Hiking the Appalachian Trail and this place is right along it. The burger was delicious and cooked exactly how I wanted it. The BBQ Chicken Pizza was also really good. Beer and mixed drinks as well. Good dinner, nice service. Not fancy but it's a Public House so it's kind of perfect. We had the truffle fries and fried green tomatoes- both were great: hot and crispy. We ordered 2 pizzas that took forever. Our waitress never checked back to see if we wanted more to drink, or ask how our meal was. First visit. Hometown place, which I'm all for, though I've been gone too long to recognize anyone. Three of us ordered a wrap, fish tacos, and a pizza. After watching others who arrived at the same time or after get served, we questioned the waitress -- The pizza takes a long time she says. Mind you, no mention of an extended wait on the menu or when ordering. So, not happy, but ok. Food finally arrives. Fries are nice and hot. Pizza and meals, barely lukewarm. No plate or serveware delivered with the pizza, and then the waitress seemed to avoid us. The pizza, by the way, was delicious! I will give this place another try. read more

I always like to go to and support local places instead of the bigger well-known ones. So, I am always more generous with my reviews at such places. This is 100% a local place and not one for tourists. You see people from the town saying hi to each other, grabbing a beer, and generally being friendly. The parking in front is always full. (It can be tricky to back out of the space due to limited visibility.) The food is good and different. Based on the recommendations that I have seen, my wife selected the shrimp tacos and I selected a modified steak fajitas wrap. First, let me say that there are a good number of shrimp on the wap. I have been to many places that have a few shrimp and it feels like a salad taco with shrimp flavor. Not here. There were four shrimp per taco (12 in all) and they were well spiced. If I had a complaint, it would be that there was too much sauce on the top. But, that problem can be solved with a spoon. Because I must be gluten-free, I asked for the steak fajitas wrap without the wrap. It turned out to be a flavorful mixture with a little bit of a kick. Again, perhaps a little too much sauce. But, enjoyable and plentiful. I also asked to the veggies instead of fried. The waitress was most accommodating of my extra requests and there was no additional charge. So, in all, I really enjoyed myself. I would not consider this to be a place to drive 20 miles to try. But, I would absolutely go here over the Applebees and Chilis down the street. While you are here, don't forget Sweet Pea's ice cream a few doors down. read more

I just moved around the corner from here in January . I was pleasantly surprised to discover this seemingly hidden gem! The atmosphere is cozy, appropriate for families as well as a date night or a night out with friends. There are two rooms, one with a bar and tables and one room is for sit down dining. The food is very good, the wait staff are friendly and every thing comes out on time. I'm very happy with this place! I'll be happier when covid is over with and I can feel safe dining out again. We came in party of 5 adults and a party of 6 came in after us. We were told that we had to wait 15 minutes and the party of 6 behind us that was not all adults were seated before us. We were then seated in a small 4 seat high top bc it was going to take longer. When I asked the hostess why the other party was seated before us I was told because they had a larger party, it was only one more person. I find this incredibly rude since we were there first and there are no reservations. I am sure the owner wouldn't approve of the snotty hostess' treatment of his customers. read more

Just enjoyed a delicious meal at the bar. Wife had to cancel but I ordered her a steak fajita to go. I had salmon over salad with tangy house cider dressing. Great vibe in the bar. No chuckleheads that I could see. Great place for locals to go. The pizza looked amazing. That's next on my list. read more

Wow, after being turned away at door for being "at capacity" with lots of open space we could see, and people were leaving and we still could not go in, while my family members were in there, we left and are never coming back. Apparently the owner behind the bar is beholden to the bouncer who points back to the owner for responsibility. And they are all too serious for a tiny Dalton bar. This isn't a Vegas night club. There's no hype. I just wish I didn't drive across town to be treated so disrespectfully and be turned away. What a sad establishment. So many other bars and restaurants in the area to visit. Have been in here more and more over the past few years and have nothing but good experiences. Thursday they have live music that puts you in a good mood. If your hungry, check out the specials menu, because you never know when you might not have a chance to try whatever catches your eye. (There's always the duck tacos to fall back on.) I recently enjoyed a football Sunday in here. The redzone was on for all updates and the sound on for the patriots game. Our server, Jody, was fantastic and the buff garlic Parmesan wings were crisp and delicious. Their beers are constantly rotating and the people are genuine just like the bartenders. I have seen over the years changes being made like simplifying the menu and broadening beer selection. They put a lot of efforts in their food menus and their specials, you think they'll serve this standard "bar food" but They go extra miles to make the plates nice and different from what you usually can get from Bar around the area!! Didn't know the restaurant was reopened until recently. Went in on a Saturday afternoon and thought food was generally good but VERY SLOW service despite only having few customers there. Thankfully waitress was nice and so we thought we'd try it again. Went back second time tonight and yet AGAIN, VERY VERY SLOW. There's only so much that good food can make up for. If you have to wait forever for that food, is it really worth it? Three stars for food. Zero stars for slow service. read more
