I debated leaving a review because I genuinely thought it didn't matter but have since decided others should know what they're walking in to. Let's start with my 20lbs dog has LONG hair. They shaved her for a summer cut. Maybe that was my mistake on clarity but I figured a professional groomer would know not to shave her. I'll let that slide. What I can't let slide is the groomer cutting her nails past the quick to obtain shorter nails. While I enjoy my dogs nails short you do NOT cut pass the quick. It is very painful for them. There were two nails minimum on each paw cut far too short. My dog already hates her nails trimmed. Secondly they cut her ear and failed to notify me. Thankful she didn't need stitches but it's still something that should have been brought up. I understand mistakes happen, dogs move but at the end of the day I would have preferred honesty. I will absolutely not be returning and advise that if you do go here you are clear on two common sense things; don't shave a long haired dog, don't cut past the quick. A five star Nail Trimming experience at alias's pampered paws pet grooming. This is our first time coming to Rebekah. I am beyond happy. Everyone at Lisa's Pampered Paws was kind and happy. They were all grooming an animal with Love. I brought in my 3 doggies and my bird Ruby. M dog max is 12 plus years old. Aki is 6, Olivia Cocobean is 4 and Ruby my bird I gave had for over 8 years. Each animal's nail were clipped with kindness and love. I held each doggie so they felt safe. I have used Lisa's in the past just for nail trimming. Cold weather and an older dog, I decided to let them shampoo her along with the nail trim. Very accommodating staff. Checked in at 8:30am, she was ready for me at 10am as promised. Staff all very much show their love of all dogs and all care is in the open and on view. They clearly have a steady flow of regular customers, always a positive sign. I liked the little pink bow in Sydney's hair. Nice touch. All moms are going to appreciate this on their fur babies. I will certainly come here again and can recommend them. Prices are competitive and when you get what you pay for all the better. I can't stress enough how great Lisa's grooming is!! I've been taking my sweet boy for his haircut every couple of months for about a year now and I love it!! The staff is always very friendly, the place is clean and all the dogs look happy! I usually get the full service groom with bath, haircut, and nails and Jackson always comes home looking so handsome and clean! What an excellent fur baby establishment! We've had our wonderfully Alfa, yet affectionate half golden retriever, half Australian Queensland doggo groomed here four times now! Wasn't sure how I felt about this particular groomer just yet due to the experiences we had previous to the new ownership. Prior to the new/current owners our dog Gidget (who passed from health issues nearly fours years ago now) had come back on more than one occasion with a couple deep Knick/skin cuts! The first time it happened I let it slide, but by the 2nd I realized they were a bit too negligent side. Not the worst, great people who were some of the friendliest! For nearly ten years I've not returned. After speaking to a friend, she mentioned that there were new owners, as well as management and I figured, heck why not give them one more shot!? Everyone deserves a second chance! Boy am I glad I did! I literally could not be happier. They have been absolutely amazing grooming my Oakley! Rebekah the manager truly takes the time to follow every curvature of his body from head to toe and has been doing such a top notch job! Always making sure to send him back looking absolutely perfectly detailed in more ways than one. Beyond pleased with her performance is precisely how I feel each time Oakley is groomed there. It's clear as day that she knows exactly what she's doing, well all of the groomers there have a keen eye for what they're doing actually! My usual groomer is still closed, and my dog desperately needed grooming. When I asked for quotes on Yelp, Lisa's grooming was the only one to respond, and she said she could get him in the following morning. She seemed nice, & she brought something to my attention when I picked up my dog regarding his paws, and I appreciate that. He ended up with a summer shave because he was matted and she said she tried to save him from the shave & that took longer. She had him 6 1/2 hours and quoted me 4 hours. She charged me $110 (CASH ONLY) after quoting me $75-$99. (No mention of cash or check only when I dropped him off) He loves his summer hair cut, he's very playful and happy so although he looks weird to me, he feels good so that's what matters most. read more

My dog loved the addition of a potty spot outside of the groomer. He went in nervous but seemed very happy when I picked him up. He was happy that the groomer's treated him with care (he loved it when the groomer called him a good boy as he left), and he's also happy that they sent him home in a holiday bandana. I've been taking my dogs here for years! Everyone that works here is wonderful! They treat my lily so good they always do the cut that I ask and if they are going to shave her they tell me! Just some quick additional information: We were told that yes, the dogs do get their glands expressed at this groomers. Only after we called in about our pup being hurt from it, were we then told that they "don't" do that there. Our pup is back in the vet right now, due to an infection from his glands getting expressed, which also caused even more damage to the surrounding tissues because it's been hurting him so badly since Saturday. My husband and I have been taking our baby (Clyde) since he's started getting groomed. He always looks so cute when he comes home and he's never traumatized which is a plus because he's always a little skittish. My husband is the one who picks him up and drops him off but he states to always have a good experience with staff even though they are always busy (which to me is a good sign). Took my 2 Australian Shepherds there and they did a great job on them. It was hard finding a groomer who is familiar with the breed and can deliver exactly what I want. My dogs went there looking like street dogs and they came home looking like show dogs. Seems like they also got their ears flushed and nails trimmed. Pretty reasonable price for the work that they do. I was scared that my dogs were gonna be stressed at the groomer with all the sound and how staffs handle them but when I picked them up they were just sleeping and chilling in the crate. I regularly bring my dog here to get her nails trimmed. I always just show up, no appointment needed. I always see the same several faces in there and all of them are amazing. I get greeted everytime I come in, as well as my dog (she gets greeted by name). They're done quickly and her nails are perfect. I always pay in cash because they've only ever excepted cash or check (it is clearly displayed on the door). If I don't have cash, it is super easy and quick for me to get cash next door in the convenience shop while they trim her nails. My dog is short hair and does not need grooming often and never a cut. But, I have brought her here to get cleaned a few times, with an appointment. I was at first confused on why it would take so long for a short haired dog to get bathed, and I'm a first time dog mom. But it was explained it to me and it made perfect sense. She also said that if I needed my dog back before the typically expected amount of time, they'd make sure to get her done earlier. I think I've had my dog bathed there just 3 times now, maybe more, and I couldn't be happier. The cute bandana they put on her when she's done is a nice touch too. Lisa's shop is in what used to be Kristi's Pet Grooming. When we were taking our dogs to Kristi she was fantastic and did the three things that are essential for a good business: 1) she was accountable 2) she communicated 3) she was professional. Our dogs were always taken care of with Kristi. Lisa is the opposite. We took our dog into Lisa's on Saturday for his appointment at 9:00 am. At 12:27 we called to check in on how he was doing and to confirm that they had our correct number because it had been about three hours since he was dropped off. Normally it takes about 2-3 hours tops to bathe and groom our dogs. We were told by Lisa (owner) that they had not started yet because they were "super busy." The idea that they were too busy is fine, I understand that during COVID-19 things have been crazy. The point is that no one bothered to reach out to us and let us know that they were running behind and that it would take longer. That's a lack of communication which is important in ANY business. The other thing that stood out about them being "super busy" was that it was very clear that they were over booking because their interest is in profits and not customer service and the clients which should be the priority. There is no reason why a place that opens at 7 am should not have been even mildly prepared for a 9 am appointment. WE DID NOT GET A CALL UNTIL 3PM. 6 HOURS for one dog, with an appointment. How upsetting, infuriating and annoying that during that time we could not get the courtesy of a phone call to let us know that they were running behind so that I could have been able to decide whether to bring my dog to another place or to reschedule my appointment. 6 hours in a crate waiting to be groomed or bathed. 6 hours. No apology. Lisa was extremely rude to my mom who's english is very broken. There was no apology or accountability for the fact that it was taking so long. We bring our boy home and it wasn't until yesterday that we notice two abrasions on each side of his little legs. See the pictures attached. What the pictures tell me is that 1) They rushed and 2) they were reckless. I called today and spoke to Lisa who told me that my mother who barely speaks English was extremely rude to HER and that she had to react. Very professional right? She didn't bother to call on the day of the grooming, no one bothered to apologize about the delay OR the injury and she fought with me on the phone. Lisa let me know that her grooming takes so long because she is understaffed and has to wait for her bather who has a second job. That's great, really, it is. However, what that CONFIRMS is that they are over booking and just keeping dogs or cats KNOWING that they are unable to start their appointments on time or even close to being on time. Profits over people. How did she respond? "Oh, well I have no notes here on his card from the groomer that there were any issues, you want to bring him by so I can take a look?" No. I was not going to bring him by because she is not a vet and could do nothing. Again, no apology or accountability. Lisa then took it a step forward and hung up on me when I told her that it was a personal problem that she wasn't staffed knowing that she had appointments set up. Lisa hung up on me. Again, very professional for a business owner. Kristi was amazing. Lisa is most definitely not. Do your research before coming into this shop. Make sure you ask questions and advocate for your pets. You should always be kept in the loop. Demanding that someone who has your pet in their care communicate with you is never something you should be sorry about. Especially when they come back to you injured. We still paid the full price and left a tip UPDATE: Lisa said that he would have been injured and shaved far too short because he was "extremely matted and had not been groomed in 5 1/2 months." The other photos attached show him 2 days- a month before his grooming. I don't see extreme matting and he was groomed in April. He has never had hair longer than what is shown. Just do your research. Again, no accountability. She just blame shifts. These things happen, it's okay. But her reaction and inability to take accountability is baffling. read more

Lisa and company did such a great job with Spam. Lisa was quick to respond via Yelp for an appointment. Practicing social distancing, she met Spam and myself outside of the grooming salon. 21`we have been taking our dogs to Lisa's pampered paws for a couple years. Today we had the worst experience since taking our dogs to the groomer. We weren't informed until we went to pick our dogs up that they had increased their prices by $10 a dog which came to 125. I didn't mind the price but I thought it was unprofessional that when I drop my dogs off they did not inform me until I came to pick them up and pay. They also were too lazy to remove the mats from my dogs ears both dogs and therefore they cut their ears all the way down. I honestly feel they could've fixed it because it's been done before but whoever did the grooming I felt was too lazy and this place has become a assembly line. Therefore I would not recommend this groomer to anyone. I will be looking for a groomer that isn't assembly line Groomer and one who is concerned with peoples animals.
