We had water coming up around the basement cove joints which indicated our groundwater was building up. Turns out our sump pump failed! I contacted the company over the weekend and spoke to Aldo who told me what kind of sump we would need. We ran through the options and he told me either I could buy the pump at Lowe's or Home Depot or he could get it from a supplier. He quoted me a price for the install over the phone and a ballpark quote for the new pump, which helped me manage expectations. Aldo is easy to work with, and he really takes the time to explain what's going on before starting the repair. Plus his product knowledge and understanding the situation was superior, as we often have issues communicating about home issues. Without even a contract signed or a prior on-site estimate, NOVA plumbing picked up the replacement product on Monday morning, and José came to our house and installed the new Zoeller 508 Pump. That is a very high trust situation and NOVA handled this issue with ease. This new pump has a backup battery to help when the power goes out to keep everything running, has an exterior testing button, and even a green light on the electric cable so you can tell if it is running. It's also super quiet. José also did an excellent job trimming and cutting down the discharge valve with a frost proof release so that the sump will push water away from the house and into our french drain. To ensure that everything would continue to work properly, and as a failsafe, we also had them snake and clear out the basement drain line. It's challenging to find a contractor who's both knowledgeable and dependable, with reasonable pricing who can communicate with the nuance needed. That said, NOVA Plumbing has earned my trust. If you're looking for honest, professional service and quality work, I highly recommend Aldo and the NOVA Plumbing team.
