I am obsessed the Linh's pho. I get the pork pho every time and it is always amazing. I order it to-go often because I crave it all the time. I've tried other things with friends order something else. Everything has been great. The service is ok. They aren't overly enthusiastic people, but that's not the end of the world to me. Dear Linh's, Please clean your bathroom! the whole place could use a deep cleaning but the bathrooms are really overdue for a cleaning. Also, there is one server there in-particular who consistently provides very unfriendly service. The other three or four servers are all nice and efficient but that one young lady makes you feel like you ruined her day by sitting at her table. I went to Linh's for lunch the other day, and while our group of 4 took over 30 min to be sat, the food more than made up for the wait! This was my first time eating at Linh's and I was with 3 guys that eat there regularly, so I followed their lead and ordered the #18, very spicy, with meatballs. Boy was I surprised! The portion was huge, the broth had a TON of flavor and I really liked the plate of bean sprouts, cilantro, and jalapeno peppers they brought out. As a long time Lihn's customer I will make it simple for you. The food is fantastic and consistent, the potions are amble and flavorful. This was our first visit to Lihn's on a recommendation from a friend who said the food was not only very good, but authentic. We both ordered the chicken Pho and loved it. Flavorful broth with a good amount of delicious chicken and rice noodles. The only reason I didn't give it 5 Stars was because the service was just ok. This has been our favorite Vietnamese restaurant since WSU days. We have been coming here since last 7 years. We don't mind making 45 minute drive from where we live once in a while to eat at this restaurant because of the quality of the food. Tonight, we reached the restaurant 30 minutes prior to closing. Initially we planned on dining in at the restaurant but we were refused dining due to short staff and staff's request to close down restaurant on time so they can go home on time. The server notified us at the door they would be taking only to go orders. So after quickly glancing the menu we reached the counter to order take out. At the counter roughly 3 minutes later, we were told by cashier that they have stopped taking all orders. There are still 20 minutes left until closing time yet we were refused to go service. It was waste of our time driving 45 minutes to this place. We will not be coming back for this rude service! read more

Linhs is definitely a great restaurant. However, they are not consistent. You can order something two days in a row and it can have different flavors. Wait staff has almost always been polite and accommodating. We have always enjoyed getting to go from Linh's but on occasion are missing items. The food is relatively quick. Huge menu. read more

You guys, not only is the food wonderful, the best around, real soul Asian food, but I think the wait staff are very friendly and attentive. Of course we have gone there for years, and we usually get our own hot sauce and hoisin, just because we feel so at home there. Banh xao is our favorite, with shrimp and pork in it. It's like an egg crepe, but with no egg. Put nuoc mam on it and it's amazing. The soft rolls are a must. The chicken pho is wonderful, with all the basil and cilantro. read more

I used to eat a Linh's fairly regularly as it is a popular lunch place for the base area. The food was standard Americanized-Chinese lunchfare (I'd only ever tried Chinese portion of the menu). Their lunch specials are delicious for the price and include soup and crispy wontons as well as your entree. However, the waitstaff at Linh's have always been a little cold. One time it escalated to the point that I probably won't be returning for a long time. The last time I dined at Linh's I was meeting a group of friends on our lunch break. We arrived promptly at restaurant opening (1100) and were seated. A friend brought another friend without totalling the final headcount, so we had to ask to move to a bigger table. No big deal because the restaurant was still empty except for us, right? Wrong! We were moved to the back corner at one of the bigger tables and the restaurant started to fill up soon afterwards. We waited and waited to place our order while it seemed that everyone else was getting served first. Finally after being seated for 40 minutes, a member of our group got up and asked the hostess at the front desk to take our order as we were on our lunch break. We ended up having to take our food To-go in order to make it back to work on time. The moral of the story is, either turn your friend's friend away at the door or go somewhere else! I don't think our mix-up was so out of the ordinary to have been ignored like we were. Especially with the end result of taking our meals to-go to make it back to work in time. The food taste all right,however the portion size compare to other restaurant is too small. My husband and I cant eat a lot and usually we will have a lot left overs when we dine outside, but we feel we don't have enough to eat here at Linh. I dream of their pho some nights. Fresh cilantro, sprouts, jalapenos. WIth or without a good helping of Sriracha... MMMM. Portions are huge, including their soups and prices are great. The Vietnamese fried spring rolls are great as well. Downside is at times in the winter their heat is not sufficient and I end up eating with my coat on, which seems rather strange given the building they're in is brand new. But they always have free hot tea, so I guess that helps. read more

The food is pretty okay. But why I'm writing a review today is because of the service. I used to be a waiter. I get it. Places get busy, and when that happens you communicate with your table. But today, at around 2pm I went with my boyfriend and grandma. It took a good few minutes for the waiter to get to us and I gave him the benefit of the doubt. But after we ordered our food, our waiter NEVER came back to the table. Not to ask us how our meal was, if we needed anything else, etc. Someone else brought out food, someone else poured our waters. Our waiter was dressed in street clothes with a sweaty looking backwards ball cap and sunglasses. Totally unprofessional. And our check was dropped off within 10 minutes of us getting our food. I felt rushed and not wanted. Then we sat, and sat, and sat. I wanted a container for my food. We sat for about 25 minutes before we realized him and two girls were sitting at the table directly behind us chatting. I guess he had time to sit down and talk with his friends but no time to ask how my meal was? In the end, my grandma is way too nice and tipped him. I NEVER leaver without tipping, but today that guy didn't deserve it. He was at our table for all of 30 seconds. After he brought me my container, he didn't even say anything. Just dropped it next to me and went and sat down to talk. We are not coming back. We used to go every now and then for take out but the crappy service paired with the okay food just isn't worth it. Go to Little Saigon on woodman. Waaaaaaay better. And they care about how you're doing. read more

To start off the is not a traditional style place. The place has been Americanized to fit today's standards. I had the pho, a traditional Vietnamese soup. It's was ok but kinda bland. I'm not sure of a place you can get more vegetarian and vegan options than here. This is why I was completely ecstatic checking out the menu. They have food options that you can't get anywhere else for hours. Vegetarian hotpot anybody? I was craving some and it was great. It wasn't amazing but I can't be too picky as a vegetarian. My mother wasn't to excited about it but she's not a fan of Vietnamese food. Cons: The restaurant is roomy but the chairs and tables are not comfortable with booths or the like so now lounging about and enjoying food and company. The waitresses did behave as if they rather you not be there and that any call for their attention was impeding their activities. Good pho and noodle soups. Not the best I have ever had, but best I have found in Dayton. I got the duck noodle soup. Great depth of flavor, but nearly NO DUCK! Very disappointed in the lack of meat. I will give them another try. Update: I have tried them a few more times. Typically there is not much meat in the pho, regardless of which you try. Also, the noodles tend to go soft before you are done the bowl. I don't like this place as much as I initially did. It is good, but not GREAT. You should check them out, though. They food is good and you will have a perfectly fine and tasty meal for a good price. It's a nice rainy day kind of place to visit now and then. read more

Fresh Vietnamese and Chinese food- good for vegans, vegetarians and everyone else. Great pho dishes

The food here is so lackluster and bland I'm sure it was disappointed in itself. The menu is out of date and they dont carry many of the items on it. They were also out of coffee and most of their drink menu is obsolete. Their peanut "sauce" is more like a soup and has no flavor. I got chicken vermicelli and it was all noodles, very little vegetables, and zero flavor. Their vegetarian spring rolls are good but no good peanut sauce to dip them in. We were treating our friend here for her birthday and none of us had eaten here before. She ordered a shrimp pho that was barely described on the menu and contained things she was allergic too. It had to be remade. The pho was nearly all broth with nothing else and she said it was bland. The only thing that tasted good was my wife's tofu dish. This was a sad depressing state of affairs of a restaurant to come to for a birthday dinner. My wife said the bathroom was dirty and snapped a pic of jalapeños on the floor of it. That might explain why this food tastes like crap. read more

Done with this place after 8 years. I've been coming to Linh's since 2011 because they had the best noodle soup, fast and efficient service, and great prices. While they've remained fairly efficient and inexpensive, the food quality isn't what it used to be, and the service is absolutely awful. What's really tipped me over the edge was this last visit where upon entering the greeter simply said "how many?" (with an annoyed look on her face), sat us at a partially set table, and gave us lukewarm tea. But the worst part by far was the food; all of the broccoli in my soup was partially rotting and I found a hair in it. At no point did the server come back to check on us, ask how everything was, etc., she didn't even bring the bill. When I paid, the woman behind the counter didn't ask how everything was, she just took my money. I can deal with mistakes like a hair accidentally falling in the food, these things happen, but what I really can't/won't tolerate or pay for anymore is crap, unfriendly, unhelpful service. read more

Sadly disappointed and bordering on outrage. The first red flag should have been when we were hung up on while calling to place a "to-go" order. And when I say hung up on, I mean they literally picked up the phone and placed it back on the receiver. We had to go to the restaurant to place our order, which took more than 20 minutes of standing behind a couple who were socializing with the cashier. Then we ordered 2 vegan entrees and 2 vegetarian spring rolls. However, when we got home and bit into the vegetarian spring rolls, turns out they were shredded pork egg rolls. Not merely an affront to my non-meat-eating self, but the fact that I am Jewish and have never had pork in my 40 years of existence has sealed the deal that I will never ever eat at this establishment again. I've been coming to Linh's even before they moved locations to the now bigger and spacious area in this current shopping plaza. Lines were long in the smaller restaurant and that hasn't changed because they have some really great Pho! Be prepared to take some soup home, their fresh rolls are delicious with awesome dipping sauces, but beware the wait gets long if you get there by 1130-Noon. I normally plan to get there when they open so I can get my food and be back to work within an hour. They have a Chinese menu for those not interested in Pho and they give free & delicious hot tea while you wait. Be patient if you get there on their busy hours and they are packed full, and depending on if you get the group of grumpy servers (sometimes a group of them just never smile and I got ALL of them once, it was the perfect storm of RBF) I just remembered I'm there for the food not the service. They are pretty fast though even on their busy times, and for those times I just ask the neighboring table if I can use their hoisin sauce & spicy sauces. Seriously, try this place. There is a wait for a reason and especially in the winter months when its freezing, a big bowl of delicious Pho is just what you might be looking for! read more

Very bad service! Beware! The first time when I went there with my husband, it was okay but the staff was not so friendly. The second time I went there aloneand I ordered a bowl of noodle soup, but what I received was a bowl of broth and a bit of leftover noodles!! I thought I would never return. However, two days ago my aunt, who had never been there wanted to try Linh's so we went in... Essentially we experienced more of the same! Numerous times others were seated ahead of us and when we were finally seated, our order was not taken. We left in disgust and ate instead at the China Buffet at the Airway Shopping Center. For truly authentic Vietnamese food with great service, go to LIttle Saigon restaurant in Riverside or Pho Mi restaurant near the Dayton Mall. If it were possible, I'd give Linh's less than one star! It's only good because there's nothing else (Asian) around town, and good is over-rated here. Rice was really dried, pho was nothing special... if you want real pho, drive a little farther and find better pho. Service was horrible! They literally threw the bowl of pho on the table without any excuse. Let's just say, it deserves 0-star, but yelp won't let me put 0-star. The fat waitresses were rude, rude, rude! There's no excuse to treat your customers that way. I was at this place 4 years ago, and it was good, but now it's gone from okay good to hell hole because of its lack of service and unfriendly atmosphere. If you read the reviews over the years, the quality went from 4-5 stars to 1-star. Tells you something doesn't it? I really don't understand why people think this place is good. I only went there yesterday because I was starving and wanted a nice warm pho, but I wish I had a burger at McDonald's instead. read more
