Great company to work with, we used them on a custom outdoor kitchen project to design the island and source most of the components and the aluminum frame. Karla was very helpful in selecting various components and very accommodating in the many component and CAD iterations it took to get everything just right. Highly recommend them, especially if you are your own "general contractor" as a homeowner. I installed the frame and the components myself, and coordinated with my own plumber, electrician, and granite contractors. I installed the outdoor kitchen island over a year ago, and everything is working great with almost daily use. My only gripe is with Graysen Woods, the company that makes the aluminum outdoor kitchen frame. Instead of welding on the countertop overhang supports, they simple bolt the support on, with all bolts in single line parallel to the ground. This makes the support basically useless for supporting granite. If you are considering a graysen woods frame with a counter overhang, I would ask them to either weld the overhang support, or ask them leave a gap in the cement board so you can add your own 90 degree support bracket. Second, their leveling shims are terrible and didn't look like they'd hold up at all, so I ended up fabricating my own from aluminum. read more

Easiest review I've ever written. Found the BBQ online I wanted. Memphis Elite. Memphis Grills recommended this reseller. I called on Monday and needed the BBQ by today Saturday. Minnie is the absolute best. She is a top tier Sales / Customer Service person. I was pleasantly surprised by the entire process. She was able to coordinate the air freight to have the BBQ delivered by Friday. They assembled it and delivered first thing on Saturday morning. Not only that but they gave me a welcome basket with Meat Claws, BBQ Gloves, Spices, 28 lb bag of my choice of premium pellets, 20 lb bag of Memphis pellets, AND a grill cover. The Elite grill is not discounted. Go to Amazon / Google and you'll see its not a discounted item. Those places like Amazon don't give you all the goodies Minnie gave me for FREE. I Just happened to pass by Unique Outdoor Living next to Loayzas' We immediately saw the many completed BBQ islands, and fireplaces. Sean and Rose (the owner) was very ward and inviting. They answered questions, very helpful but not pushy. They know a lot about the products and ones that are similar and can suggest alternatives. I came back once again, and they remembered me. Again, I was scoping out for a big purchase. They gave me some prices in several models. We came back a week later ready to rock. We agreed on the best price ( $90 less thank BBQ Galore. Moved on to a burner. They had one, and extra in stock - "they will give me a good deal on it" and boy did they! PIcked up some stainless drawers and a fridge for under our budget and had enough money to pull an impulse buy - a Sole Wood fired Pizza Oven! The service here is what one that you would expect from a family run operation. They know you will be back sometime, or tell your friends. Free delivery for me and a quick leadtime - just a couple days. Barbecue Galore told me 6 weeks for the same BBQ. I think they were just trying to get me to buy it today, or soon, otherwise it wouldn't be there for construction. A salesmen's scam. Didn't fall for it, went to Unique outdoor Living. The first time you go to Unique Outdoor Living you'll feel like you're off the side of a side road on the way to Alice's Restaurant . . . but it's worth every turn of your steering wheel because what greets you is a complete outdoor living store set, not surprisingly, mostly outdoors. Better yet, the customer service level offered by proprietor Sean McElhone is peerless. My initial contacts with Sean resulted in a well-designed and equipped barbecue kitchen for our new home, based on a unique aluminum framing system that made it easy for our contractor to assemble and install. Everything was designed well and delivered exactly on time. But there was to be more. We had purchased a gas firepit from another vendor and had a lot of trouble making it work right. The manufacturer, the dealer, and the plumber all threw up their hands claiming no responsibility for the pits unsatisfactory performance. So I called Sean who spent the time to look up the specs and suggest some equipment changes that I could do. That helped but did not completely solve the problem, so he sent his plumber who found the problem and fixed it on a Friday afternoon. Mind you, he had to travel over 35 miles through weekend traffic to get to my place. Do Not Use these people!!! Their product and services are crappy. I paid over $3000 dollars for a fire pit from them almost 2 years ago. During the installation process they screwed up and delayed it getting done. Heck their stucco guy did a crappy job on the base of the fire pit. Well about 3 weeks into it being completed I noticed there was a crack in the granite countertop. The crack grew over the past year and I decided it was time to replace it with something more durable. I went through a new company and they just came out to remove the old top. It popped right off. Plus they put concrete under the countertop. No wonder it was off balance, easy to remove, and cracking. That was a waste of money and time. Please do not use these people... Sean has been superb to work with (!) - very friendly (not pushy) and very knowledgeable with very fair prices. I had stopped into BBQ Galore in Palo Alto where we bought a 48in grill 17 years ago. It was clear that this was no longer the place it was in its heyday. So a friend, who had recently bought a Fire Magic grill from Sean, recommended that I go meet with him. We had just moved into a new home with [literally] dirt for a backyard so I had a blank slate to work from. And I wanted a full outdoor kitchen, not just a grill. My setup was to include a grill, refrigerator, sink, cabinets, drawers, and, of course, a custom island built to house all of these items. From the start Sean was great to work with. He helped me design an L-shaped island including exact dimensions I wanted so spacing between items would be perfect (btw: the Greyson aluminum frame with the backerboard product he provides is great. Even our hardscape contractor and granite stone fabricator loved it; I highly recommend it). Together we chose the grill (Alfresco 36in), refrigerator (True) and other components. The process was very efficient and smooth - Sean was very responsive with both cell phone messages and emails - whether from my questions or issues that needed to be addressed. This review is long overdue as we bought our Delta BBQ grill about a year ago. We did a lot of research and went to most of the BBQ shops in the whole Bay Area. Unique certainly had one of the largest collections of high quality grills. Not only did we get the best price that we could find, Sean provided excellent services from ordering to delivery to afterwards, when there was an electrical issue with the grill (turned out there's a loose connection internally), and Sean followed through closely throughout the process to have the manufacturer's servicing department look into the issues. Unique is a very good name for this store because they not only have a wide selection of patio furniture, grills, and other outdoor accessories, but they also have uncommonly great service. Sean is just a great guy. He is very patient and diligent about following up. He does not pressure you and will provide you with an education on grill features and quality. You can see that they have a family business and pride themselves on that. The prices are reasonable. Though you can spend a ridiculous amount of money on their high end stuff, they have a range of quality to meet your budget. I would say they do not carry cheap stuff you can buy at Costco. If you want Costco, go to Costco. Then go again in a few years and buy more Costco. I bought great quality furniture, an umbrella, a fire pit, and a mid-level grill. I have worked several times with Sean at Unique Outdoors, and I can't say enough about his resourcefulness, and his ability to get you the best price on the merchandise, he sells. I have purchased standing lanterns one year, and a beautiful Cantiliver umbrella another year. The lanterns fire igniter went out and they helped replace them. After two years of having the umbrella, it got jammed. Sean went out of his way to connect me with the manufacture to trouble shoot the problem. They were able to help me fix what was going on. I would say that , that type of customer service is impressive! He could have sent me on my way especially because it had been two years since we bought the umbrella, but he didn't. I first went to Unique Outdoor Living looking for a built in grill for my new BBQ Island. They have a great selection of grills on display, and their pricing was the lowest I found (even lower than online). Sean was very helpful: knowledgeable about the products, and willing to take as much time as needed to answer questions. I ended up with a Fire Magic grill and accessories, which I'm very happy with. We went back a couple months later to get some barstools. While they don't have a great variety of furniture in the store, they have some good representative samples from the different lines they sell. Sean and Tracy took the time to go through the catalogs with us, and called the manufacturers when we had questions on things that weren't spelled out in the catalog. Again, the pricing was better than anywhere else we looked. The first was when I bought my Primo XL from him in August - he was very knowledgeable and made the purchase/delivery process extremely easy. Although Sean was plenty busy, he very patiently and competently helped me figure out replacement grill options for our existing BBQ island. When it became apparent that some retrofitting would be necessary, he called Eddy over from Loayza's adjacent office. They had a plan and a tentative quote for me before I left the store, came out to measure and confirm, and had my new outdoor kitchen installed in less than 3 weeks. Fantastic! A minor followup adjustment to the electrical configuration was dealt with immediately.
