Coffee and cinnamon roll by the docks.

So 5 stars because the food, service and ambiance were all wonderful. It helps that since Lis only has walk up service, that the ambiance was provided by a sunny, cool, windless day sitting beside a glass like river view. Cinnamon roll was spot on, and coffee mild and at a good price.

Cool little shop. Not much seating, but the staff was super friendly. I ordered a coffee, a couple pastries, and a breakfast sandwich. All were pretty good.

Very local place with great egg sandwiches and good pastries. You can sit and look out onto the water around the back. It's extremely beautiful and don't go because you'll just mess it up with your ho of people.

The coffee was nothing to write home about- it tasted more like strongly flavored burnt water. The scone was nice and buttery/fluffy and the blueberry muffin was decent as well, but pretty sweet. I would come for the baked goods but pass on the coffee. You have to order at a walk up window and wait outside for the items, and there isn't much seating around.

Back again this year and Lis did not disappoint! The service is so friendly and it is such a cute little place to stop for iced coffee, breakfast, and a treat! I enjoyed the pastrami breakfast sandwich, and added cream cheese. So delicious. Thank you!!

A Sweet, Iconic Stop: Mystic Drawbridge Ice Cream…read more Mystic Drawbridge Ice Cream is one of those rare places where the nostalgia hits just as hard as the flavor. It's the kind of shop that feels woven into the fabric of Mystic itself--warm, welcoming, and perched right over the water with a view that makes every scoop taste a little sweeter. Ice Cream That Actually Lives Up to the Hype The ice cream here is rich, creamy, and clearly made with care. Flavors are bold without being artificial, and classics like chocolate, vanilla, and mint chip are elevated by how fresh and balanced they taste. Their specialty flavors--especially anything with fudge, cookie chunks, or local ingredients--are the real standouts. Every scoop feels indulgent in the best way. A Location That Makes the Experience There's something magical about enjoying your cone while watching the drawbridge rise and fall. Whether you're inside by the windows or outside taking in the breeze, the setting adds a charm you just can't replicate. It's a perfect stop during a Mystic stroll, and it's hard not to linger a little longer than planned. Friendly, Patient Service Even when the line stretches out the door (and it often does), the staff stays upbeat and helpful. They're quick with samples, happy to make recommendations, and keep things moving without making anyone feel rushed. It's the kind of service that makes the whole experience feel personal. A Must‑Visit in Mystic Mystic Drawbridge Ice Cream earns every bit of its reputation. Great flavors, generous portions, a beautiful waterfront setting, and genuinely kind staff make it a five‑star stop every time. Whether you're a local or just passing through, this is one of those Mystic staples you don't skip. Andddd they are opened year round!!! Cheers

A brunch experience you definitely want to arrive hungry to!!…read more I went to Sunday brunch at Sift bakery and I cannot wait to come back. You pay a flat rate for the food where it is a buffet style and you get the option to choose from a full breakfast (hot meal). Our waitress was so nice and was great about checking in on our dining experience. We definitely ate our money's worth! We started off at the pastry bar, I enjoyed the guava and cheese danishes & a mini chocolate croissant. Their spinach and cheese danish was also so tasty!! Then made our way through the charcuterie bar where there was an assortment of fine cheeses and meats, as well as the option for a fruit parfait which my friend really enjoyed. Finally, our favorite part of the buffet was the raw bar (which we could not stay away from). The oysters and clams were so fresh and cleaned exceptionally well- their mignonette was one of the best that I've had! The last 'course' of brunch was a dessert tower!!! I cannot wait to dine here again in the warmer months, this was epic.

If you can't handle stairs do not come. The website's statement regarding it's accessible patio was not accurate. It looked like one existed but it was closed and they were not seating people there. Sometimes mistakes are made, and websites are not updated... but, my niece had confirmed via phone that this patio was accessible. We were completely blindsided. Members of our family ended up just going back to the hotel because we were a party of 14 people on graduation weekend with no other options. Furthermore, There were only two bathrooms and they were on the first floor. If the patio had been open, these bathrooms would not have been accessible for anyone with mobility issues sitting on that patio. And there was a line, and no soap in one of the two bathrooms On the good side, the dining room was pretty and open air. It was a nice atmosphere and the waitstaff was good. But the food was expensive, and disappointing for the price and the hype. The onion roll in the bread basket was fantastic, and the sour dough was ok, but I didn't love the weird unchopped ceaser salad with discs of bread and parm. It was just frustrating to eat even if the flavors were good. My husband didn't really like the buccatini. I can't really speak for anyone else in our party. It was really going to be a high bar to make up for members of our family having to leave and not being able to celebrate with us. It could probably be a great place if they just got their act together. Other things to keep in mind are that parking in this part of town is beyond insane.

The Cranberry Oatmeal Cookie was calling our names and we each got a single scoop. The scoop was very small for $4.75, but we very much enjoyed the ice cream. There were a lot of other seasonal options and a variety of vegan flavors. The hours of Seven Birds may vary, I've noticed they'll close early during rainy weather. It's likely a big hit during the summer season when the village is very busy. There isn't much seating near the Seven Birds building. There were 6 of us for brunch and none of us had been here before. The Shipwright's Daughter rivals many excellent experiences we had and surpasses most. The brunch menu offers a nice assortment of options as we had one member in our party who had some eating restrictions. We started off with both raw and roasted oysters, both of which, we some of the best we have ever had. I love Shashuka. I've never had it with tomatillos. This version is now my favorite. I enjoyed the play between savory and acid. I chose my eggs to be prepared over easy expecting the yolks to add the desired richness that tomatillos can handle without overpowering their bite. What set this version apart for me was the addition of the pickled vegetables. They greatly complimented the tomatillos with their own sweetness and acidity that made for a well balanced bite. Others in our party felt similarly, that their meals were so flavorful and so well execucted that it made for a superb dining experience.
