We had a clog in our kitchen sink. It wasn't fully clogged as it did eventually drain. We called Lister for repair. They came right away and were able to clear the clog in a few minutes. I set up an appointment and Ronnie came out to take a look at my issue. Unfortunately, we have pure hot water coming out of the backyard spigot. It must be hooked right up to the hot water heater because it is dangerously hot in a few moments. Ronnie saw that this repair would need to take place in the laundry room, right behind the front load washing machine. He said he would need to reschedule a time when 2 technicians could come out. I received a call 30 minutes before the appointment time and the technicians arrived right on time. The washing machine is installed on top of some cinder blocks so it has to be carefully lifted down to get at the work area. David and Lawrence came out at the new appointment time and got right to work. David carefully cut an opening into the drywall and set to work at crossing the pipes how they should have been set up when the house was built. He even let me snap a few quick pics so I would know the size of the drywall repair. After the repair was completed, they both carefully reset the washing machine back where it was and hooked everything back as it was. The eve of Christmas Eve I called Lister plumbing to check our frozen pipes. I was desperate, we were expecting family for Christmas lunch. He came Christmas Eve morning. He gave us advice on accepting that the pipes were frozen and reassured us by predicting that they would melt before Christmas and he was right. also he gave us advice for protecting our pipes next time. Plus He took the time hook up the gas line for a new fireplace insert with logs etc. the first thing they told me was "we don't work on fireplaces." I explained that it was the coupling that was the wrong size. They agreed to come look at it and the plumber they sent was wonderful. Got it fixed it and checked to see if it was working properly. So even though it warmed up Christmas Day we didn't need a fire but we used it anyway. We have been using Lister plumbing for 20 years and they have always taken care of the problem. I had a gas leak on my water heater and the gas company was unable to fix it, so they recommended a plumber. I called Lister and they were able to see me same day, which was a huge relief. It is located in a hallway attic and the tank was one inch too big to come thru the attic stairs. He brought out my new heater, cut the old one in half to get it out of the attic. The plumber from Lister, George, who came to handle my plumbing did a great job. He was fairly quick in getting the work done and when he went from doing one thing to another he cleaned up. When he was installing the kitchen sink fixture he asked me to hold the faucet in place while he secured it from below. I've tried installing a kitchen faucet before and every time I positioned the faucet and then tried to go under the sink to tighten up the nuts to secure the thing in place the faucet would move. It drove me nuts. So I feel confident that the faucet is exactly where it needs to be. Also, George was polite and told me what he was going to do before he did anything. There was a time or two when there was more than one way to get something done and he asked me how I wanted him to proceed. I would definitely have George back for my next plumbing job. read more

Worst Experience of my life, after a month of bad experiences with this company, I had success with another local Plumbing Company. The first time the plumber came out, he opened the City side and said it was there problem and call them, they came and it was my issue so 6 hours later pleading with the plumber to do something and $400 out of my pocket I could flush my toilet without it coming into my house, a few weeks later I had the same problem and after 8 or 9 hours and realizing a sink hole was in my yard I had minimal usage of my bathrooms. Finally the real problem was found, they patched a small part of the problem and the Owner suggested I find someone else, The Owner wanted to cut his losses. Two of my sinks had leaks and several of my drain plugs were broken. I called up Lister and they sent Ronnie to my house that very day. He efficiently fixed everything. One of the drain plugs was rusted but salvable. Enough is enough. We are forced to use this plumber because this is rental property and they were selected by the owner. Our first experience involved the plumber dropping a shop vac full of greasy sludge. The sludge flew into the air and came down all over the pantry and thru the slats wiping out several dry goods, thermal totes and other items stored there. It also came down all over the refrigerator and counter tops destroying important papers, calendars etc. After the plumber left we discovered the same mess all over the bathroom. It took us hours to clean up all the mess. Did I say gteasy? On the next visit, the same plumber arrived again, not too happy to be there. When I asked what needed to be done he dismissed my question stating he would let the owner know. Wee, the owner lives in Houston and was not the person waiting for repairs to be done. So I asked again to have him respond in an even ruder tone. I asked him to leave. He refused. I had to call the shop to request they make him leave. They sent out another plumber to complete the job. On the next visit to install a leaking dishwasher full of stagnant water and gnats, they kept me waiting all afternoon and called and cancelled at the last minute. The appointment was moved from Thursday to Monday. Again I waited all afternoon Monday to have them offer to reschedule on Wednesday. I declined. It is now a week later and the owner of the house has called saying that the plumber has called him saying they have been out to install the dishwasher and we have stood them up. There has not been any contact with this company in a week. Whoever is telling the property owner should have realized cell phone records are easily accessible. If you want to lose hours of your time, have no objection to cleaing up someone else"s nasty messes and being subjected to rude employees, then this is the company for you. Also, I requested to be contacted by the owner and it never happened. Surprise. Surprise. read more

I would rate this company with no stars but that is not an option. Worst experience of poor customer service. The owner stated they would not assist a friends plumbing issues because she asked for the cost of repairs. She needed one hose replaced but they insisted she needed major repairs including going into the wall to replace what was not broken. The owner stated his company was wasting time with her when other customers were waiting for their help. I have never heard of anyone being treated the way she was. I will definitely spread the word to everyone I know to NOT using this company. read more
