I have been here a few times now and spent quite alot since we were having family from out of town visit and this place is right near hotels. They have a pretty big menu with a variety of items and everything i have posted and eaten was very good. The bartender/server guy said it was a scratch kitchen and it seems like that with the quality. The only issue i had the few times i have been here is the lack of support staff. You can expect the bartender to do the work of 6 people and someone not get annoyed. So if they have not fixed that yet expect to have a longer wait than you would expect for service getting drinks and food ordered up. Once you do get your items like i said it is good stuff. We visited Liquid Sunshine for a trivia night. The bar side of the location, separated from the restaurant side, was a ghost town. The restaurant was quickly filled by trivia contestants. We sat at a table, to see the folks giving out questions. The booths make viewing difficult. Next time we'll try a booth, as they look more comfortable. Service started out sparse. That poor woman was already slim, and the volume of people, with just one waitress, guaranteed she'd be slimmer by end of night. They got it together and provided some help for her for serving. The staff was good, friendly and enjoyable. I expect that someone was missing that day, as it seemed unusual for the lone waitress. She was even kind enough to apologize to us and ask for patience. That was something I appreciated. The did give us everything we ordered and it was all good, both food and drinks. Not too memorable, but good. The location has immensely high ceilings with movie posters on them. A giant fan keeps the air moving. It was a good and useful appearance. One I appreciated. Parking was easy. Being attached to Alamo Drafthouse, one could find that difficult, but fortunately. The lot is huge, facing north and wrapping around the east side. Trivia was fun. While we didn't do as well as the rest of the mob, we had fun! That, diligent service, reasonable eats and drinks, and easy parking made it an event we will likely attend again. (Just as a note: I do cohost the monthly Movie Quiz in the Liquid Sunshine Taproom, but my review will be unbiased, as it's just about the food/drinks, and service!) If you're looking for a quick bite or drink with friends before/after a movie at the Alamo Drafthouse - you have to stop into the Liquid Sunshine Taproom! They have a gazillion different beers on tap, TVs with every sport imaginable, and great food/drink options too (the same menu you can get in the Alamo theaters). The ambiance is very fun and a little sports-themed, with sports movie posters all over the walls. They sometimes do "watch parties" for some big games too, with special menus and drinks themed around that. The staff is AMAZING, and very attentive every time we've been there. When they have staffed our monthly quiz event, they KILL IT with waiting on about 15+ teams in one room! Food-wise, my favorite items to get are: Baked Pretzel - This comes soft and warm and is soooo yummy. It normally comes with one queso and one mustard, but I usually swap out the mustard for another queso, because the queso is THAT good! Chips & Queso - These come with the same delicious Queso as the Baked Pretzel, but topped with cotija cheese and cilantro. And the chips arrive all warm and toasty. YUM! Vegan Cauliflower Basket - I'm not Vegan, but I love cauliflower things, so this has become one of my go-to items when I'm at a movie or in the Taproom. They are a perfect little snack and the warm breaded cauliflower melts in your mouth, with the sauce adding a little extra zest! It can be sauced with Buffalo or Gochujang (which is what I get). It usually comes with Vegan Ranch for dipping, but I get that switched out for normal ranch, just because of a consistency preference. You can get these as a basket which come with fries, or as an appetizer (called the Vegan Cauliflower Bites). Pulled Pork BBQ Bowl - This is a current offering, and I'm not sure how long it will stay around - but if you see it on the menu when you go, get it! It is a bowl of brown rice and quinoa, topped with pulled pork, chipotle bbq sauce, roasted corn, and peppers. It definitely has a kick, but is so flavorful and hearty. Pepperoni Pizza - They always have the pepperoni pizza on the menu, and while that sounds boring, it's actually really delightful. You can order any pizza "Angry" by adding jalapeño and crushed red peppers. There also was a special menu for Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Mutant Mayhem, where they added bread & butter pickles to the pepperoni pizza and it was my favorite form of the this (I know, I'm crazy). So I'd just say overall, do NOT pass up a stop into the Liquid Sunshine Taproom when you're looking to catch a game, pop in for a drink before/after an Alamo movie, or just for a scrumptious lunch, dinner, or snack! read more

This is my first time at the Alamo Theater. I purposefully arrived two hours before the movie so I can sit and relax at their taproom to enjoy some food and craft beer. Their taproom is very nice. I'm here in the beginning of the afternoon, so it's nice and quiet. Seating is great. Which I'm sitting at the bar. But it's got great seating with tables, booths and patio seating. Enough TVs (15 I think) to keep you occupied with something on. Food was good. Which I had the omnivore pizza. The size of the pizza was perfect for one person like myself. Service was great. Still being severed as I write this. Nice little selection of craft beers. This is a nice way of passing time until your movie starts. read more

Taproom is in a theater. We just went for dinner. Food was decent but not great. Bottomless buttered popcorn was tasty and they give you a box to bring into the theater. The pickle fries were great! Burgers were average and Caesar salad had some sort of spice to it making it undesirable. read more

Things were a little busy for a Tuesday night and the staff were a little overwhelmed. That didn't stop Jessica and Austin from making me feel welcome and at home. Atmosphere - A tap house/restaurant attached to a movie theater. Anything you order here can go to into the theater. It is a standard bar with sport TV action going on. I sat at the bar to have my pint. Food Drink - DAAANG! IPA, a local Indian Pale Ale from Zipline Brewing Co. This was a solid IPA. Service - Since I found this place via Untappd I was using the app for the beer listing. I found out that they only put their rotating beers on the app which only accounts for about a third of their draft beers. So management really needs to have two menus, standard drafts and their rotation draft beers listed via Untappd. I did not realize this until after the menu was taken from me when I indicated I did not want any food as I had just finished lunch. Future - Sure, there are plenty of beers to choose from. read more

My wife and I stopped here while on a long weekend in Omaha. When our uber pulled up we though this was a tiny place. When we walked through the door we were surprised to see how big the inside actually was. The bar was huge and there is a outdoor seating balcony in the summer time. We decided to sit at the bar. There was a lot of waiters and waitresses here. It was impressive to see. The bar staff was attentive and there was minimal waiting for food and beverages. There was a ton of call in orders. We had two beers apiece and we saw probably 30 call ins picking up their food. This is a really popular call in place it seems. Overall we only visited for maybe 2 hours and we only had beer and a app while watching the football game. There are tons of televisions here and it seems like this is a local hangout for sure. read more

Cool swanky little bar/restaurant with a nice front patio area and conveniently attached to Alamo Drafthouse! Came here for a quick bite and brew before seeing a movie and coincidentally caught this place during their 2017 October Fest. They were selling beers with a take home stein for $12 with $1 off refills! Great looking Stein and a pretty wide range of draft beers to hold you over. For food we got loaded fries which surprisingly came out within ~3-5 mins! Service was fast and polite, would highly recommend this place for those Alamo Drafthousers that frequent the movies pretty regularly! read more

I am so impressed with this restaurant food! The Turkey Club was fantastic, fresh and eaten in one sitting. I tried the Summer Sunset cocktail, another great pic! Fun fact, you can order pop corn to your table :) That said, the overall service was sub par. My medium sized group of girlfriends over whelmed our server and we were waiting over 15 minutes for drink refills, napkins, flatware etc. Some waited for their drinks so long they eventually had no choice but to go to the bar. Been here several times in the last year and am surprised that I have not reviewed them yet. What a place, get beer, food and desert table side while watching a movie. The liquid sunshine tap room is spacious and nice with an ever friendly waitstaff. And numerous brews and vittles. I've had dozens of their different offerings. They do run more types of beers on tap than the service bar in the theatre, so you might want to make note of what you ordered so you can tell the server what you have. I like to get here about an hour and a half before my movie. Enough time to enjoy a couple of microbrews and the enjoy a soda in the theatre so I'm sure I'm safe for the drive home. Outstanding concept. As far as food. As far as I know all of the Taproom food items are available in the theatre. The burgers are good, pizza outstanding as well as their sandwiches. Alas, I have yet to have the urge for a salad, tofu bowl or the wraps. There are some menu items that I could not ever imagine to attempt to eat during the movie. BBQ ribs, spaghetti squash marinara, vegetable bowl or Frito-Lay pie. All I can say is... that in the darkness of the theatre, I'm sure that I would end up wearing some of that on my face or shirt. :) My recommendations are the Popcorn with drawn butter and the seasoned Parmesan cheese. You can't go wrong with the pizza. I always bring an unwanted business card to use as a cover in the theatre to cover the under table light as it is too bright. Always take a black napkin or two from the taproom into the theatre. Especially if you are wearing shorts. If you cross your leg, you want to cover the reflections from your light clothes/untanned legs (if your wearing shorts) Yes, sometimes there are hickups, but the actually do well. Till somebody opens the garage door to the taproom, letting in Nebraska - hot, humid, sticky air in. All in all, well done! A great entertainment experience. Too bad, they can't emulate Sector G from Total Recall in Here. Best part is the occasional vintage movie that they show. I've seen, Blues Brothers, Live and Die in LA and tonight Blade Runner. if there is an issue, leave a comment thru their website. Management, will take your concerns to heart. Fritos, chili, jalapenos, and 2 kinds of cheese. It was fantastic. Deb had the mac & cheese. It has hatch chilis in it and she added bacon on top. When she saw it she didn't think she would finish it but I'm here to tell you that she did. The hatch chilis added a nice mellow heat to an already great dish. Okay, so does a taproom get five stars for the collection of amazing beers they have on tap? Not really! Should a quality selection of appetizers and entrees be enough to warrant five stars? Not really! But if you couple those two heavy weighted points with amazing service (Tracie), a great atmosphere, and the opportunity to slip in to watch a movie then in my opinion you have the perfect place to be on any given day. From IPA's to Stouts, they have plenty to choose from and mostly from local craft breweries. If your are having a hard time trying to figure out which one you want, ask a server! I know that's not recommended in most places but these guys and gals know their beers. Still not sure, get a flight or three and enjoy the evening. When it comes to food, my favs are the meatball appetizers followed by the carnivore pizza! They both go great with a flight (see above). I really never intended on trying this place until a friend called up and said I had come and check the place out. I have recently been to other cinemas with 'bars' in them, and have not been impressed, so I came here with very low expectations. Upon entering you get a huge blast of popcorn smell, as you would at any cinema, but then as you turn into the bar it all starts to sink in, this place is a bar that has a cinema attached to it. They have around 40 taps which appear to have a pretty good rotation, and a very decent and diverse selection of beers, and a staff that knows a little bit about what they serve. The first time I was here was during Omaha Beer Week, and this was an official venue, which surprised me. They had a trivia contest, one question was what IBU stood for, another who was served the first beer after prohibition... But the grand prize was a year's growlers worth of Infusion beer! Liquid Sunshine opened in October of '15, but it seems like they are already a seasoned venue. I returned today with more of an open mind to see again what I might have overlooked. It just so happened to be a wonderful 60 degrees in February, and they opened the (garage) doors to the outdoor patio, where we took our beers till the sun set. The speakers were blasting music, but we asked our wait to turn it down a little, to which they obliged, and made conversation less distracted. There were many tv monitors throughout, so they may be trying to give a sports bar jive to it, but not many people were very interested in the games that were showing, which made me wonder what if they would have movie shorts instead... This is close to where I live, and even though it is a cinema, I will be returning here because it is a really decent neighborhood bar. In fact, I may even return here to see a movie, taking some nice brews with me into the theater. Went here after seeing their menu on the internet... When I got there they had changed their menu and it read difficult for me to find something that I liked to eat. They had quite a selection of draughts beers on tap, but both the food and drink prices were a bit higher than I would like to pay for a pub like that. Even though this restaurant/bar is in a strip shopping area, it's got some nice atmosphere. The bottomless popcorn comes in a metal bowl which you can take into the movie (it's $6). The selection of alcohol is impressive from beer, wine and cocktails. We bought our theatre tickets on line since we heard that seats are limited. They warn you in the restaurant to finish up about 1/2 hour before your movie starts. I had the grilled cheese and it was great. It's pretty basic bar food, but has tons of TVs, private dining areas and outside seating (no views except of the parking lot.) I would go back since it's a great meeting place between Lincoln and Omaha. read more

Normally we eat with the movie in Alamo which is part of this entire place. But we had a group and ate together first. The host guy was great. He was rocking the place to get us all seated aved c ready. Out waitress was nice, but the food arrived one meal like every 8-10 minutes between. So one person would eat and be nearly done before the next person got his/her food. Might have been busy. But man it sucks when you have a movie you have to get to and the clock is running out. We were in town for a baseball tournament and came here because it was close to the hotel and we wanted a beer! We should have stopped with the beer. The server is completely overwhelmed (there was only one). Didn't get water until after our meal came and food was comparable to an airport restaurant. Skip the Caesar salad. I visited Liquid Sunshine a while ago and I was pretty impressed. I stopped in before a movie to order drinks. The beer menu was good but the bartender couldn't mix a tasty Bloody Mary for my wife. We ordered our food and since our movie was about to start they offered to bring it to us in the theater. Sweet! The burger I had was done correctly and the fries were pretty good too. Went for a movie and dinner but did not find any good movie but decided to stay for dinner. The ambience was good, place was clean. The server was average and that's the reason for taking the star away, did not tell me about the reverse happy hour which was to start inn15 min at 9 pm. Previous reviewers must be giving this place serious extra credit for being a bar and attached to a movie theater. Judged as a restaurant alone, it's terrible. All the food our table ordered for lunch was pre-prepared, frozen and re-heated. The best of it (burger) was mediocre and bland. The rest wasn't even that good. Service was cheerless, inattentive and verrrrry slow despite the restaurant being almost dead (at lunch time no less). Perhaps that should have been a sign? The food was expensive for what you get too. Oh, and all the items are served in what looks like a dog bowl. Perhaps if I'd had three or four beers and watched a movie I might have liked it better. We were looking for a place in La Vista for lunch and we decided to check this place out based on the great reviews on Yelp. I'm so glad we did! First, I really like the set-up of the place. They have indoor and outdoor seating, including a garage door that opens. There's nothing better in my mind than sitting technically "inside," with the breeze coming through. The weather was perfect today and it made for such a nice lunch. They had a decent selection for lunch. i went with the Grown Up Grilled Cheese, which came with mozzarella, goat cheese, spinach, and tomato. It was very delicious and came out hot. It also came with a side of fries. In addition to the sandwich, I had three beers. I was really impressed with the selection of the beers, especially since they had several dark beers to choose from (which is surprising for the summer). I got the Infusion Nitro Stout, the Boulder Shake Chocolate Porter, and the Buffalo Sweat Sweet Stout. I liked them all, but thought the Boulder Shake Chocolate Porter was the best. I believe you can even take home any of their beers in a growler, which is awesome. Some helpful hints. First, they have a movie theater ($6.50 for a daytime show before 5 and $9.50 for an evening show with a student discount of $7.50). Any food you can't finish in their restaurant, you can bring to their movie theater. Second, Friday there are beer specials where you can get discounted beer that they couldn't get rid of the night before (Thursday). Third, they have free wifi. In sum, so happy I checked this place out. I would definitely return. read more

This is more of a warning than a review. Tonight, a group of us went to the Liquid Sunshine Taproom for trivia. My son and his friend ordered the chicken strips. When they arrived, my son took one bite and spit it out saying something was wrong. It turns out that the chicken was raw, not just undercooked, but raw! The server came over and we told her and showed her the chicken. She said she would tell the manager about it. I asked to speak with the manager directly. He came out and semi-apologized, saying that they had a new cook in the kitchen and that he was sorry. I said that raw chicken is a serious matter and could make people very ill with salmonella for days. Again, he seemed like it was not that big a deal and he said he would "comp" some items. He took away the order of my son's chicken but not his friend's order. After several minutes the server returned and asked if we wanted another order of the chicken strips. Umm, a definitive no, one helping of raw chicken today was enough and please take away the other order of uneaten chicken strips. My son and his friend said that they were still hungry, so they ordered a pizza. In the end, they comped the chicken strips, pizza and sodas and left everything else on the bill. My concern is that they didn't seem to take this matter of serving raw chicken very seriously. As far as the burger I ordered, it was mediocre and overall, items were overpriced. Although we came in second place in trivia and got a gift card for next time, we are certainly not going back! read more

My fries were good but that is all I can say about the food because that is all I got. I'll give it another try at some point.
