I have reviewed Lindey's before and they are (to be redundant) consistently consistent. Whether you first visited in 1979 (my first visit - they opened in 1958), or 2026, not much has changed. The inside of the restaurant is nearly identical, the food is nearly identical, much of the staff is identical, the signature meal is nearly identical. The only significant changes are the ever-increasing prices of the steaks. The rustic cabin vibe never gets old. However, one thing that I did not previously review are Lindey's lunches. This has to be the only restaurant where the lunch menu offers more choices than the dinner menu! Now, keep in mind that the dinner menu has only four choices (really only three, if you don't count the prime sirloin which no one orders because it's only a dollar or two less than the "special." However, in addition to the "full" dinner menu, at lunch you can get steak sandwich, two sizes of hamburger, a grilled chicken sandwich, and a grilled cheese sandwich. If my math is correct, that's double the options! On the plus side, the steak sandwich is excellent and costs less than third of the Lindey's special. It is tasty, juicy, comes on an excellent hoggy bun and seems be the same cut as the dinner steak (albeit, a smaller quantity of course). All sandwiches come with either chips or their funky (but lovable salad with Russian dressing), and a pickle spear. Please note that if you want their potatoes, it's $2.95 extra, and additional ingredients -- from onions to tomato to lettuce are about a dollar extra per ingredient. Still, it's a solid value. Also, if you are used to the dinners, please note that the potatoes are not limited and the price is per person, not for the table. All in all, I recommend Lindey's for both dinner and lunch. However, if you have only had dinner there, I urge you to try if for lunch too!.

I love Lindeys ,the staff is always super friendly and the food is very consistent with quality and taste, and value. Don't forget to sign up for their birthday discount!!!. Honestly, the house dressing is so good. One of my favorite dressings . Gotta get the mushrooms otherwise your missin out. They have plenty of parking and spacious dining area.

Saturday evening around 8pm without a reservation. It was busy but no problems getting us a good seat. Service was friendly and quick. Overall a good, old fashion family style restaurant. We ordered, obviously the Sirloin Steak and the broiled Shrimp. Shrimp was fresh, but sorry overpriced and the steak which was also good was more on the rare side than medium.

    How'd you like your steak?

We went to Lindeys to celebrate my husbands birthday. We got the special sirloin to split. Plenty of food. They do charge a plate share I think $14.95. The piece of meat was plenty for two and we each got their salad, potato's, and garlic bread. We also ordered the mushrooms which were really good. Everything was great including the service. We went for lunch so it wasn't too busy. Highly recommend if you're in the mood for a steak.

This was our first time visiting this restaurant. The hubby & I came for our Thursday date night. Our Server Linda was absolutely AMAZING. We will definitely request her when we come again. We both ordered the "Lindey's Special Sirloin" Medium Rare & it was cooked perfectly. We also ordered the Mushrooms. I am giving 4 stars because we felt that the steak, potatoes and mushrooms lacked flavor and were very plain tasting. I would have liked them to have came somewhat pre-seasoned but I was able to add Pepper, Salt & Garlic Powder at the table, which was great. The Dinner Salad was delicious. The Garlic Bread was crunchy & delicious. It was a nice experience but we probably won't be back.

Second visit to this establishment and much happier with the food choices... the Lindey's Special Sirloin was super tender and just the right temperature. A melt in your mouth deliciousness. The potatoes were tasty hot and seasoned just right. The last time these tasted like thrice baked smashed potatoes, which were a disappointment. Sautéed Mushrooms platter was a good add & even I as not a lover enjoyed a few. Waitress answered all our questions & gave us good advice on our options. My drink selection of the pricier old fashioned went down smoothly! Wood panel interior gives a nice old school feel & window seats gave us a nice view of the area.

We were early for our reservation and we seated almost immediately. This is a classic steakhouse. The service was quick, friendly and unobtrusive. We ordered our steaks medium rare and medium. Cooked perfectly. Flavor was exceptional. Tender and juicy. Only drawback was the steak knives were pretty dull and we had a little trouble cutting. Meal comes with a garlic bread bite basket, garden salad and potatoes( not sure what to call them. Maybe "smashed"?) we also ordered the chocolate cake for dessert. The restaurant was quite loud however I can't hold it against them. It was the other patrons not the staff making such a ruckus

Mary, our server was phenomenal and really gave us a full dining experience! The food was excellent, so much care went into crafting the meals! Would highly suggest the pink squirrel after dinner drink/dessert!!!

I don't know how often you need a Supper Club at 3:30 on a Friday- but my husband and I did. Easy parking, perfect atmosphere with piped ipiano music, old fashions, split the Lindsey's special sirloin and shared a plate which included salad, bread, sautéed mushrooms and hash browns..oh my!! Our server Bev D. was absolutely perfect.

One of our favorite birthday traditions is dinner at Lindey's steakhouse. If you sign up for their mailing or text club (before your birthday) they will mail you $25 off an entree for your birthday! They have a limited menu consisting of 3 different steak cuts or broiled shrimp for dinner and a steak or chicken sandwich or burger for lunch. Dinner comes with bread basket, salad and potatoes. Portion sizes are very large! The atmosphere is your typical supper club vibe with comfortable seating and the staff is always so nice! Plenty of parking available in the lot and reservations are encouraged.

Ask the Community - Lindey's Prime Steak House

Does the restaurant have a bar area to have a drink before your reservation?

    Yes :)

Can you order off the dinner menu for lunch I have a reservation for Valentine's Day and I really want a big steak .. not a steak sandwich 🫤?

Hi Diana, Yes...you can order a steak from our dinner menu any time during business hours (lunch or dinner).

    Good for families?

I'd say conditionally yes...the atmosphere is fine (old school supper club), BUT note that the menu is extremely limited. This is a steak place, and just that...and the only steak is the Lindey's way...a sirloin. There's 2-other options: broiled…

What is the difference between the Special steak and the regular cut? Also is there a option to add a couple of shrimp to the steak order?

The difference is the cut of meat. The special steak is more tender and a center cut. I did not see an option to add shrimp, but that is something that can be answered by staff.

Is the menu as limited as it appears ? Do they only offer a sirloin? No Ribeyes?

Correct. Lindey's is known for their limited menu of doing only that cut

From the hostess who graciously held the doors open for us in the 95° heat to our incredible server, David, everything was outstanding. We started with cocktails. I had what may have been the best bourbon Old Fashioned I've ever tasted, and my wife enjoyed a wonderfully refreshing cocktail (whose name I, unfortunately, can't remember). We began our meal with the roasted Brussels sprouts. Normally, I'm not much of a Brussels sprouts fan, but I happily cleaned the plate. My wife and I shared the 12-ounce filet mignon, cooked medium rare, and it was absolute perfection. Chef's kiss. David recommended a bottle of wine to pair with our steak. It wasn't inexpensive, but it was worth every penny. But wait... there's more. As incredible as that wine was with the filet, it somehow paired even better (yes, I know that sounds impossible) with the slice of heaven they call chocolate cake. I'm sure it has a much fancier name on the menu, but "slice of heaven" seems more accurate. If you've read my other reviews, you know I have a tendency toward hyperbole. If there were ever a time to lean into it, this is it. THIS MEAL WAS FANTASTIC. THE AMBIANCE WAS PERFECT. THE FOOD WAS EXCEPTIONAL. AND THE COMPANY WAS DIVINE. We will absolutely be back--and when we do, we'll be asking for a table in David's section. (He works Tuesday through Friday.)

I started with the tequila and mezcal Old Fashioned, and it was fantastic. It was well-balanced, beautifully presented, and garnished perfectly. The food was equally impressive. The wings were delicious--crispy, well-seasoned, and cooked perfectly. My only small note would be that the celery was a little limp. The Caesar salad has officially been added to my regular rotation. The jammy egg was cooked perfectly with a rich, yolky center that was still easy to slice. The Parmesan crisps were thoughtfully sized, adding great texture without being so large they scraped the roof of your mouth. The salad was evenly dressed, making every bite flavorful. Overall, excellent food, outstanding cocktails, and warm, attentive service. I'll definitely be back.

You ask a question, they've got an answer. Ask another one, now you're learning about cuts you didn't even know existed and suddenly you're standing there reconsidering your entire weekend barbecue strategy like a man staring at religion through a glass display case. That's the problem with this place. You walk in thinking, "I'll just grab some hamburger and maybe a couple steaks," and five minutes later you want to leave with half the damn store. They've got custom sauces, spices, rubs, marinades, meat enhancements, all the stuff that turns a backyard cookout into the kind of meal where people stop talking for a minute after the first bite. I've been to a few butcher shops around the city, but Ready Meats feels different. No gimmicks. No artisanal nonsense. No guy in suspenders trying to sell you parsley foam for nineteen dollars. Just meat. And people who know meat. Which is kinda the whole point, ain't it?
