I came in hopeful to find a new shop in the area that I can trust. When I left I was absolutely frustrated that I had wasted my time and money. My issue remains unresolved and Mr. Lindsay made off with a quick buck on preventative maintenance. After 2 1/2 hours was up, I started the car only to find out that the noise I came in to fix was still there! All they had to do was start my dang car to find out! A lack of communication is the last thing I want to have when my money is on the line. I may have left this place two stars or even three for the effort, but when I came back to the shop to tell them my issue was unresolved, Mr. Lindsay said the shop which previously worked on my car is responsible for the issue. I have finished several projects with my hometown shop and I have never once had the owner blame someone else for an issue with my car! He either tells me what problems/delays he is having with my car or he finishes the job in a timely manner. Mr. Lindsay is dishonest because he did not know what was truly wrong with my car and instead he blamed someone else. Totally disappointed. The only further association I'd like to have with this shop is through the BAR in order to get my money back. I paid for preventative maintenance that I did not need and he attempted to overcharge me for tires afterwards. (Quoted $107 per tire for 13" tires. I found the same name-brand tires for $35 on Amazon and Walmart. In fact, I couldn't even find them for over $100!) Hide your wallets. Somehow he has stayed afloat for over 13 years. read more

I trust him enough to send my wife in with her car without me being there! The only reason I'm giving a one star is cause Shawn was nice to me when I first met him. I know he owns the shop but I don't know who the fuck worked on my car......I have a Mercedes-Benz and I don't think they knew what they were doing! My seatbelt broke (not cause I'm a fat ass, it actually broke while I wasn't even moving) and it looked like they literally took a knife to my car! I didn't see this till after I paid and realized I could hear metal on metal when I closed the door. I was told it would be about $700 to fix the seatbelt by Shawn but it was REALLY like $900 something. I knew parts for Mercedes were expensive but my guy quoted $750-$800. I was convinced by family to go to Shawn to be cheaper and cause they had a good relationship. The part the guys took a knife to cost $700 ITSELF! I definitely learned my lesson, don't be cheap cause it'll cost you more. I wanted to call and confront Shawn because he seemed like a nice guy and might take care of it.... but I literally had so much happen and family drama that I decided to eat my money and not say anything. The only reason I decided to do this was because my guy found the part cheap on discount and it would have cost less than to take it to small claims. read more

Sean really takes great care of me. Yesterday was the 2nd time this year I thought I was in for an expensive repair. I thought I needed brake pads and new rotors (prob $800-1000 on my Infiniti) but no, they were fine. Also got the battery replaced under warranty, at no charge for the 2nd time! My power seat isnt working right and needs an expensive repair which he didnt push for at all. Great guy, great work and never need to worry about overpaying. O yeah, the other repair last year - thought I needed a $1600 engine repair, as quoted by discount brakes, but he replaced a small seal for very cheap. I have been her two times. The first time my check engine light came on, it scared me. I had a test done at Auto Zone to see why the light came on, they said it was something to do with my gas tank. I then took my car to Lindsay Auto and instead of charging me all this money to do test and look at everything, Sean the owner said most likely i had a faulty gas cap, he wanted me to try it out for a day to see if the light would remain off, and it DID! very thoughtful of him to think of the cost for others. Just a few weeks ago my boyfriend ran over something and it cut a large hole in his gas tank, they looked at his car right away and said the whole tank needed replaced. The car was a 2013 so we thought for sure it would be a lot because of the year, but Sean then made the effort to find a used one and we didn't have to pay much, and didn't have to go through insurance. I never had an auto service that treated me like a family member. i recommend this place to all my friends and family, very trust worthy. read more

I had been going to them for years, but stopped a few years back feeling they lacked the attention to detail they once had. This feeling was confirmed recently when issues started presenting themselves. I've discovered incorrect parts (wrong size fuel filter, etc.) were installed...and the freeze plug they left in my engine! A few years back I had them replace some freeze plugs that were leaking. Well, they didn't tell me one popped into my engine and they did not try to retrieve it! A month ago the plug worked its way into my pump. Engine smoked, seized, and shredded my s-belt. Luckily it happened on a side street where I could immediately pull over, turn off the car, and have AAA tow to their shop. AAA discovered the issue, pulled the mangled plug out of my pump. Repair job costing me a few hundred dollars. I say lucky, because it could have been far worse, like the car is on the highway moving to another state and/or I completely lose the engine. I would be leery of their work. Especially with a safety concern. The attention to detail they once had, is and has been gone for some time now. Your better off doing the work yourself or taking it to AAA. The local AAA shop on E. Valley Auto Drive has been great these past few years, saved my car, talk the issue out with me, show me the parts they removed, etc.. They are worth every penny! read more
