Delicious all around. The restaurant is a bit farther from Elmwood than we thought, so we didn't have to wait for a table on a Friday night, but it was still busy enough to be lively. We got the salami and cheese plate (this is how you do a charcuterie plate!), pinsa and pasta to share between 3 people and it was the perfect amount of food, and then some. It was all so good. The dessert (cherry something) was also good. The service was attentive but not overbearing. And the prices were reasonable as well, which is appreciated in times like these. Would definitely come back.

What a delicious dinner at Daniela! I've lived in the neighborhood my whole life, driven past thousands of times, and this was my first time there! We arrived at 4:30pm to beat the dinner rush and had basically a private restaurant. They get BUSY at lunch and dinner and do not take reservations. So, plan arrive to arrive early or be prepared for a wait. What we ordered: Aglio, olio e peperoncino - $21 Penne al pesto - $27 Turkey cranberry panini - $16 Arancini al ragú - $10 Tiramisu - $12 The restaurant is small but not cramped. We all loved the festive lights on the table. EVERYTHING was delicious. I just wish it wasn't $10 for one arancini.

Had to give them a try been meaning to stop by the entree I had was definitely good no complaints about the meal honestly would i come back probably not and i definitely would recommend especially because it's not pricey. The clementine cake was okay but not for me it had to much of a citrus taste. Server was great if your ever around Elmwood stop on in!

Tagliata di Manza - beef tenderloin in truffle oil, Parmesan and arugula. Great starter. The beef melts in your mouth. So delicious. Fungi e ricola - sautéed shiitake mushroom pizza. Very nice. I liked the crust. Like a delicious Italian bread. Outstanding Italian cuisine. Be prepared to spend a little money. I don't think the place exceeds any particular charm or artistic decor. Simple. But inviting. For a Friday evening, my girlfriend was able to snag a corner table very quickly. They don't take reservations. Street parking was luckily a also breeze. It can be difficult on busy evenings. We lucked out. Our server was a sweet young woman with a smile on her face. Welcoming and attentive.

We had a great dinner at Daniela on a Friday night. Because it is first come first served we arrived around 5:30 and were seated right away. There is only street parking but we were able to grab a close spot at this time of night. The restaurant was already fairly busy! Our waitress was great and honest about favorite food selections and service was wonderful. We struggled to make a decision about food and ended up sharing dishes. All of the food was outstanding! Fresh, great flavor, and delicious! We had the eggplant arancini, special beat salad, pesto penne, eggplant burrata penne, and margarita pizza. All were wonderful. The margarita pizza was so flavorful with fresh burrata and basil- I think it's the best margarita pizza I've ever had! The pesto was to die for!! Overall, great experience! Highly recommend!

YUM! Daniela makes some amazing pasta, and probably the best arancini I have ever had. So crispy, so delicious. Service is great. It was just very cold in there but otherwise the ambiance is nice with the dim lighting. We will definitely be coming back here

I've been here so many times I can't count. Food is to die for. Service is friendly. Don't take reservations but go for lunch you should be good. Small ambiance. Great place for hanging with friends or ordering food to go. Definitely a favorite.

Fabulous find! Had a group of 6 and it was worth the wait. Had a drink at the bar while we waited for a table to open up. I love the open layout and everyone enjoyed their meals and appetizers. Server was very nice and kept the drinks coming. The ambiance is adorable and has a higher end feel. Looking forward to returning again!

When I say I could eat here every day I'm not joking. I haven't had artisan pizza this good outside of Italy. The flavors were absolutely amazing. The pistachio cream on top of one of the pizzas we got was so delicious and fresh. The service was outstanding as well, our waiter was attentive and gave suggestions on the menu. The only thing is they do not take reservations, so go early or be prepared to wait. Will definitely be back!!

I've been here a handful of times; it's always been my go-to for dinner and drinks with my girlfriends. Most of my experiences here have been positive, so much so that I've recommended it countless times however, last night something was just off. My girlfriend and I went here last night (10/24/2025) around 5/530 PM. The restaurant wasn't super busy yet and there were spots at the bar, so we chose to sit there. I started off with the Italian Espresso Martini, it was so creamy and had a hint of Irish creme. They only serve beer and wine, so I'm always impressed with the creative cocktails the espresso martini is no exception. We then ordered the Mortadella burrata e pistacchio pinsa romana...the crust was light and airy and the topping was unexpected and flavorful. For dinner I ordered the orecchiette alle cime di rapi and my friend got the penne melanzane & burrata. My orecchiette was cooked perfectly and had just the right amount of olive oil and parmigiano. My friend said her dish was fantastic as well! Overall our meals were satisfying, and my plate was left clean. We had already agreed that we were both going to get a dessert and split them so we got the best of both worlds....but this is where our evening took an uncomfortable turn. After dinner we decided to order two more cocktails, we both ordered the spritzer, it's very refreshing and pretty to look at. At this point the bar/restaurant were getting much busier as to be expected on a Friday night of course. There were two people primarily behind the bar and in the beginning, they were both pleasant, asking us how our food was and making small talk. This is what my friends and I love about Daniela, its small and intimate and the staff made us feel like we were regulars in the past. Friday night towards the end of our time there the only feeling I had was that I was not welcome. after our dinner plates were cleared we still had our cocktails to finish and as stated above we planned on ordering two desserts to share. When our drinks were empty we waited for the bartenders to make their rounds. Well they made their rounds to the left (clearing these guests plates and glasses and wiping down the bar for them), to the right (again clearing their glasses and taking a food order) and then even to the people standing BEHIND us at the bar. I don't like waving down bartenders/servers especially when they are visibly busy and having been in the industry myself I know when you see an empty glass it's an opportunity to offer the guest something else, it is after all a business. So we patiently waited...and waited...and waited. For almost 24 minutes we sat at the bar with empty glasses in front of us and two dirty napkins that hadn't been cleared from dinner while the bartenders took care of the guests around us... there were a total of 12 people sitting at the bar. Now I am fully aware that the bartenders are most likely also making drinks for the rest of the restaurant but to be passed by multiple times while the people around us were taken care of felt weird. At this point we no longer wanted another cocktail or the desserts we ordered we wanted to pay our check and leave. I pulled my credit card out and after ten minutes I finally had to ask for our check. I said excuse me and asked for our check, the bartender snapped and said well did you have a tab started? I told them no one ever took my credit card and there had been more than one person that took a drink/food order from us and i didn't know. The bartender again snaps and says well who took care of you, I explained that three different people (that person included) had served us and I didn't know who would've started the tab. They shook their head and walked away. I couldn't believe it. We spent over $200 and were planning on spending more and I felt like I was being scolded because I didn't know who created our check. When we left, I handed the book with the receipts back to the bartender, not a thank you or even a smile. I was so disappointed when I left. I just could not believe the poor service we received at the end of the night. Had they wanted us to leave because we were sitting at the bar too long or something else, I wish they would've just asked instead of making me feel like I just wasn't welcome there. I'm going to be taking a break from going here and I don't think I will recommend them moving forward. Which is really, really sad because the food is excellent.

Tiramisu was light fluffy and so delicious. It was like no other tiramisu I've ever had.

The food was AMAZING! The service was very very good. Our waitperson was very attentive even when we sat outside.

Daniela is always a great date night option! We've been here several times and never disappointed. Tonight I got the field green and pear salad which is a great starter and a large portion. I had one of their mocktails to drink which was very refreshing. My fiancé and I split loved the margherita pizza, very fresh. He really enjoyed the Pomodoro e Crema with chicken added. Our server was so friendly and checked on us plenty of times. We will keep coming back!

Do they have gluten free pasta/pizza dough?

I think they might have gluten free pasta. Their pizza is not gluten free, however, it does have a lower gluten content because of a mix of flours they use, not just what flour.

The Margherita focaccia was by far the worst of the night, soggy and flavorless, the focaccia was nothing like a normal one. The tuna had a nice presentation though it was quite mediocre, the rice was hard in some parts and seemed quite old, the tuna itself was fine but the dish as a whole was maybe on par with sushi you'd get at a wegmans. As my entrée I got the carrot papardella, everything seemed overcooked, hardly any lobster and what little was happened to be tough and rather flavorless, of course it was the same with the shrimp and crab. The pasta was overcooked and stuck to itself and the sauce was quite sweet and far too hot, twenty minutes into the meal and it was still steaming, continuing to turn the dish into mush. The meal was for three people and came out to be $240 after tax and tip, the service was nice but considering the praise this restaurant got I'm sure it's went downhill. The horseradish cheese was shredded, which was very strange to have on a steak. I could have done with a creamier cheese, Gorgonzola, or just none at all. Potatoes were good, a chunky mash. Asparagus was cooked good, al dente and seasoned well. Special: 1/2 Rack Australian Lamb 9/10 Cooked perfect, probably one of the top three best in the Buffalo area. **Catered Event: Board of Directors' Dinner**…read more Numerous locals recommended Bacchus Wine Bar & Restaurant as an excellent choice for formal occasions, and it proved to be a wonderful venue for our Board of Directors' dinner. I hosted a dinner for twenty (board members and their guests) and was especially impressed by the catering manager, who patiently guided me through the many decisions involved in planning the event and personally welcomed me on the evening of the dinner. The waitstaff were attentive and seemed to anticipate our needs, and the private dining room was both relaxing and quiet. We chose the "King's Table," which allowed all twenty guests to sit together around one large table. The room and table settings were beautiful, creating an elegant yet comfortable atmosphere. The event menu allowed me to select three salads, three entrées, and two desserts for our guests. Printed menus were placed at every setting, offering a gracious welcome and making the ordering process easy and efficient. I heard from many guests that their meals were excellent. I especially enjoyed the beet salad with goat cheese and the crème brûlée cheesecake. My filet mignon, unfortunately, was tougher than I had expected. The pecan-crusted salmon looked marvelous, and I found myself wishing I had chosen it instead. The pricing was also extremely reasonable for the quality of the setting, service, and overall experience. Each dinner was $85 and included a salad, entrée, and dessert. Bacchus provided a beautiful and memorable evening for our board, and I would gladly recommend it for a private dinner or formal gathering.

We were in town attending a large national conference for families affected by their condition, and many conference attendees were also staying at the hotel. When we arrived, the restaurant appeared to be about 80% empty. Our children mentioned to the waitress that they were hungry and tired, and the first response we received was, "Do you have a reservation?" She explained that they couldn't seat us because they were expecting a large party. Instead of being seated at a regular table, we were directed to the bar area, where the bartender kindly took care of us despite the fact that our group included two minors. We stayed for over an hour, and during that time, the large party never arrived. Meanwhile, we watched other guests without reservations get seated at tables without any apparent issue. The experience left us feeling singled out and, ultimately, discriminated against. Whether that was the intention or not, it reflected a disappointing lack of empathy and inclusion--especially considering that so many families with children with disabilities were staying at the hotel for the conference. I'm giving Bella Ciao three stars because the food was decent, the portions were generous, and the bartender provided good service. Unfortunately, the way we were treated upon arrival overshadowed what could have been an enjoyable dining experience.

We ordered several special seasonal vegetable dishes: tomatoes with ricotta, beautiful beets, wild mushrooms. All very delicious. Because of all of the delicious vegetables I opted to order a pizza assuming I'd take most of it home which I did. My husband couldn't resist the short rib and let me devour more of the veg to save room for it. I'm pretty sure he still took some home and had it for breakfast the next morning. The drinks were very nice and artfully presented. Judging from how slammed the bar area was they must always do a great job with cocktails here. Will come again. Highly suggest you try any local seasonal vegetable dishes as they will be stunning fresh and delicious. The wood fired pizza was also very good and is a very reasonably priced option to share for dinner paired with a small dish. Another very good restaurant to keep in rotation.
