were two quality product that produced serious results... The good thing is the trustworthy, educated employees at Lindberg have helped me with my in-store purchases during each of my California visits. They have gone as far as to walk around with me, almost like a personal shopper. This is why I always make time, during business or pleasure trips to the area, to pick things up here. I'm into supplements and vitamins cause I'm on the go from 6am on....non stop! Need to be super-focused during the day cause sometimes people want to try to outhustle me. These products keep me on top of the game, alert and wide-eyed. I love coming here cause there's so many employees on every aisle, ready to help and answer any questions. Very friendly folks, so there's no excuse not to ask. Lots of good flyers too on what to take for what ails you and how to prevent it. I know lots of people are into the tumeric pills (hype?) but I asked a Pakistani couple nearby who was looking at fish oil pills if it was worth it to buy those pills or just buy the tumeric spice and cook to get the benefits? They just shrugged and laughed. I'm into the antioxidant superfoods to mix in my smoothies and I supported local by buying the Lindberg brand instead of my usual Macrolife or Amazing greens. I also bought some Nattokinase for bone and heart health. I love Japanese food but can't bring myself to eat natto. They didn't have the Solaray Cherry supplements (for my slight carpal tunnel when I worked in salons) but they had other brands that were comparable. I think Lindberg Nutrition dates as far back as the early 50s. I've been a customer of the Torrance CA locations for 42 years and, up until now, never felt the need to write a review. When I first started patronizing Lindberg, it was a smaller operation and sold brand-name supplements that were popular back then. I used to even see Gladys Lindberg there offering health advice and selling copies of her book, Take Charge of Your Health, from a stack of copies alongside other snake oil books like The Vitamin Bible by frauds like Eearl Mindell. As time went by, Lindberg changed its Torrance location and expanded. Gladys sort of disappeared and Judy Mcfarland, I believe her daughter, took over the role of hostess. Lindberg also opened Nutrition Express to tap into the mail order market and moved their product lines more toward sports performance nutrition and started labeling their own products but sort of kept a southern fried extreme Christian fundamentalist atmosphere with all the customary intolerance about their operation. I knew two of the managers there personally as well as the manager of Nutrition Express. As time went by, the Lindberg label started to be replaced by Piping Rock products which now dominate the operation. Judy McFarland has long since disappeared and that's probably due to Pipping Rock Health now being listed as partners with Lindberg Nutrition and Nutrition Express which is corporate language for takeover. Needless to say, there's nothing even remotely personal about Lindberg anymore. It's all just business. Pipping Rock regularly sends out emails for half-price and BOGO sales on select products that are shipped from East Coast locations. If you're looking for these products at the email prices while at the storefront, they won't know what you're talking about. I'll continue to shop at Lindberg when it's handy and the prices are right. But I've long since learned to shop eBay and Amazon for better prices and service along with better or equal quality. read more
