BEC on a toasted Asiago! Delicious, could've used a little more cheese :). But would get again

Fast and delicious! BEC could be a bit cheesier! Would go back tho! Cashier was friendly and my iced latte was perfectly made: great milk ratio :)

I got a large pistachio latte($7) and it was made in about 5 minutes. The drink was pretty solid and balance. They are a window order and pickup spot. The pastries did look good, but I didn't get anything. Staff were friendly! Overall a good experience!

So 5 stars because the food, service and ambiance were all wonderful. It helps that since Lis only has walk up service, that the ambiance was provided by a sunny, cool, windless day sitting beside a glass like river view. Cinnamon roll was spot on, and coffee mild and at a good price.

Cool little shop. Not much seating, but the staff was super friendly. I ordered a coffee, a couple pastries, and a breakfast sandwich. All were pretty good.

The coffee was nothing to write home about- it tasted more like strongly flavored burnt water. The scone was nice and buttery/fluffy and the blueberry muffin was decent as well, but pretty sweet. I would come for the baked goods but pass on the coffee. You have to order at a walk up window and wait outside for the items, and there isn't much seating around.

Very local place with great egg sandwiches and good pastries. You can sit and look out onto the water around the back. It's extremely beautiful and don't go because you'll just mess it up with your ho of people.

Back again this year and Lis did not disappoint! The service is so friendly and it is such a cute little place to stop for iced coffee, breakfast, and a treat! I enjoyed the pastrami breakfast sandwich, and added cream cheese. So delicious. Thank you!!

Everything I have tried here is delicious! Go early, items go fast. Minimal seating is available.

They make their own blend of house teas which are delicious. It's a small spot that has both indoor and outdoor seating. The staff are all very friendly. We ordered the mushroom toast, house breakfast sandwich and two dark chocolate glazed sourdough donuts (which are made to order). This was our second visit of the weekend and everything was delicious both times. Definitely adding to our Rolodex of places to return to and highly recommend!

So that means everyone loves Nana's. Which means that, on a very rainy weekend early afternoon, we ended up waiting quite a long time to order and then to get our food but ... I suppose it was worth it (this is high praise coming from someone who almost never believes waiting in a long line is actually worth it). My friend and I split the spicy Caesar kale salad as a starter. I cracked up when I saw "massaged kale" as one of the ingredients. But all jokes aside, this was one of the best kale salads with abundant dressing and, in lieu of croutons, breadcrumbs and cashew parmesan. It tasted pretty indulgent and rich but you can certainly fool yourself into thinking it's actually healthy. I got the tomato sandwich plus bacon (so a BLT without the L) and it was pretty good, though I do wish they cut the bread a little thinner so I could pick it up and eat it as a sandwich. As it were, I just used my knife and fork - certainly more civilized. The pizza was also not bad, though I wish there were some more of the toppings - heard it's leagues better than Mystic Pizza. There are a few tables inside but be prepared to wait. When it was peak rush hour, there were two lines inside, one for the bathroom and one to place an order. Even though they were so slammed, the staff couldn't be friendlier. Our waitress in particular came by often to see how we were doing. Parking lot also filled up. We parked in the Mystic train station and then walked over.

And if your reply is you'd never go to a chain, there's probably not much more to discuss. I've quipped that I can't make an autobiographical movie because Todd Solondz would sue me for plagiarism but part of my founding narrative was an overly simplistic take on cities vs. rural areas. If Twitter existed when I was 14 my account would have been the most vitriolic assortment of anti-NYC videos. (California tumbles into the sea, that'll be the day I go back to Fresh Meadows). After years of Mellencamp-fueled thoughts of farms and trees, I actually got to spend some time in the country and eventually realized I'm more of a faux-rural type. For example: I like the hiking trails and dark skies in New Paltz but I'm glad you can get there by bus or buy a coffee at 2AM. In recent years I've been on a Mystic kick. I like the crickets, stars and unexpected animals (well, not that fox that seemed weirdly unafraid of human contact). But I'm also glad that iced Americanos are a short walk away. The beverages have been perfect and the service has been friendly every time. I certainly appreciate the existence of the outdoor seating even if I didn't choose it on this late-September excursion. Just like my local JC branch, the Yelp rating here is out-of-whack. As baristas are drawn into dumb political sagas and forced to comply with more corporate rules, I appreciate their hard work.

The line was out the door, but that's because its kind of a smaller line space. When I got to the front, there were 2 people taking orders, so they're trying to keep the line moving. Once I got my items, I went outside to sit on their front porch/patio area with my husband and pup. The blueberry lemonade was really good. Very sweet. It had like bits of blueberry in it as well. And it js MASSIVE. Kind of a steal. The bowtie croissant was SO good. They make sure its filled to the brim with jam. And it was good jam. The croissant itself was fantastic. It was a little thicker to make sure the jam didn't immediately spill out, and that was genuis. I loved it. It was exactly the top of croissant I wanted with jam. The ebbieoche was delicious. Husband loved the cinnamon and sugar. We ate all of it. They had a good amount of pastries and everything was beautiful. I would 100% come back and stand in line.
