Ordered a new GE Profile PDT845SSJ0SS stainless steel dishwasher through the GE Store..got a call on March 28th, 2017 to advise the new dishwasher was scheduled to be delivered on the morning of March 29th, 2017 at 7:00 AM in the morning..Mauricio and Wilbur arrived at the scheduled time and wasted no time in unpacking..doing some hookups on the street and then bringing in the new dishwasher for installation after already removing my now dead Frigidaire washer upon arrival. The dishwasher was hooked up to my water line, garbage disposal, water overflow and electricity...then, Mauricio leveled the washer and secured it's forward installed movement with undercounter brackets..we turned it on to test for any electrical problems or water leaks..no problems were detected and they left after a job well done..were at my house about 30 minutes and also removed the old dishwasher and took it away for disposal! what else could you ask for?...have now run at least 8-10 loads..washer is whisper quiet at 42db and does a beautiful job of cleaning and drying all the dishes, glassware, and utensils that I've loaded to capacity..couldn't be more happy with Linn Star's delivery and install and the selected dishwasher.... read more

This business needs to make there delivery people wear booties before they go into houses with nice clean floors. They damaged my appliance and took our packet of samples. And we gave them water bottles because it was so hot that day... :-( read more

They deliver a gas dryer from home Depot on Jan 12,16 and it doesn't work no heat. On Jan 15, they come back attempting to fix it leaving and stripping the gas vaules This is sad , inconvenience to my whole family. Now can't even use the dryer. read more

In the past month I had two deliveries from Linn Star Transfer. Both times I had Moises and Juan! The rating says it all! Fantastic-they were courteous, professional, and efficient. I received the call the night before with the window of delivery and then the 30 minute call! Major applianced delivery and washer and dryer upstairs-they did an amazing job and no damage. Downstairs large refrigerator on hardwood-again great job! Even went over the basic operation of each appliance.This is a good team and they deserve the 5 stars read more

Looks like I'm not the only one! The guys that deliver at ok guys. The problem is that the overall company out of the center office Cedar Rapid, Iowa are your typical cheap-o operation. The work with Home Depot and commit themselves to way to many deliveries in one day. So, in one day the may 'service' up to 30 clients, to make a buck. The problem is that you the consumer gets screwed. I took 3 different days off from work to await my delivery and hook up. Three days and no service. They have so many deliveries and so few workers that they call the wrong #, they tell you a service date and time and then say that was not the date originally given. They don't tell you a delivery window and then give you a call with a 15 minute deadline. I think the worst part was that when I complained, the customer service manager did nothing to make the situation better. In fact, he made it worse by personalizing it and putting words into my mouth. Home Depot can be a bit of a nightmare, it's the cost for cheaper items, but they really should end their relationship with Linn Star Transfer. I want my $ back! Should have just called an independent plumber/installer in the first place. NEVER. AGAIN. read more

Do not use appliance delivery from Home Depot because they use Linn Star transportation. These guys broke the door on my brand new refrigerator and then left it broken hoping I wouldn't notice. When I called them to tell them that the refrigerator door was broken they told me that I should just fix it myself. When I told them I can't fix it myself they told me they can schedule a service call to have someone come out within a few days. Meanwhile, all of my freezer food is melting on my kitchen floor. I called the regional office and the corporate office and the best response I could get was " all of our installers are independent contractors so we don't have any control over their schedules. I'm sure you can find a way to take off work again tomorrow to meet our installer sometime between 7 AM and 11:30 AM so he can fix it." Looks like that free delivery ended up costing me hundreds of dollars in spoiled food. read more

Worst experience. I had a very rude delivery man, he was late and his level of professionalism was in the negative numbers. He clearly had no idea what he was doing. Not only did he cut the water line without turning off the water, he also broke my water valve. Now I am out $950 dollars. They denied the claim due to a he said, she said situation. Don't mind the fact that my house was fine before he touched it and it left a family of four without water for 3 days. SO NOT SHOCKED ABOUT THE LOW RATINGS. DO NOT USE LINN STAR. read more

Disaster!!! I seldom write reviews but this was such a disaster that I feel compelled to warn other potential customers. I bought a fridge from Home Depot and these people -- Brandon was the main person -- were supposed to deliver it. They first seemed uncertain how to get the fridge in the doorways -- told me the doors were too small, though they are the standard size -- then broke the water valve on the turn-off valve so left, leaving me with a plumbing bill, and refused to come later that afternoon to install the fridge. I spoke with the owner or manager, who refused to pay even half of the plumbing repair, and said they would have to schedule for another day, even though I told him I would be out of town for a bit. He just ignored me, said basically it was my problem, not theirs. Incredibly rude and left me with no fridge and a plumbing bill. Will definitely alert Home Depot not to work with them in future. Home Depot has always been a good company, but I recently ordered a new washing machine. It was to be delivered to my house. The website indicated that most likely shipping would be between 3pm and 7pm, which was great. I further put notes in the system that afternoon delivery is required. I received a voicemail the day before from their deliver company, Linn Star Transfer. The voicemail said the washer would be delivered at 2 the next day. The next day I receive a call at 9:30am from the delivery company and said they would arrive in 30 minutes. I informed them that would not work and they need to stick with the delivery time of 2. They said no. I called again and tried to help them understand the situation and that they needed to deliver when they said. The person told me that they were having issues with the voicemails being cut off and the delivery time was not 2, but 10 - 2. She acknowledged that the voicemail said 2, but it didn't matter to her. She refused to deliver the washer that day and said it would be another week. I then told her I would have to cancel the order with Home Depot and go to Lowe's. She said that's fine. So, Home Depot is a great company, but they use Linn Star Transfer to deliver product. Linn Star Transfer is terrible with customer service. I will likely stop shopping at Home Depot for anything that requires delivery. Be careful if you order something requiring delivery. read more

Bought a microwave from Home Depot...heard Linn Star would be installing it. Delivery guys on time, put microwave to rest on top of cardboard box which gave way and gashes my kitchen floor in 3 places. After that the delivery team asked us if we still wanted them to install the microwave. REALLY? It's fallen and we don't know if it works. Second microwave delivery was hung with a gap between my cabinet and the microwave. Didn't receive a call about time they would return to adjust it- luckily it was the first day of school as my husband was trying to get kids on the bus. The installer argued it was level and nothing was wrong. My husband pulled out the level and got the nice man a chair to stand on so he could see his work. That was August 2018. Meanwhile, we attempted to file a claim for our floors. Shaun in the Eden Prairie, MN office was kind of enough one day to tell me that I would have to locate and contact the delivery team that dropped the microwave on the floor the first time to get their insurance info. At that point I called Home Depot and spoke to the manager. Needless to say less than 24 hours later we had a claim number. Currently working through settlement. Of course they don't want to do what's right. Good luck ordering appliances from Home Depot if this is who comes to your house. Just remember the words preloss condition is they way you want your house returned to. read more

If there is any way to avoid this company, please do. My dryer showed up just fine. I patiently waited 3 hours for the plumber to show up to install it and they never showed. I spent nearly an hour on hold just to be told that the company or the plumber would call me back. 2 hours later, no one called. I called back again, this time being told that the plumber did show up but no one was home, which is untrue because I have been home all day. Now they are telling me that I can either wait two weeks for a plumber to come, or until next week, which is totally inconvenient. They wouldn't bother to make it right and come out the same day. The communication was terrible from start to finish and after spending a lot of money on a dryer and an installation, I don't even know when I will be able to use it. Home Depot needs to drop this vendor. read more

Had a great experience with these folks. They called throughout the process to advise us of delivery date and arrival time. When they were going to be a little late they contacted us right away to let us know. When they arrived they were courteous and very capable. Linn Star is the worse, they set a dishwasher in cardboard box with staples on a finished wood floor in the kitchen. Had me sign papers that the dishwasher was not dented.They scratched the floor when they rotated the box to cut the sides. They say I did it when I took the dishwasher off the box bottom, why didn't they move it off the box bottom instead of leaving it for the homeowner? But dishwashers have wheels on the back legs and the box bottom never moved. Home Depot should find a better moving company or they are going to loose customers. read more

This is the third delivery & install from Linn Star. The first two were great, washer & dryer installed no problems, but that is probably because it was pretty much an open space. This time they came and installed a dishwasher, but when they were taking out the old dishwasher they cracked my counter. The Sr. General Manager from Benicia came out to look at it and he wanted to glue, when I told him no that I thought he needed to replace the counter, he said they would offer me $200, that won't even cover the labor on having this done. I bought a Samsung Dishwasher from JC Penney and had it delivered and to be installed. That is how I was introduced to Linn Star Transfer. Following the installation the Linn Star installer told me I had no power to my dishwasher. I told him that was impossible as I had just run my old dishwasher last night. He insisted I had no power and and that I needed to call an electrician then proceeded to leave. He/they were out the door and gone. I called an electrician who came by the following day only to discover what I thought, "I had power all along". That visit from the electrician cost me $65 to tell me what I already knew. Now the Linn Star installer left me with a host of numbers to call if I had problems; JC Penney, SamSung, and Linn Star Transfer. If you like be left on hold for a long time, with very poor music in your ear and the message, "your call in important to us" you would be just fine. Talk about a cluster f---, well you get the message. Finally, finally JC Penney stepped up to the plate and I'm waiting for a new dishwasher. My only concern is they will send the same company, Linn Star to install. Suggestion: There should be one contact number regardless of the problem and that number should be willing and able to "bird-dog" the problem to it's solution. And people loose the bad music and awful message, "Your call is important to us", because apparently it is not! read more

By far the worst experience I have had with any appliance delivery. The two gentlemen walked in and immediately said they cannot install my refrigerator. They also halfway installed the filter and other components on the fridge, opened the refrigerator line kit and took the instruction manual. Customer Service is a waste of your time don't bother. O stars for Linn Star Transfer!!! Beware !!! I bought a new refrigerator from Home Depot in Livermore, delivery on Feb 2, 2017. When the workman arrived they were to remove existing refrigerator in my kitchen and place in my garage, the existing was just a few yrs old but couldn't use the freezer due the inability to open the freezer all the way. Linn Star said no problems, they removed my handles on the existing refrigerator and carried this side by side down my hallway to the garage. Not sure why a dolly wasn't used. In the garage I had another refrigerator that had to be moved out a bit and the other kitchen one in its place. Seemed to be no problem. Upon leaving the comment was made that they connected the two refrigerators in the garage pushed up against each other so my food wouldn't defrost, until I switched them out. When I pulled the refrigerator apart there were 3 huge scratches across the freezer and refrigerator: 7", 5", and 71/2" long, they also used black epoxy paint thinking I wouldn't notice. I sent these pictures to Chris Weible Operations Manager in Benicia, CA and he sent a letter 3/09/17 that they found no liability on their part and I should file a claim with my homeowners insurance. No wonder your rating are so low!! You don't take responsibility for the damage you cause. Never again. This complaint will also go to Home Depot Corporate Office as well. read more

For those who don't know, Home Depot contracts this company to deliver your appliances. I waited a week for delivery, fine......Upon delivery of my dishwasher it was discovered I had a bad shut off....water went everywhere. I called a plumber who came to my house in 30 minutes flat. I called Linn Star and spoke to two rude people, Alan in customer service and John Stivers, manager. Both were unwilling to have the driver to make a couple of deliveries in the same city and return to my home. John, not knowing he was on speaker, talked about me as a customer saying things like 'no we are not waiting, she will have to wait at least a week for another deliver'....'let me talk to her, seems like she might flip out'...really!? I told John I could hear him, I wasn't flipping out, and told him what a horrible job he did at trying to please the customer. Bottom line, they have LOTS of deliveries from paying consumers, just like me. They don't care. You can't really complain to Home Depot because it's third part (I'm going to try anyway). If you want GREAT SERVICE, go to Lowes who does NOT contract out deliveries. Lowes deliver's themselves. BTW, the delivery guy came back ON HIS OWN after my plumber left and installed my dishwasher. I wish I could give them zero stars. They really don't care about the customer, give inaccurate information about delivery times, and can't work with your schedule. They ask you to take a full day off, then give you a 4 hour window the night before your day off. In my case, this window was 3-7pm. I had something important scheduled for 7pm, so I called immediately to ask if I could be in the early part of that window. The woman who helped me explained that the delivery/installation person was usually on time and would most likely be at my house by 4, so I didn't reschedule to another day. When I called at 3 to check on this, I was given vague but hopeful information. When I called at 4 to check on this, I was told that it would be another couple hours. When I tried to calmly explain my situation (for the 3rd time), there was absolutely no attempt to serve me, the customer. It was "this is just the way it is". So now it's 5:30pm and I haven't heard from them (they are supposed to call when they are 1/2 hour away) and it looks like I'll be late for the 7pm dinner that my almost 90 year old mother in law planned with 11 family members for my 33rd wedding anniversary. I see many poor reviews for this company here - I hope the owner/manager reads these. I also plan to complain to Home Depot. read more

Home Depot in Crystal lake, IL. uses this horrible delivery service, had I known this and read the poor Yelp reviews, I could have bought my fridge elsewhere. Linn star never showed up on 3/3/2018 after stringing me along until 9:45pm, then the next time they delivered a dented fridge on 3/10, when they came out the second time on 3/24, really my third time waiting for them they missed their 3-7pm window again telling me they were running on time. They finally showed up at 8:30pm, the delivery guy dropped his pliers on my hardwood floor, got grease on my white front door, leaked a puddle of oil on my driveway from the lift on the truck and then drove over my lawn leaving ruts. This company sucks, never offered to clean oil off driveway when I called to complain. They deserve zero stars and I would encourage consumers to see who is delivering the appliance before purchasing and spending your good money. Home Depot apologized for them and did give some compensation so I want to say they were helpful throughout this bad experience. read more

I am giving this company a 1 star rating based on the first delivery they made to my house which was a Samsung Microwave. The crew was polite enough and they finished extremely fast. The one guy even put a cup of water in my microwave and ran it to show me it worked. After they left I went downstairs to heat up my lunch and noticed that the door would swing open all the way by itself. I didn't think much of it at first and chalked it up to the fact that I have a older house and thought the wall wasn't perfectly straight. A few days later I went to put some food in the cupboard above the microwave and decided I would use the opportunity to vacuum out the dust and wood particles from the install. When I climbed up and looked inside I noticed that there was no top bolt on the left side of the microwave. Upon further inspection I discovered that the installer had actually drilled THROUGH THE INSIDE of my brand new kitchen cabinet and into the metal side of the microwave with several wood screws. So, both my kitchen cabinet and the microwave were damaged. I called Linn Star and let them know. They told me that the crew would be coming to deliver my refrigerator and they would check the microwave at that time. I have to say that the crew lead for the refrigerator delivery was very good and he removed the microwave to inspect it and review the installation. He discovered that the back mounting plate was only attached by two screws. Neither of which were drilled into a supporting wall stud. They were already starting to pull out of the drywall and the crew lead said that at some point the microwave would have fallen off and done some major damage to my stove and possibly the kitchen cabinets (or worse yet could have injured me or my wife). This also explained why the door would swing wide open by itself. He reinstalled the microwave the right way and had me inspect. He asked me who from Linn Star had installed the microwave the first time and when I told him the name of that person he just rolled his eyes. I must say that he and his crew did a good job of setting up my refrigerator. I actually opened a claim with Linn Star since they had ruined my kitchen cabinet ($300 to replace it). I also wanted to get a new Samsung microwave since there were two holes drilled into the side of it. They never responded to my claim. So, all I can say is use this company at your own risk. I had one bad experience and one good one. Based on the other reviews I have seen it appears that the bad happens a lot more than the good. read more

This is the worst delivery experience I have ever experienced and will never order from Home Depot on-line again since they contract this company for delivery of appliances). I was given a delivery time frame from 3pm - 7pm today. I received a call 30 minutes before the delivery and was at home waiting for them to arrive. At 5:13pm, I receive another call from them telling me that they are at my house and no one is home. I was at home and immediately called them back to tell them the delivery team was obviously at the wrong house. They said that the delivery team had to wait at the home for 15 minutes before leaving. The description the dispatcher gave me of the home they were at was that of my neighbors. I told the dispatcher that not only did they go to the incorrect address, but they also were no longer at the neighbor's house. It was 5:15pm and according to their message, the delivery team should have still been waiting there. The dispatcher put me on-hold several times to try and contact the deliver team. Each time she came back on the phone, she told me that they would not answer their phone. Basically, the delivery team went to the wrong home and then immediately left without waiting around. They would not answer the phone because they obviously did not want to turn around after leaving. So, after waiting around all day for the delivery, they are now telling me I need to reschedule. My next phone call was to Home Depot to cancel the purchase. read more
