The line was out the door, but that's because its kind of a smaller line space. When I got to the front, there were 2 people taking orders, so they're trying to keep the line moving. I ordered the bowtie croissant that had blackberry jam inside and an ebbieoche. Along with an espresso for my husband and a blueberry lemonade for me. Once I got my items, I went outside to sit on their front porch/patio area with my husband and pup. The blueberry lemonade was really good. Very sweet. It had like bits of blueberry in it as well. And it js MASSIVE. Kind of a steal. The bowtie croissant was SO good. They make sure its filled to the brim with jam. And it was good jam. The croissant itself was fantastic. It was a little thicker to make sure the jam didn't immediately spill out, and that was genuis. I loved it. It was exactly the top of croissant I wanted with jam. The ebbieoche was delicious. Husband loved the cinnamon and sugar. We ate all of it. They had a good amount of pastries and everything was beautiful. I would 100% come back and stand in line.

But the food was expensive, and disappointing for the price and the hype. The onion roll in the bread basket was fantastic, and the sour dough was ok, but I didn't love the weird unchopped ceaser salad with discs of bread and parm. It was just frustrating to eat even if the flavors were good. My husband didn't really like the buccatini. I can't really speak for anyone else in our party. It was really going to be a high bar to make up for members of our family having to leave and not being able to celebrate with us. It could probably be a great place if they just got their act together. Other things to keep in mind are that parking in this part of town is beyond insane.

As it were, I just used my knife and fork - certainly more civilized. The pizza was also not bad, though I wish there were some more of the toppings - heard it's leagues better than Mystic Pizza. There are a few tables inside but be prepared to wait. When it was peak rush hour, there were two lines inside, one for the bathroom and one to place an order. Even though they were so slammed, the staff couldn't be friendlier. Our waitress in particular came by often to see how we were doing. Parking lot also filled up. We parked in the Mystic train station and then walked over.

There were a lot of other seasonal options and a variety of vegan flavors. The hours of Seven Birds may vary, I've noticed they'll close early during rainy weather. It's likely a big hit during the summer season when the village is very busy. There isn't much seating near the Seven Birds building. If you are visiting from out of state, I highly recommend trying one of the Honeycone Ice Cream flavors here if you find yourself at Olde Mistick Village.

We then ordered the shishito peppers, 2 of the pickled beet deviled eggs, and the roasted oysters with chili oil. They came out super fast, and it was delicious. The shishitos had that great char flavor along with a great dipping sauce. You can never go wrong with deviled eggs. Then we decided to order the fried oysters and the bread with corn butter. The fried oysters were the star of the small plates. Cooked so well. Freshly fried, you bite into it and it was juicy and delicious on the inside. Just so good. The bread and butter? Ugh, my dream butter and bread. Just so delicious. The butter was slightly sweet from the corn and had flakes of sea salt on tip, making it the perfect sweet and salty combo. The black raspberry was a little icy because they froze whole blackberries in it, but at least you know they were trying to make sure you got blackberries in there. With happy hour, the bill wasn't too bad. This was hands down our favorite meal of our week long road trip. I can't wait to come back. I would 100% make a detour to eat here.
