Yummy food, great service, and really cute little festive spot! All our food was delicious, and they had a nice menu selection!

Gypsy toast (french toast) with berries and Maine maple syrup

Great find in small town! I went there for brunch and had Gypsy toast with added berries! It was delicious, you could smell the cinnamon when the plate hit the table. Caramel latte was also plus. Wait staff were friendly and attentive on a busy Sunday morning. I'll definitely be back and want to try dinner.

Just another update to say, that this place just gets better and better. When holidays pop up , like Mother's Day or Father's Day, they do a special menu, on top of the already 5 star menu they serve every day. This review is to highlight that fact, and they do it so so well. This time we went for Mother's Day, well the day after, and knew nothing of the MD special event menu. OMG the menu itself had so many delicious sounding choices , it took me 20 minutes to decide on my meal. The service is always top notch, the kitchen is always 5 star and the food is definitely something to write home about. This quaint little eatery inside of the cornish inn is somewhat of a rising star and I'm so happy to see that it's getting the recognition they really deserve. If you haven't been to Lindsay's, check them out, you won't regret it. The lunch menu is smaller than the dinner menu, so if you're looking for a large variety, go for dinner. Their menu may be on the smaller side but they do it so dang well. For Mother's Day I had their chicken and waffles - to die for- and wish it was a regular menu item! They make their own sauces and really put in the love to make their dishes special.

    Buffalo chicken soup

Great vibe on a Saturday afternoon. Parking can be tough so get there early. Good personal service and always something new on the menu. Limited beer selection but some locals on tap. Had the buffalo chicken soup for a starter, really hit the spot.

I was a little bummed with this spot. I've heard rave reviews and couldn't wait to try. Stopped by today half an hour before they closed, and they initially were very friendly. Ordered some food and some waters, but water never came... As we were waiting for our food, our waitress was very loudly commenting on customers pulling in to the parking lot, claiming she didn't want to serve them because they were so close to closing. I get it- having last minute customers sucks- but shouting it angrily through the whole restaurant was very uncomfortable. Food was okay, I got eggs Benedict and the eggs were raw. Not poached - raw. It just wasn't flavorful and wasn't good. The hash browns were straight up salt. Would've been fine had they brought us the water we asked for! They were out of almost everything (which is fine, we were there very late), our waitress was just seemingly mad for no reason when we asked about things. Maybe we hit them on a bad day. They have outdoor seating, the hostess was sweet, it smelled really nice. Just the food and service were a miss for me. Sorry!

Holy cow. What a gem out in the little towns of Maine!!! The SO and I had ZERO expectations for this place. We chose it because someone was craving pancakes (when does he not?) and we were planning on some true blue berry picking nearby... Down the country road you turn into where there's a sign that says "airport" and the Runway Restaurant is right there. There's parking a plenty and no worries...the airport is open but more like small jets. There weren't any near misses. Going in was much more modern than I expected. It was almost hipster like but without the pretension. There are booths and a large counter with a nice view into the kitchen. We were there around 10 or so and seated quickly. (Around 11 there was a line!!) The menu is all breakfast stuff. Your normal fare, pancakes, french toast, omelettes, etc. Their lunch menu was on the chalk board and they had a special farm to table menu. I chose the Barn Yard Benny...eggs benedict with feta on focaccia, mashed potato cakes, chili hollandaise..and the SO got the Hungry Man plate...eggs toast ham home fries and short stack. It took maybe 10 minutes for the order to come in. Holy cow. That grub was so fancy and so delicious, I was spewing wtfbbq with every bite. That hollandaise!!!!! Should you come all the way out here for some food? Let's just say we will definitely be making the 45 minute drive here again!!! Oh and the service was fine. Our wait staff was present and really nice. It did get a little slow at the end because they suddenly got very busy but not a big deal at all.

Corned beef hash, scrambled eggs, home fries and raisin toast, all for just under $10!

"Do you still offer gluten-free toast?" "We do." "Oh great!" "Would you like an English muffin, multigrain, raisin or white?" "The gluten-free, please." (Why is she now telling me what other kinds of bread they have, who cares, I want gluten-free.) "Those are gluten-free. Which one would you like?" Oh snap! Our breakfast was perfection once again.

I don't throw around 5 star reviews lightly. Breakfast is my favorite meal of the day and I am a devoted bruncher on weekends. I live in Portland and don't often venture out too much as there are so many great brunch places in town. One visit to the Runway Restaurant took everything I thought I knew about brunch, spun it around in the air with the skill of Bobby Flay and served up some of the most innovative and delicious dishes I have had in a long, long time. Let me start with the example of what I ordered. My dish was called the "Finally Fall Benny" and here is the description: We start with two perfectly grilled buttermilk biscuits with a thin layer of apple butter, topped with cider glazed pork loin and a fresh apple, carrot, red onion and cabbage compote. Topped with 2 (perfectly) poached eggs and finished with a cinnamon chipotle spiced hollandaise. Served with onion and cheddar home fries. Now, take a deep breath, sit back in your chair and think about that for a few minutes. So, here's the even crazier part, everything we ordered, I mean everything, was equally delicious!!! We also shared a corn waffle with fried chicken and honey poached pears, and a pierogi filled with golden beets and farmers cheese. The staff is friendly and accommodating, the prices are reasonable compared to downtown Portland (1.50 for coffee) and sometimes, you can see one of those small 2 seater propeller planes fly right by the big picture window. Super cool! Don't even hesitate or over think taking the drive out to Limington. Put the phone down, shut the computer, and get to the Runway Restaurant as soon as you possibly can. Pro tip: Once you park outside, run into the restaurant as fast as you possibly can. Lingering in the parking lot is time you could have spent inside, reading the menu, preparing to order and consuming consistently badass cuisine. Trust me, you won't want to waste one minute!

Homemade cornbread, perfectly done potatoes, sausage links, eggs with chili, sour cream, and jalapeños. What a beautiful mix of flavors.

I hadn't been back this way for quite a while until last month. I live in New York so I don't get up here all that much. Everybody in my family cooks a good breakfast so it's very rare that we go out for it. But my sister and I were tired of cooking so she suggested that we go over to our favorite little place near her house. Their menu has changed with some really wonderful new choices. I'm just gonna let the picture speak for itself.

Great place to enjoy some stick to your bones good eats! Tucked infront of a small airport, hence the name. They offer a diverse menu with plenty of options to satisfy your hunger. I like how they offer more than the same old, same old. Their offerings are stepped up with their own twists which are delicious! I enjoyed my chicken and waffles with poached pears....DELICIOUS! When in Maine I'll definitely stop in again!

A great experience - food and service!…read more Parking - It can be tricky and because there are other businesses nearby, please be very careful to not park in reserved spaces - some are labled and some are not. A friend had parked and a salon worker came out to inform her it was reserved parking. We arrived mid morning on a Sunday before "tourist season" and we were seated pretty quickly. As Jeff D mentioned - It's cozy in here. It's smaller dining area with a combination of low tops and high top tables. It only felt crowded once a large party of above average sized guys came in...I think they were 8 - They were football player sized guys, With that said, we were able to squeeze by them when we left. I had to get a table pancake (shared) based on the yelp photos and descriptions people had shared. It was fluffy and delicious. Was well cooked, not overcooked or undercooked. The breakfast plates are great. Yummy potatoes, next time, I am going to try the regular homefries. The bread....YUM...it's housemade!!! Great portions, great price and great service!
