This is exactly the kind of hole in the wall lunch spot you'll miss if you're not paying attention. I literally drove past it twice before realizing it was right there. It's also one of those "if you know, you know" places, and clearly people know, because the to-go orders were nonstop. The second you walk in, you're hit with cases of fresh baked bread, and pastries. The almond pistachio croissant was the biggest one I've ever seen and had me drooling before I even placed my order. It is counter service, and I went with a Mediterranean sandwich with chicken while my lunch date got a classic BLT. Both were incredible, super fresh ingredients, excellent flavor, and next level fresh bread/ flatbread. Try the sourdough ! You can tell this place is legit because you see everyone in there from construction workers, people, in scrubs, law-enforcement, executives, all grabbing lunch. When that many hard-working people trust a spot, you know it's got to be good. If you're in Garland, add this place to your must try list. It is an excellent lunch spot.

So right off the back this place does not look like much from the outside and once you walk in there is nothing special about it, but you can tell it's a very clean restaurant and the service is amazing. They're so nice friendly and helpful now let's get to the food! this food here is really good!!! Macaroni and cheese : it was good. 6.5/10 Potato salad : ok 5/10 Baked potato soup : super good 10/10 Birria melt: surprisingly good 9/10 Chimichurri steak sandwich : 10/10 Pineapple kale smoothie : 5/10 I prefer more pineapple taste Agua de Jamaica :9/10 one of the best I've had taste like it's actually made from Jamaica and I just made from powder So overall, the food here is really good. Can't wait to go back and try other food here. The only bad thing is this place is a little too far from me, but if I'm in the area, I will stop here guaranteed

I think I have found my sandwich place! Loved the pita bread here, tried their Mediterranean sandwich which was so flavorful and the best part was the bread! Clean and quality food, the salad was really fresh! Good service and a nice cozy ambiance for a nice lunch or breakfast! Highly recommend this place if you love sandwiches and quality food!

Cute and cozy place. Went around lunch and the place was packed. Customer service was friendly and attentive even through the lunch rush! There is an area for to go orders that make picking up seamless and easy. Cookies and pastries looked amazing but I didn't get one, next time for sure! I got the brisket bowl and the portions didn't disappoint! All the ingredients were fresh and flavorful. The agua fresca was a perfect pairing.

There is some seating inside, but I ordered to-go the Barbacoa Melt / Birria (slow cooked brisket, mushrooms, pickled onions, jalapeno, swiss cheese, beef broth, sourdough bread). It was delicious, but the bread was burnt so I had to scrape off some big pieces of it. Otherwise, everything was fresh and the beef broth came in a side sauce container to dip in. They even had samples available of their focaccia, which was nice and fluffy.

Fresh good ingredients. I typed in wraps and this came up so I got the turkey avocado wrap and the southwest chipotle chicken wrap. Also two berry smoothies. Everything was so fresh and good, presentation was cute in the little box. Smoothie was blended well and tasted great. They took my order and they had some nice cold lemon water while I waited. I came around the later end of lunch on Friday. It was busy, and I see why. The staff is friendly and accommodating. The ingredients are fresh. The pineapple kale smoothie is as good as it's going to get, but I truly enjoyed my turkey sandwich and baked potato soup. The soup was very rich and velvety. This place is a neighborhood gem.

This place is a hidden gem! I came here for a Yelp Elite event and I'm so glad that I did. I arrived on a busy Monday afternoon, still there was hardly any wait and I was promptly assisted. This is a small cafe filled with mostly high tops and a few tables. I was handed a number while my food was prepared. I opted for the Birria Melt. It comes with a side of consome. I also ordered a vanilla iced latte. The latte was ok could've been sweeter but the coffee itself definitely perked me up!The birria melt was absolutely delicious !! The sourdough was perfectly grilled and buttery so delicious. It had the perfect amount of meat and cheese ratio ! So so good! There are tons of other options that sound delicious so I will definitely be returning.

Lito's Kitchen did not disappoint! The whole experience was faster than it took me to get here lol, and it was worth it. I got the barbacoa birria melt, baked potato soup and a banana-berry smoothie. Everything came out within 5 mins, and it all tasted so fresh! I definitely want to come back and try other sandwiches on the menu, and that pineapple-kale smoothie. The lady at the register was very nice and friendly. The dining area wasn't very busy but a lot of traffic came in and out during our short visit. I'd definitely make the drive again to try something else as I have no doubt it's all delicious!

This is a definitely a hidden gem. Doesn't look like a restaurant at all and looks to be a loner amongst random business buildings. But once you go in, people are friendly, fresh desserts and breads are on display and decor is very Texan. I ordered a pineapple and kale smoothie which was FREAKING AMAZING. I also ordered a salmon bowl. I can't really review this because I didn't like the look of it, so I didn't eat it.

Ended up coming here on a Saturday morning for a quick breakfast and ended up with the Grilled Chicken Sandwich, Mac and Cheese and a Banna Berry Smoothie. The staff was very welcoming and help me get to my decision with their wonderful recommendations. The Grilled Chicken sandwich has an entire chicken breast, bacon, avocado, chipotle mayo, lettuce and tomatoes It was filling, tasted great and didn't leave me feeling sluggish afterwards. The Mac and Cheese was a great side that complimented the sandwich. The smoothie was my favorite and I only wish I had gotten another. This place is a great hidden gem for the area for anyone trying to get lunch during the week. read more

Best sandwich I've had in the Dfw area! The bread was to die for, and the ingredients were popping with flavor! I got the Italian sandwich and my wife got the turkey avocado, both were impressive. The employees were nice and the food came out fast. The price wasn't terrible, but I understand they do need to make a profit. About $22 for just 2 sandwiches, but worth every penny. We will definitely come back read more

I've been to Lito's Kitchen many times and am glad it's not nearer to my home in Irving, or else I'd spend way too much money here! The restaurant itself is located in an industrial area, so you can easily miss it since it's a tiny portion of a tiny commercial strip. I really like any sandwich with their chicken, but their Cuban is also good. The Italian sandwich is a bit salty for my taste, but I think most other people would enjoy the saltiness more than I do. Try to not come after 2pm because they sometimes run out of ingredients- which is a testament to how good the food is! read more

Every sandwich I have gotten from here has been incredible. You can order ahead and pick up to go, if time is an issue. Or eat it there, but get there early. They are busy. I highly recommend Lito's. read more

Good sandwiches & smoothies! Came here for lunch today with my wife, she recommended this place that she's ordered from before but had not actually dined in. We received a warm greeting as soon as we ran in from the crazy rainy weather. I ordered the Cuban Sandwich w/Mac & Cheese on the side. My wife had already ate spread at work so just ordered a Pineapple Kale Smoothie. The order did take a bit longer than expected to get to our table but it was lunch time & relatively busy (also when I'm borderline "hangry" time seems so much longer). Once food was on the table it definitely tasted freshly made & flavorful. I was also pleasantly surprised just how good the Pineapple Kale Smoothie tasted! This location also has all kinds of sayings on the walls which make for fun reading. Best part about the visit was how staff greeted all customers both when they arrived & before they left. They stopped by our table as well to make sure everything was good. Very good customer service & good quality food, will definitely be back. read more

This small restaurant happened to be close to my job and I was looking for a quick light lunch. I ordered the tuna melt based on a few recommendations on Yelp and it was exactly what I was hoping for. Crispy bread, melted cheese, and delicious tuna. DO NOT pay cash here because the daughter of the owner will not give your change back. When ask why, she tells me because they are out of quarters. I paid cash for two cookies, no returned change. I paid cash for a drink, no returned change. I never been to a place that keeps your change until now. Their food is good but I don't like this type of stealing from customers. Update: I am glad that young lady does not work there anymore because what she did was so wrong. You're food is very good! read more

Love supporting local business, especially when their food is delicious! Ingredients are fresh and oh so very healthy! It's a hole in the wall and they don't disappoint! We tried multiple sandwiches and I think the Reuben was my favorite! Hummus as an appetizer w/naan bread was also delicious. The Cuban sandwich was also so good and not greasy at all! To finish it all I had a cup of fruit smoothie topped with yogurt and fresh fruit! Definitely recommend this place! read more

I've lost count of how many times I've had lunch here and I've never been disappointed. I work at a nearby business, so it's not unusual for me to visit Lito's at least once a week. The restaurant is clean, the food is delicious, and the staff is always friendly. It's clear Angel takes pride in his restaurant and I'm happy to continue supporting this business. Best sandwich place in Dallas that you've never hear of, and may never visit. We were lucky enough to find out about this spot when we moved to highland meadows. Incredibly good sandwiches with great ingredients. They even bake their own sourdough which rivals the best bakeries in Dallas. Very weird location in a tired old industrial/commercial strip in garland, but don't let that hold you back. Go get a Ruben, the Barbacoa melt, or the Cuban and compare the price and quality to your favorite sandwich place. You will be amazed. read more

UGHHHHH WHERE DO I START Okay- I've been meaning to visit here for a good while. Is saw the awesome yelp reviews and wanted to visit. This is where I ran into some issues. Lito's is only open 6:30AM-5PM Monday-Friday. WHYYY, these are the times i work!:( I finally escaped work early one day and I ordered the chicken sandwich w/ no bacon. OHMYGOD. the reviewers ain't lying, this is some GOOD food. I felt so bad I ordered right after work and arrived at 5:02. The lady who works their did not look happy at all. She even told me "we were waiting for you" ): I'm truly sorry I really want to visit and sit down and eat here but I have conflicting schedules with this place. They would make sooo much money if they were open weekends! Lito's please consider closing 30 mins later so i can buy your food more! read more

I thought this might be a good option to grab a quick lunch but I was sadly mistaken. Terrible customer service. I placed my order on door dash scheduled for what should have been a quick and easy pick up. Instead I was spoken to in a very rude manner. Hassled and hounded for proof of purchase of my online order. I would have gladly wasted my time rummaging through my phone however this woman spoke to me like I was attempting to snatch and dash out for a free meal. I was tempted to initiate a full refund and leave my order on the counter. Would not recommend. The salad wasn't worth it either. read more

Healthy options! Yes! Hard to find in Garland! They offer free iced water with watermelon in it! Seems clean and well maintained! First time here. I ordered tortilla soup with chicken and Caesar salad(it has kale and romaine lettuce! And hummus with vegetables. Great local restaurant and it's open until 5pm on weekdays. Ok so I don't recommend the tortilla soup. It's got chopped up frozen chicken breast with round tortilla chips thrown in it. Doesn't taste homemade. Very disappointed and it was served in a styrofoam bowl and a plastic spoon. Would have preferred a real bowl and metal silverware. read more

Was not real impressed. Tried the Rueben.. It was "ok" but I've had WAY better in Dallas! (Humperdinks Ruben is twice as good quality wise.. and a much better value for the buck..) Was going to get fries with it... and they only do "air cooked" french fries...(to be "healthy") WTF??? Nasty! I opted for their "in house made potato salad" instead, which was VERY GOOD I must admit... but $2.50 for a teeny container that was gone in 3 bites? Are you kidding me? Rip Off! Nope... Won't be back. Go to Deli News or Humperdinks for a REAL sandwich!!!! read more

We were in the area about lunch time and we are not very familiar with local lunch restaurants. As usual, Yelp helped us out. Lito's Kitchen was a short distance away and it had good marks on Yelp. We found out the 5 stars are well deserved. Nothing fancy here but the food is excellent, the place is spotless and the staff are friendly and efficient. I had the Cuban sandwich and my friend had the turkey sandwich. Both were great. I am looking for an excuse to be in the area so I can bring my wife here. read more

Lito’s Kitchen offers a diverse menu featuring sandwiches, soups, salads, bowls, and an array artisanal sourdough bread. Our menu showcases a fusion of international and local flavors. We take pride in baking our bread daily using whole-grain flours and free from any preservatives. To ensure the highest quality, we make everything in-house, including mayonnaise, to avoid refined and hydrogenated oils. Our sandwiches are crafted with 100% real butter, and our dressings are prepared with olive oil.

Prepared quickly, from scratch with passion. Lito’s Kitchen isn’t your average sandwich joint. Located in Garland, Texas, this New American eatery puts their own unique spin on known favorites like the Cuban, patty melt, and a Reuben that can rival with the best of them. For owner Angel Villatoro and his wife Flor, the biggest push in starting Lito’s was time and family. After working as a chef in the corporate world for many years, Villatoro wanted to be able to do what he loved and still have the ability to spend time with their daughter, Alexandra. “I wasn’t able to do that before, there were no flexible weekends,” he explains. It’s cozy here. Almost like being at your mother’s table. The open kitchen lends itself to a quaint familiarity and comfort. It’s the kind of place where regulars are remembered and everyone is appreciated.

Meet the Business Owner: Angel V.

After working as a chef in the corporate world for many years, I wanted to be able to do what I loved and still have the ability to spend time with my Family. I wanted to be away from the fine dining scene and simply create good food. My goal in creating Lito's was to make that food accessible for everyone working in this area. I realized that there was a need for a place to provide a variety menu items, from healthy sandwiches, salads and sides, to comfort foods like our Rueben and burgers. With its varied population, I thought Garland would be an excellent place to bring this dream to fruition. I always knew I wanted to start my own business. I started cooking at the age of 14, at a family owned restaurant in Addison TX. I made my way up working at different restaurants and hotels. Lito's hopes to continue to provide food for as long as possible. We believe good food should always be accessible, no matter what. We hope to continue to bring people together,1 sandwich, 1 salad n 1 smie

Super creamy, cozy, and flavorful -- honestly the best tomato basil soup I've ever had. Perfect comfort food, especially on a cold day. The Cuban sandwich was another winner. The carnitas were savory and delicious, and the pickled veggies added just the right amount of acidity to balance out the richness. Every bite had a great mix of flavors. I also tried the jicama agua fresca, which was really refreshing. Light, crisp, and not overly sweet -- a perfect drink to go with the meal. The only letdown was the BLT.
