Garbage service and food. Food came and hour and a half late. Order was incomplete. Call them back states will have the delivery guy come back after he get to his other orders. NO you are suppose to deliver to me first because my order is incomplete and it was over an hour late. Food was disgusting. Stay away if you want your food on time that is atleast above average. Lite Bites is the type of place where the burden of service is the customer's fault. I have never felt as much of a villain for patronizing a restaurant as I did today, at Lite Bites. After placing a phone call for a pickup order, I walked a few blocks only to wait in line for 20 minutes (for pickup) while online orders and other phone orders were HEAVILY prioritized over my pickup order. Lite Bites, I apologize for trying to order from your restaurant, you will surely never see my business again. On a side note, their waiting area is absolutely terrible. Breakfast sandwiches cost well over $4.00 for items on a roll, on the pricey side for very plain ingredients. I used to enjoy coming here when I first moved to the neighborhood. Two instances have left me completely grossed out 1) Last year I ordered one of the rice bowls that is meant to come with boneless chicken breast, and found a bone in my rice... why? 2) Fast forward a year later, figured hey let me give this place another chance. I visit Lite Bites at least four times a week. I spend my mornings there happy as a clam. Service is fantastic, my coffee cup is never empty, and the prices are unbeatable. I feel many of the complaints here are relevant to delivery orders, which can get confusing no matter what restaurant you are ordering from. While I'm sitting there eating my meal, the phone rings probably four hundred times, and somehow that one fast-paced lady can deal with three calls waiting, multiple people ordering food to go in person at the counter, riling up a delivery boy, and communicating the orders to the kitchen staff. She is a superhero. And above juggling all of that, she is nice (will always ask how I am doing, knows how I like my coffee) and she is FAST. I can't believe she is so sweet after dealing with so much for so long day after day. My server Robin is always calm, helpful and considerate. She is non-intrusive and yet still very attentive, my ideal type of server. I would be utterly lost without Lite Bites. read more

I definitely was unimpressed with my experience at Lite Bites. First off I ordered a lemonade which was served in plastic cups with lids and no ice. Secondly I ordered a burger deluxe with steak fries. The burger was over cooked and believe it or not they didn't even have steak sauce. The fries were over cooked as well. i liked this place so much i'd let it sit on my face... i dont remember exactly what i had because i was going green before i went in, but i do remember that i was smiling from ear to ear after each bite... i also have to say that the service was excellent as well, not necessarily the reason to go but a nice perk... i'll go back next time im in the neighborhood. read more

They have great flavored coffee and a good assortment of diner foods. My only complaint is they keep giving me American cheese when i ask for cheddar. But I'm still giving them 4 stars because they are heads and shoulders above the manhattan 3 decker diner across the street. read more

Zero stars! This place is horrible! :/ The staff does not listen to your order. Most of the time when I ordered from this place they got my order wrong. When I explain it to them that they got my order wrong they blamed me that I didn't specify (which I clearly did). Not only that each time I go there I get charged different prices! i just wanted to add to the chorus of complaints about their delivery. like other reviewers, i was really pleased and impressed at how fast it came. but also like the other reviewers, there was a fuck up in my order. a sandwich purporting to have grilled chicken, watercress and roasted red peppers came with the first two but in the place of the red peppers were TOMATOES! i might be stuck in the third grade, but i fucking hate tomatoes and i would never have ordered anything with a menu description including tomatoes. read more

This place is ok. The people here could be more friendly except the older waitress with dark hair she can have a conversation. The menu is large and has a little bit of everything but I agree with some other reviews the food used to be better. Been here a few times and each time I say I will never go back, but after yesterday, I really mean it. I ordered an egg and cheese and I asked the woman if they had bialys and she said yes. So I ordered it on a bialy. She didn't say anything about it. Next thing I know, I am paying over $4.00 for a $3.00 sandwich. When I balked, she said a bialy is .85 extra. I said you should of told me that, as I have never paid extra for such a thing. She said those are the prices in this neighborhood. Well, I live in this neighborhood--I am not some clueless tourist. This is not what an egg and cheese costs at a deli, which is what this place essentially is. When I go to Russ & Daughters, a tasty and expensive place on the LES, they do not charge me extra for a bialy. Also, what I got at Lite Bites was not even a bialy. It was just as big and heavy as a bagel, which would've saved me a buck! The time before this visit, I ordered a cobb salad to go with chicken. By the time I got home and opened it, there was no chicken. It was basically an overpriced plastic container of romaine and bacon. Forget this place! read more

high volume clip joint... . bland undercooked omelet.. the "fresh squeezed " orange juice was mostly pulp and seeds. the toast wasnt really toasted .... the homefries.. bland mushy slop . the crew uninspired and rude. My bill came out to 9.75. I tried to pay with a credit card but the clerk told me it had to be over 10 to use a credit card . I then bought some rice pudding because I just wanted to get out from this claustrophobic stinky hell hole. The rice pudding was basically donkey excrement and the coffee tasted like elephant piss. BTW.. the bathroom was urine soaked and the chefs were operating within arms length of this. One of the chefs took a crap and I'm pretty sure I didnt hear a faucet running... As I write this, I am drooling on the verge of nausea. I am definitley going to be throwing up at some point today. If I could give this place negative stars, I would. Disclaimer: I don't even have a Yelp account nor have I ever taken the time to write a review, but the service at Lite Bites was so terrible that I felt compelled to make one just to write this review. Now, I'm very understanding when it comes to delivery delays but I'm definitely not okay with rude customer service. Today, after seeing that my food had not arrived by the estimated delivery time, I called the restaurant and very politely asked what the status of my order was. The woman who answered the phone was very nice at first but it did not take too long before her whole attitude changed. After telling me the food was already on the way she then said it hadn't left and that the restaurant was backed up only to, once again, change her answer and say that it would be there soon, interrupting me before I even got a chance to ask her to clarify and then flat out hanging up on me. I called again, being as I still was unsure of my food's status, and when she picked up she berated and spoke over me the whole time, and then hung up once again. I called a third time, wanting to ask for a manager, and no one responds. I had to call from another phone to get somebody to answer and when they do, it's her again and when she realizes it's me, she starts yelling at me again and starts saying rude things about me in Spanish, my native language. That's when I quickly stop her in her tracks and manage to ask for a manager to which responds that he's too busy, then she says he's not there, and then she tells me that he'll put him on only to answer the phone herself and then proceed to hang up on me, once again. This review doesn't even begin to cover how rude they were. I even had to call grub hub to ask for a refund being as there was no way to reason with this lady. NEVER order from Lite Bites. read more
