We were in town early one morning this week and we stopped for a take-away breakfast sandwich. Made a pit stop at Lisa's Milltown Deli while traveling across the state. This is such a great lunch spot!! The restaurant is cute and quaint. The service was friendly and attentive and we were greeted upon entering. The menu offerings were abundant and eclectic. There is even a bar with some really nice cocktails! Pit stop for lunch and did not disappoint. lil man ordered the bacon cheeseburger and fries, wifey got the Cuban sandwich to share, and I got a cup of cheddar bacon potato soup. Overall, the food was surprisingly, really good. I got the baked tomato soup and that the cheese for that was insane. I have never seen a cheese bowl like that and the soup itself was so creamy and with the croutons it was the perfect balance I could eat an entire bowl that or even get a second one of just that we also ended up getting the Panini that my friend ended up getting and she said that it was pretty good too. That also looked very good and then we both shared in the dessert which was a lemon raspberry explosion cake. I thought that the cake was decent. It wasn't anything insanely great, but I thought that the cake was very moist. It had a lemon flavor And there was a raspberry component that really brought it through, but I liked it. I would definitely get it again, but it wasn't my favorite out of all the restaurants I tried, but I would definitely go back for the tomato soup because that really made the entire experience for me. Pricewise I think each of the dishes were about eight bucks. I would say that some of the things on their menu was a bit pricey I think for lunch standards so if I were to get the soup that I got and I wanted to get like a Panini and add fries to that I think that would come out to about 2025 bucks and while the taste was good, I think for lunch prices that's a little bit expensive for me but again I felt like that the food quality was definitely there And I would probably still pay for it honestly because the taste was also very good and I think that the people working, there were also very kind and accommodating. No one was mean to us they were very approachable. They had a great selection of different mocktails which I was appreciated even though I didn't try them. Another thing that I kind of wish was that their breakfast hours would extend a little past 12 on Saturdays. We got an earlier start coming home from a yearly road trip that usually has us lunching in Mansfield but made it all the way to this part of the state by lunch time, and decided to stop here. What a great find! My husband and I split a cheesesteak, chips, and potato salad. It was all delicious but my personal favorite was the potato salad. Creamy, perfectly seasoned, quite luscious. Portions were quite generous; I still had some potato salad and half of my half sandwich to take home. Service was very friendly and the place was packed so clearly the secret is known. Our waitress, Jessica was not only helpful with suggestions she seemed to be a mind reader. We ordered just about everything she suggested, we even did the, "I can't decide which one out of these," her excitement and enthusiasm towards the scrumptious food made our choices easy and they did not disappoint. When she told us about the baked tomato soup, I had to try it. I love the idea of french onion soup but I don't like onions, so a creamy tomato french onion style was a no brainer. When I say we almost fought over it I'm not exaggerating. They have hit the jackpot with that soup and it is hands down a MUST for when you come here. Between the three of us one had breakfast, which those pancakes were mouth watering. One had a burger and let me just say the quality of the locally sourced beef was full of amazing flavor. The last was a panther chicken panini, that homemade garlic spinach dip was bomb and gave the sandwich that smooth flavor that just completed it. Everything that we got was fabulous..a grilled shrimp cesar salad wrap,a turkey, cranberry and brie grilled sandwich, wedge salad, soup, and best of all a spectacular piece of real, true coconut pie. Lisa's Milltown Deli is overrated and overpriced . I will say that I have never had bad food from Lisa's, but the service is atrocious. We once ordered takeout, arrived when it was supposed to be ready, and waited an hour for our food. Another time I arrived for my pick up order, which again wasn't ready, so I sat at a table to wait. After 20 minutes I was asked to stand as they were getting busy and wanted to seat guests who'd arrived after me. Ambience is okay. Nothing exceptional. But okay. read more

The soup came out piping hot, loaded with potato chunks and topped with bacon and cheese. In addition to soups, they have salads, sandwiches, pasta dishes, seafood and some fun sides. Lisa's features new specials every night, and they can be found on their website. I've only had the pleasure of eating here twice, but during both experiences I was impressed with the service. The staff is friendly and clearly happy to be employed there. The venue is small and can get crowded during peak hours, so you might be better off calling ahead to make a reservation. Great local diner! We were in town for a wedding and stopped here for lunch two days in a row. The staff have all been working there for a long time and you can tell they know the menu inside and out. On our first visit the waitress reminded us to check out their daily specials and im so glad we did: we ordered their turkey burger ("the gobbler") and it was delicious. Food here was terrific! I was surprised how small this place was but it seems bigger because they have tables outside. We opted to sit outside it was so nice out! The coffee was horrible and I'd probably never order coffee here again. BUT my breakfast was amazing. I ordered the eggs benedict with crab meat. I was very happy they didn't serve it with traditional hollandaise sauce because I'm not really a fan of that. It was served with lemon dill sauce which paired well. The portions were on the larger side. I would give 5 stars but service lacked here. They were friendly enough but we sat a long time before even being acknowledged. Service was very very slow. A very large group came and they seem to be catered to an took priority over us. Took probably a half hour for our food to come out which is long for breakfast. My husband and I stopped in for lunch around 12:30p on Friday as we were passing through Milton. There was a line to be seated, but no wait. It took about 15 minutes for a server/waitress to even acknowledge our existence and take our drink order. It took another 25 minutes to get our food...ONE sandwich that we shared with fries. I understand that they are short staffed like many other establishments, BUT I'd recommend that they not put NINE additional tables outside if they cannot service the tables inside. The sandwich was nothing special for $9.95. The fries were good (and extra $2.25). Smallest glass of wine ever for $7 and $1.50 for ranch dressing to dip fries in. Total waste of my time waiting...and I was very patient except when I had to wait 10 minutes for a second glass of wine. I would not recommend this restaurant or go back...sorry! read more

We end up driving through PA en route to OH often and were pleased to find a really cute, pleasant, restaurant for a healthy well prepared non-diner breakfast in downtown Milton. We rolled in about 9:00 am on a Sunday and were able to be seated immediately. While there was cafe seating available we opted to sit inside the charming older building. Coffee was actually pretty good and we opted for the salmon/asparagus lemon dill sauced eggs Benedict were light, fresh and full of tasty salmon (not smoked salmon) the lemon dill sauce was delicious but I wish they had spooned a little more sauce on top. It was perfect size and while it felt indulgent it was actually a healthy choice! We passed on the desserts but the pies and cakes looked very tempting. We will keep this on our stop at list as the lunch menu looks very appealing esp the "soup sampler". Recommended, we'll be back. read more

It's a wonderful little deli right in the historic heart of Milton. Right now it's my go to place for brunch and lunch food. The wait staff is super friendly and the atmosphere is warm and welcoming. They have AMAZING soups, absolutely DELISHOUS. And there's always new specials day by day, today we had the cajun scallops corn chowder and it was great. It's a bit pricey (especially the cocktails!) but it's worth the quality that you get. I'm a particular fan of the cowboy burger. It also has really great outside seating when it's warm. read more

Decided on venturing in on a Friday night to try out The Milltown Deli. We sat outside, there is a nice atmosphere of the small down while being outside. I am not a big meal person, so I had the 2 crab cakes with fried green tomatoes and it came with remoulade, which is like a tartar sauce with paprika. the remoulade tasted great when you dipped the tomatoes and crab cakes in it. The crab cakes were broiled and were perfectly seasoned as well as the fried green tomatoes. The broccoli salad was nicely flavored, you can taste the bacon in it. I also ordered a side of Mac and cheese, it was on the Luke warm side. The waitress was nice enough to get me one Togo. Which was almost forgotten till my friend said something. Over all service, we were seated outside no lights to help find the food on our plates. The only light was the dim light inside the restaurant , the one room was reserved for a party that showed up after us. We waited about 45 minutes for our food (we both ordered the same thing except different sides). We were checked on once after our order and once when our server was passing by and I told we her about the cold Mac n cheese. Did not ask if we wanted refills on drinks, and She sort of vanished . We had to ask another server for our check and take our payment. I feel they were a little understaff with the party being full focus and people outside they occasionally popped out. This was my second time at Lisa's Deli! The food was out of this world! I got the Steak Benedict with Horsey sauce which was superb! My boyfriend wanted a different sauce since he isn't a big fan of horseradish and they substitute it with a lemon pepper sauce no problem. Each meal is made to order. Everything came out perfectly, super fresh and Flavor combinations were delectable. They had a lot of seasonal options on a special brunch menu, pumpkin pancakes etc. I really want to try their soup sampler next time. This review is for dinner service. My husband and I went out with our parents tonight for a birthday meal at Lisa's. Two of us ordered alcoholic beverages: a margarita and a strawberry daiquiri. Both drinks were horrible and if our food hadn't been so good would be a sticking point for this review. I think the problem was that the drinks normally meant to be sweet or sour were neither and instead bland. The person tending bar seemed inexperienced, as I observed them pouring without measuring, etc. For dinner I ordered the Saturday special: grilled shrimp skewers with feta, grilled veggies and a couscous salad. Flavor profile was excellent and it was a filling but light meal. Others ordered the steak, seafood options. My mother in law ordered a burger and we were surprised to find on the bill an individual charge for eat component: lettuce, tomato, onion! Service was average, our waiter appeared nervous as though it was one of his first days. Two of our meals never received the ordered sides which was mentioned but not compensated for. read more
