I'll go back but I'll keep it to the burgers. It seems more their speed. Too bad though. The area need s few quality restaurants.

There is an outdoor bar and comfortable seating, along with the chairs people brought on their own. This made waiting for our dinner table more palatable. They do not take reservations so first come, first served. Our waitress, Amy, was so lovely and helpful! She took good care of us. Our fried pickles appetizer was delicious, and we all enjoyed our meals. My son in particular loved his burger of the month which, believe it or not, was a PB&J burger! The Jam was raspberry, bacon habanero and onion ... and he said it was great! I had the salmon patty with Cole slaw which was so tasty. The only draw back, and the reason for four stars instead of five, were the French fries. They were really soggy. We should have said something immediately which we didn't - but we did tell Amy as we were leaving and she promised to pass it along to the kitchen. For a good meal, pleasant fast service and a fun atmosphere, Listons is the place to go!

Hopes to find a place open late that offers both?: 0% Chance! But then... this place. Packed with cars, looking classy, promising and miraculously granted all my wishes in the most perfect way! And now, we drive to Worthington on purpose just to try what's new in their menu and always leave pleasantly surprised! Atmosphere is great! Bartenders are awesome and the kitchen delivers creative and traditional plates with consistent quality and delicious flavors that will make you want to come back for more. Nice Job! Keep up the good work Liston's!

The family that has run this shack is in the third or fourth generation of ownership, my family and I have been going here for over 30 years and have seen it go from a thriving dairy farm with fields and horse-drawn hay rides, with taps and buckets in the individual trees, to a much reduced farm selling off plots for McMansions, struggling even just to keep the sugaring tradition alive. The kitchen is bare bones, just an electric griddle and a small sink area, and the food is not gourmand. But it is fulfilling and delicious and cooked with heart. Like the other reviewer said, this is not a Disneyfied sugar shack, this is the real deal. Throw your support behind authentic New England dairy farmers, but be prepared for a real down to earth farm run by real New Englanders. Bring your rubber boots.

It's small but seats probably 20. The Mollison's have been running this shack since the 60's, making their own maple syrup and serving breakfast. It is a sweet, nice experience to go there and see the people who live in the hilltowns who actually go to these less spiffed up places. It is worth your time to go here. The food is not fancy, but they put their heart and soul into it and it is very satisfying. The maple syrup is great, of course. The pancakes, bacon and everything else is made fresh to order. You can see the kitchen in the dining area and my neighbor loves their maple candies. They're home-like pancakes and are typical of the sugar shacks in western mass. (The ones who really work on food and use whole ingredients are Davenport and Strawbale, while Gould's pretty tasty food). You won't be disappointed for visiting the hard working people of sugar season in Mass. It is beautiful.

Hash was homemade and outstanding! Extra crispy and flavorful. Biscuits were homemade buttermilk and about as good as homemade buttermilk biscuits can get. My husband had coffee which he said was very good (which is high praise from him). I had a small hot chocolate. Do yourself a favor, if you get the hot chocolate, make it a large. Hands down the best I've ever tasted. Light, frothy and Ghirardelli chocolate, need I say more? We saw the pancakes and they are dinner plate sized. The place is unassuming and comfortable, games to play at your table to keep the kids busy. Local artwork for sale. The owner was at the register and he shared the story of how the place came to be. Ask if you meet him, pretty cool and I'm glad they survived their first year. You order at the register and they bring the food to your table. Def stop if you are in the area. We love supporting small business.

The people were friendly and pleasant Terrific corned beef hash in particular. But my bill came to $28 with no tax in a place where you go order, get your silverware, pour your own coffee, bus your table, so not full serve. Not that it's an issue at all, but I wanted to give an accurate description. So why 3 stars? Maybe it's me. Maybe I'm just a crotchety almost old man, but $28 seems to be exorbitant without tip. If I'm wrong then It should be four stars.
