Shows the phony substituted door was fabricated by ABS, not PlastPro.

A partial response to Mr. Jaco's response is as follows: One of many examples of the deceptive (IMO fraudulent) acts perpetrated by Conradie is that none of the 5 exterior full light doors where of the PlastPro Nova 90 series specified and agreed to, which is a full fiberglass constructed with flush inline glazed glass patio style exterior door. Instead, after 6 full months of delay post signing, Conradie delivered 4 of the 5 inordinately long anticipated doors that turned out to instead be Therma-Tru brand doors with framed glass panel screw-in inserts, which are are of far lower cost and far less atheistic design. Despite being informed of the unacceptability of those 4-doors, Conradie refused to replace them with the correct agreed on PlastPro Nova 90 series doors. Next, after another totally unbelievable 5-months of delay (i.e. 11-months after agreement signed), a totally imposter door was delivered that Conradie claimed to be the 5th and remaining exterior full light, mini-blind, flush inline glazed glass, fiberglass door. Instead, the actual door delivered was a hack-together of a PlastPro solid commodity door slab that was manually center cut-out and cobbled together with an inferior 3rd party branded framed glass mini-blind screw-in insert at an American Building Supply Co. warehouse or shop facility, and extremely poorly done at that. Further infuriating, it was delivered to the job filthy dirty/stained, in severely damaged and broken condition, and totally bare of any typical and required industry standard factory protective and sealed palette mounted and outer solid framed packaging. See the 2nd and 3rd attached photos. Zooming the 2nd photo will show all of the frame damages. All in all, this event amounted to a totally nasty, dishonest, attempted cost cutting imposter caper. The 4th and 5th photos show the PlastPro Nova 90 series door that was specified, agreed to, and never delivered. Also, in some instances Conradie held my 50% funds deposit for months and in one case approx. 8-months before ordering some of the window and door units specified and agreed to in Conradie's sales contract. In that case, the product (a very large dinette sliding window) was not delivered until 11-months post signing of the agreement. Furthermore, it was defectively installed too tight and crooked that it still to this day rubs and bangs when operated (opening & closing) as well as not being fully close-able such that the lever locks can be all the way engaged into the sash frame slots. To make matters worse during all installation events, Conradie's hack installer (Chuck) left several windows defectively installed such that the frames are not straight and true. Instead, several have frames bowed-out in the middle such that there exist unsealed air/light gaps between the glass sash panel frame and the units outer frame (not good in a driving rain). While others were installed bowed-in or crooked such that the glass sash panel is far to tight or crooked to operate smoothly. As a result, there is nothing further with respect to warranty action that the manufacturer (Marvin) can or will agree to do. Also, if you want to experience an installer's son (or stepson) who likes to spend anywhere from 90 minutes to over 2-hours in one of your bathrooms every morning and every afternoon after lunch apparently goofing or partaking in some sort of nefarious mind-altering substance, then Chuck's Carpentry Services is a great choice!

Our home was hit hard during the September hailstorms in Round Rock causing a major loss to not only cars and roof but the loss of windows that I had never experienced. After trying endless companies I spoke with Jaco and found instant reassurance in someone who wanted to help me fix my home and not just sell me a product but a solution. Little did I know the process would take over 7 months due to delays in the claims process but through it all Jaco was very patient and helpful in offering me options on his various products and which would match my existing and or offer options should I decide to do a full replacement. When we finally were able to move forward his attention to detail is what set him apart from all the other companies. He asked the right questions about our home and the things that were important when dealing with new windows. He made sure to help us be able to accommodate our existing blinds and how to change the look by selecting different models for different areas. His thorough thought process made it easy to do the selection and ordering. His crews were courteous and very detail oriented. While no job is perfect the one misstep was immediately corrected and a reassurance of we want you to be happy was true to the customer service we had already received. I highly recommend Jaco and Lion Windows for whatever your needs may be.

Along the way, we also discovered that we needed to have the roof replaced, and so put that in the mix for a bid as well. We contacted six different companies, each of which brought a particular set of strengths and challenges. We chose Austin Pro based on a combination of factors: personalized attention to our project, comprehensive estimate and explanation of each line item, and ability to get the project done on a timeline that worked for us. We chose to have the house re-sided with Hardie Plank, painted with Sherwin-Williams paint, and re-shingled the roof with GAF shingles. It's easy to get overwhelmed by the process of basically re-doing the entire house, especially when insurance companies come into play. To that end, everyone at Austin Pro was first rate. Before we even settled on a contractor, Paul, our project manager, walked me through the intricacies of the process, and spent probably more time than he wanted explaining how things would go, and what options we had. The bid was competitive, and the line-by-line items on the original bid made it easy to see what was going to be done, and what materials were going to be used. He was patient and courteous and flexible, and was also able to speak to us in a way that didn't make things even more confusing. Kevin was the siding project lead, and though we never met in person, I felt comfortable that he had our best interests at heart as he got the crew on site, working fast and efficiently to remove and replace the siding. He even called in the middle of the siding job to tell us that we didn't need something we thought we would, saving us money that we could then use for add-ons we didn't originally budget for. The siding install and siding paint was done beyond our initial expectations, with nice touches like window framing and utility box framing that I didn't even know we needed but now look perfect. We had the back door repainted as well as our front balcony and pillars, and the end result is fantastic. It really was done to the point where it looks like a brand new house, and not one built in the early 1990s. Paul was back on site for the roofing job, and the roofers did a great job removing and replacing the shingles and skylight with new materials, on a roof that is exceptionally steep and challenging. They had the entire project done in only two days, and it looks fantastic. Finally, Garrett came by to do the final walk-through and punch list check-off, and was a real pleasure to interact with. He fulfilled all the items on the list, at least the ones he could do on his own, and did so in a friendly, courteous, and extremely efficient manner. All in all, Austin Pro lived up to their name and to their reputation. It is possible to find a company that can do your big jobs for less, but I am not sure you could find one that could do it better. They stand by their work with a quality assurance guarantee, and while I don't intend to need it, it's great that it's there.

Despite the many 5 star reviews, we had a pretty awful experience working with JP Exteriors. It…read morestarted when we accepted a bid to replace our entire house with Andersen 100 windows. We signed the contract and put a deposit for half the entire amount. After we signed the contract and put in our half deposit, we were informed that 2 of our windows are arched and Andersen 100 doesn't make arched windows. They said we could replace our front of the house windows with Andersen 400 or Simonton. Simonton is supposedly a less expensive window than Andersen's 100 series. But, they quoted us a higher price to replace the front windows with Simonton than we were quoted for the same windows in Andersen 100. We ended up ordering Simonton Windows with grids for our entire house. We had already paid ($15,000) from our original contract and we were locked in with JP Exteriors. On window installation day, we noticed that there was one window at the front of the house missing a horizontal grid. They let us know that they could get us a "great price" to replace the window that we had already paid for with the proper grid. They also left several small projects unfinished including painting the trim around 2 windows, filling interiors holes around 3 windows, fixing an interior window sill that was damaged during window installation. Ultimately, the window that was missing a horizontal grid was replaced at no additional cost to us and the remaining unfinished items were all competed in a satisfactory manner. However the replaced window that was missing a horizontal grid has now been replaced and the vertical grids on the top window are not lined up with the vertical grids on the bottom windows (See photos below.) It looks terrible and is at the front of our house. We wanted to love JP Exteriors based on their 5 star reviews, but unfortunately, we have had a 1 star experience. Update: They have said that they will fix the window so that the grids line up. If this happens, that will be good.
