Linglong Cafe is a cute little spot located right inside YangGuoFu, but unfortunately, the pork bun and coffee were a miss for me. I ordered Combo B, which comes with a latte and two house made pork buns: The Latte: The espresso felt a bit too light and so you don't get much of that rich coffee flavor coming through The Pork Buns: I was really excited to try these since they are made in house, but it wasn't good. The bun itself was quite dry, and the meat filling was very minimal and lacking sauce. It's a nice space, but the quality of the combo was not that good

I like bun but what I ordered was not my cup of tea. I wasn't a fan of the sweet bun but that's just my taste, everyone should try it for themselves. They cook to order so it can take a little time to get your order. There's also an area where a barista is making drinks and it seemed pretty popular, so I may try a drink. Plenty of seats and tables inside.

Came in on a cold Saturday afternoon for lunch. Got soup dumplings and wontons. Everything was good, and would come here again for a soup dumpling fix.

    where's the red chili oil?

Got the pork soup dumplings and dumplings in red chili oil. The pork soup dumplings really lacked that pork soup flavor. It was like eating regular pork dumplings. I was so disappointed since I really wanted to be able to get this without visiting an actual restaurant and having to order so many dishes. I was hoping I can eat this alone whenever I wanted to. However, the worst goes to the dumplings in red chili oil. There was barely any chili oil. There was so much garlic and it was so burnt (??), the dumplings were bitter.

Ling Long is a little difficult to locate because it's a restaurant within a restaurant. I initially encountered it on Seamless (where its physical location was moot since it was being delivered to me in the lobby of my office building), but I decided to visit them as well after the first order resulted in a pleasant meal, especially since it was only a block or so away. The actual dumpling establishment is inside of a hot pot restaurant, which I believe is called YGF Malatang. I went over there last Thursday midday and the place was pretty packed - I imagine dreary weather is catnip for this place. It took a second to get my bearings and locate Ling Long, which was right by the front and pretty much closed off from the rest of the hot pot options (most of which seem to be picked up cafeteria style near the back of the room). There were two kiosks right by the dumpling prep area, and ordering on there was very straightforward. Even though it's a little awkward in there - there isn't a waiting area or comfortable place to stand that doesn't put you in the crosshairs of a hot pot customer going to and from their table - my dumplings came out in about 10 to 15 minutes, which I don't think is egregious for NYC during lunchtime when the food wasn't pre-ordered. Could have been a lot worse. Ling Long doesn't have a lot of meaty soup dumpling options compared to some other places. Normally I hit up the pork soup dumplings but since they weren't on this menu I went with the crabmeat dumplings, as well as sesame balls, something that looked intriguing and that I thought might fill me up a bit more than just the dumplings. The crabmeat dumps are excellent - very tasty/flavorful, and the dumpling itself is pretty durable, all things considered. I think it's next to impossible to keep an order of dumplings in perfect condition (there's usually a small leak or two once you get it out of the container) but nothing egregious where the container ended up with the dumps swimming in soup. The only issue I have with the dumplings is the order size - I'd have another option for six dumplings because four is a side. It's tough to justify buying lunch for just a glorified app (hence the inclusion of the sesame balls). I'd never had sesame balls before so I wasn't totally sure what they were or whether they'd be savory or sweet. It was pretty clear though that they're intended as a dessert; I remarked that they reminded me of an exotic Munchkin from Dunkin. Not bad, but a little too chewy for me, verging on gelatinous. I wouldn't go out of my way to order them again, but I also wouldn't need a gun pointed at my head to eat one. Take that for what you will. Service isn't really much of a factor with a takeout experience like this, but the fellow in the dumpling prep area was pretty communicative and kept me updated on the progression of the dumplings (e.g., "They'll be out in another minute or two."), and was pleasant as far as it goes. No issues in that regard. This seems like an area that has quite a few dumpling options (probably not coincidentally, this is a stone's throw from K-Town), but this is a decent one.

Very clean and nice workers. The variety of vegetables to put in the soup is vast. I love this place.

Loved this place on a family trip to NYC. Stumbled upon walking by, chicken maw soup was really delicious. Good service too.

We wandered over here after visiting the Empire State Building; it was only a five minute walk away! We went after watching the sunset, so around 8-ish, and were pleasantly surprised we didn't have to wait for a table. The atmosphere was bright and lively, but not too much to bring our seven-year-old. We ordered: PORK DUMPLINGS-- best thing we ordered. My. Goodness. The broth was perfectly seasoned and silky. Was always a little sad after the last bit of soup from each dumpling was slurped. ;) Meat inside was tender and flavorful and the wrapper wasn't too thin or thick. Just the right thickness to keep the soup inside until you were ready, but not so thick that it was too chewy or distracting from the contents. Also ordered, the SPICY BEEF DUMPLINGS as recommended by our server. They were yummy. Tasty soup and beef had a deeper flavor. Not too spicy. Next time, we will probably just order extra pork dumplings or try something new. We ordered the SCALLION PANCAKES. I prefer my scallion pancakes thinner. These were a lot like the thickness of a dense pita. Still enjoyed them-- still a nice texture that was both soft and crispy, perfectly greasy, and flavorful. CRISPY CHILI CHICKEN (or something like that) was good but nothing special. Had some heat but not too spicy. CUCUMBER SALAD-- was a nice cold addition to the meal. Loved the sesame oil, just wish there was more, as well as more flavor. We ended up pouring a little soy sauce on top and that helped. I thought it was nice to chase a bite of crispy chili chicken with a bite of cucumber. WHITE RICE-- we ordered three orders of rice that was perfectly prepared, but way too much for three adults. Not complaining, but each bowl would have probably been enough for two adults. Can't wait to return!

Dish highlights include the shrimp and chive dumplings, beef chow fun, and my personal favorite, the stuffed eggplant. Other items were a little bland, like the turnip cakes and har gow, and the pan fried shrimp noodles were awkwardly plated and made them difficult to eat. I also wish they had rice noodle rolls, which I didnt see on the menu. Really what pushed it to 5 stars to me was the service. We came as a huge group of 20, with a baby and stroller in tow, and they handled everything without so much as a grimace, just an outpouring of helpfulness. They sat half our group at a round table and the other half at a rectangular long table and also helped us navigate dietary restrictions, asking specifically who in the group had those restrictions. The menu is labeled too, so you know which items are vegetarian or gluten free. At one point our helpful server noticed we hadn't really touched that awkwardly plated noodle dish and offered to replace it with another. We didn't take him up on that as I'd find that wasteful but I thought that was so attentive and earned them a generous tip. The space is nice looking, and the food came out very quickly. We also didn't break the bank, even with plenty of drink orders. Dao's is an easy recommendation, especially when you factor in how seamlessly they handled our chaos.

Shiumai exceptional! Other food, not so much. Will not return for lunch special, perhaps only dumplings, presumably. Even the WHITE RICE is crunchy/overcooked/completely a disaster! Truly remarkable. Soup terrible, didn't even resume after first few cornstarchy bites. Perhaps it's on me for not pretty in the correct things, but if the rest of the offerings are this awful, please just don't even offer them. So very disappointing. The roast pork rice bowl looked good from the choices on the menu so decided to select that. For $15 it was a good deal as the roast pork and rice itself was plentiful and filling esp if one is hungry. Definitely had enough sauce which was good. Came with 1/2 egg which was nice. Food order and delivery from GHub was pretty quick esp since there was no specific time just asap (only downside of ordering via an app). However, food did stay warm. Choy Sum w/ Oyster Sauce - no green beans so we settled for some other greens and fiber. Nutritious, juicy, healthy, cannot complain here. Crispy Pork Belly - Not a bad price for the amount, great crispy skin on top with the typical balance of fat and meat. This one also hit the spot perfectly, even if not our favorite or best, the price and value cannot be beat while satisfying cravings.
