I love this place. The feel in the place is super old school Vegas. You don't find many places that have this ambiance nowadays. The service was great, I was with a bunch of old ladies and we had a hard time decided how we were gonna order because they just wanted to play tabs lol but we figured it out eventually. We had just some appetizers cause we were still stuffed from the fair. We had the blue cheese and steak bites, the relish plate with the bread, the steak sandwiches, and the antipasto salad. Came here on a Saturday night and pretended we are a decade or 2 older than we really are when we sat down at the bar for dinner around 5 PM. They have their own parking lot, which makes it so much easier when I'm in a neighborhood I don't know too well. The bartenders are friendly and the atmosphere is incredible. You feel like you're thrown back in time in a restaurant that could be the setting for a great old movie and the place begs to be filled with live jazz and crowds of happy people. The petite filet at $35 seems like a fair price for the quality steak and all of the extras/sides like pickles and vegetables, a green salad (just lettuce and one cherry tomato?!), a big basket of garlic toast, and a baked potato loaded with cheddar cheese (we added a side of mushrooms extra). I had a glass of the Chianti and it was really good. But by far the best part of the meal was the freshly blended grasshopper drink - a perfect ending to the evening in this throwback spot. The host took us to the dining room to be seated and asked us which of two nice tables we preferred. Our server, Holly, was friendly, attentive, and helpful. The owner even came by to make sure everything was to our satisfaction during our meal. They only have two starter options and we opted for the herring and crackers, have never tried that before. The herring was simply pickled without any cream. It wasn't bad, but if we went back, we would probably either skip a starter or try the shrimp cocktail. For our entrées, I had the Mancini special New York strip with sautéd green beans. My steak was hand cut and a nice size, probably 14 to 16 ounces. It was perfectly prepared with a nice char, medium rare, juicy, and very flavorful. And at only $42, probably the best quality steak deal I have recently experienced. I highly recommend it. The accompanying sauté green beans were fresh, firm, and delicious. My wife had the walleye, prepared with olive oil and almonds, and it was very good. We had planned to share the steak and share the walleye. Neither of us had had that fish before, and I would definitely order that without hesitation. My wife was not a huge fan of the fish, but I was and definitely would recommend it. For dessert, my wife had a brandy Alexander. I tried the homemade special recipe spumoni. I have to say it was the best spumoni ice cream I've ever tasted. It is an old family recipe created by the founder with a local dairy. If we weren't traveling, I would've taken some home. My only disappointment was the 3.5% credit card fee they charged. Why so many restaurants have continued this policy post Covid is disappointing. It's like a price gouging virus. However, Mancini's has not jacked their food prices up as well. They have maintained high-quality food at lower prices than the competitors so the credit card fee is not as painful. Like most of the other reviews, I will note that Mancini's is a classic steakhouse with legitimate old school vibes. We came to celebrate a birthday with a party of six. Our reservation was for 7:30 PM on a weekday, and I was shocked to see people waiting for a table and a completely packed house! We were seated promptly, and our server was very attentive and friendly. The relish tray is always the bomb and the bread cannot be put into words. I got a rare filet mignon with veggies and it was cooked perfectly. The veggies were super crisp and delicious. I also got a couple glasses of the house Cabernet Sauvignon and it was good. Other orders in my party consisted of the double lobster dinner, two other cuts of steaks, and the veggie quinoa plate with chicken added. The veggie plate gal, who is unfortunately, the birthday girl, didn't care for her food, but that's what she gets for ordering the vegetable bowl at a steakhouse. They brought out a cake for the birthday girl and packaged the leftovers up nicely to go. It's just a basic white cake with vanilla frosting, but it's so good and hasn't changed over the years if you've had it before. This visit far surpasses a previous visit a few years back where I vowed to be cautious about returning. Went for my birthday on 8/8 Great first time experience and ambience. Our server Tammy was truly amazing. And made it a very well serviced evening. However, i asked my steak be prepared med-well. The food came out very rare. So rare that the server insisted she take it back to have it prepared as I wanted it and I agreed. We were not directly by the kitchen, yet my girlfriend and I and the couple sitting on both sides of us were sweating. One of my tablemates is a vegan so I had a chance to see another non-meat entree. I checked the pics on the web and the fish entree sat on a plate surrounded by a baked potato and green beans looking quite lovely. I would expect a larger than 6 or 7 oz filet for $35, one with enough girth to enjoy that flaky flesh experience. Maybe ordering it blackened was an error and it shrunk The blue cheese dressing for the salad AND the baked potato nestled in foil (which helps the skin be better) were good. I've spent time in kitchens at this price scale in the pantry and on the line. If the menu includes a Caesar Salad I would expect to see Romaine in the house salad and maybe some spinach or other greens. I'm too picky and the economics of dining out may now be forcing sizing and ingredient adjustments. My companion on my left ordered the sirloin medium. To me, that's bewildering. A little disappointed this visit. Took my friend there for his birthday. I have always ordered the sirloin but thought I'd try the $12 more expensive New York strip. My dining companion ordered the sirloin. Besides both being a bit charred on the outside I feel we both had the same cuts of meat (I don't think mine was actually the New York!). First time here. The place doesn't feel like a supper club because it was more classy and the decor were fancy and well maintained. Love the reflecting mirrors up in the ceiling. A nice selection of steak cuts with limited non steak options. But a great selections for kids to choose from so that's a plus. The kids cheese was too well done and too crispy for my daughter's liking. The chicken strips seems like it was good. My steak was a little under cook but the server was happy to have it cooked a little longer for me. The green beans were cooked nicely with a little crunch but doesn't taste under cooked.
