I LOVE First Watch. This location has more seating than the one on East Campbell road really close by. First Watch is, in fact, popular enough for business at two locations right near each other, especially on Sundays with the post church crowd. It was surprisingly and pleasantly not too crowded on my visit on a Saturday closer to 1. The food came out so quickly, and our waitress was amazing friendly. The restaurant feels so comforting and warm inside. The Healthy Turkey egg white omelet is my go to. I'm obsessed with their hearty toast and like subbing the fresh fruit for the tomatoes. This is perfect fuel for before or after a good long run/ workout. It is solid is protein and doesn't sit heavy at all. Some of my favorite memories are at First Watches around the DFW area. This location is a great one and probably my most frequented of all! First Watch is always super consistent in their food quality, which I also appreciate. read more

Steve at first watch was very accommodating. We had a party of 14 that quickly turned into 17 and he didn't give us a hard time about adjusting the headcount. The food is really good. I love their protein bowls, the pesto and chicken and lemon go really well together. However, our iced coffee was super milky and sweet and had a strange milk after taste. But our waiter was super kind and offered another one and even a cup of plain black coffee to mix it up a little bit. The staff are super nice and take good care of you. Good spot! read more

Love the food, it's fresh and unique! The price is a bit steep for breakfast and lunch however they do serve big portions. The service is pretty good. They use a system to pay your check using your phone which can be convenient for some, however when the server drops off the check sometimes the service ends. For the new or infrequent guest they are not informed how to pay the check and this can a bit frustrating. Overall I'll return but it won't be a regular spot for me for breakfast. read more

Came by this First Watch location with my husband and some friends for Sunday brunch and had some pretty solid food! I ordered the BLT eggs benedict with potatoes, and my husband got the lemon ricotta pancakes with a side of cheesy grits. Others in our party picked the farmhouse hash and the coconut chia seed pudding, and most of us got juices. The large freshly-squeezed orange juice comes with a generous pour even if you ask for no ice, and the BLT eggs benedict had some very solid flavors. Bacon was super crispy, and the dressed arugula was nice and peppery but not too tart. My one quibble with the dish was that the poached eggs had pretty hard yolks and were lukewarm in the center - I wonder if it was just a batch that happened to be overcooked? I would've liked the potatoes crispier too, but that's probably something I can ask the kitchen to do next time. The lemon ricotta pancakes were quite excellent; the pancakes themselves were super light and fluffy, and the lemon curd had a great tang. The portion was also huge. Grits were very nice and super cheesy. Servers were attentive and helpful throughout. One friend is celiac and our server was very helpful in making sure that their gluten free bread was toasted in a dedicated pan separate from anything with gluten. We called in to get on the wait list around 11:45 on a Saturday. Said 20-30 min wait. I showed up at around 12pm. Checked in. Went to the bathroom where I found it completely messy and unsanitary. It was disgusting. I attached a pic. That had probably been there awhile. While I was washing my hands I made eye contact w an employee that just walked out the door after being in a stall. Was looking around and hoping she wasn't a server but didn't think a job w unwashed hands in the kitchen would be much better. Never saw her again. We were seated about an hour after I checked in. There were plenty of tables open. I think they were just short staffed and every interaction whether it be w the greeter for seating or our server was rushed. They are way understaffed. The coffee cups were dirty at our table, w either paper or something inside them. took probably 5-10 min to get greeted at the table and we waited a longer time than usual for our food. Once received, my friend asked for salsa for which she was told they only have pico. She decided she'd go w the avocado mash instead but it wasn't brought back til she was over halfway thru her meal. the servers were so busy and frantic we couldn't flag anyone down for about 10-15 min. Once we got our servers attention she did bring it back quickly. We used to come here a lot but the service, sanitation and evidently being short staffed will make this the last time. My go-to order is their BLT Benedict, which includes bacon, avocado, egg, and arugula on toasted ciabatta bread! Other standouts on the menu include the Belgian waffle, the Traditional Breakfast, and the Chickichanga. Despite being a busy brunch spot, I'm always treated kindly by the service staff, and my food is served promptly. There's rarely a wait, but if there is, the staff keeps the line moving quickly. Luckily the Richardson location also has an ample amount of seating, including an outdoor patio which is wonderful on breezy days. Brought my granddaughter in for the 1st day of Springbreak breakfast. She order chocolate chip pancakes & a mango, passion palmer..she said it tasted like "vacation"! She LOVED it!! She said the ham was delicious too. I ordered a blueberry pancake, bacon & orange juice. The pancakes are huge. They were pretty good. I did NOT care for the orange juice, it had a chalky aftertaste that made me gag. We had a great waiter, Nathan. Knowledgeable, funny, attentive. During COVID its been great that you can put your name on the list in advance. When we got there we were up and only waited 5 minutes for us to get sat at the table. Thank you for that First Watch! Had our niece and nephew so there was 5 of us. Kids had the typical breakfast but they loved it. Wife enjoyed the avocado eggs Benedict which have always been a favorite of hers. This place is good but overpriced. It replaced the egg and I which was much better, so it's sad they decided to build this one not even 8 minutes from the first one in Richardson. Their waits are always too long and their service is ok. But it's one of the only non diner places around for brunch. They nickel and dime you on ingredients and have really cracked down with replacing with other sides. Service is usually ok. But can be frustrating when they're busy. The rating is pretty much a spot on. I ordered the BLT eggs Benedict which comes with a side salad...for breakfast? The salad had a lemon dressing on it which wasn't bad but odd. The eggs Benedict was just okay but over cooked (not much yoke). All in all for a $40 breakfast for two we won't go back. This place is new and has a pretty aesthetic. Being a fan of their other restaurant locations. I decided to give this place a try. Their wait staff was friendly and service was quick and accurate. They even have a way to let you join the wait list online ahead of time to speed up wait times during busy hours. I am not sure if it was just the menu for this place, but the amount of items offered seemed to lessened slightly and prices are slightly higher. I ordered the Ham and Cheese Gruyere melt with the broccoli cheddar soup. The sandwich had a bold essence of mustard which I mixed with the sandwich well. The soup however tasted a bit off. I never had a broccoli cheddar that tasted sour. I'm not sure if it's because of the cheese they use or why it was. My gf enjoyed her waffle with the warm syrup provided. The biscuit and gravy was alright but it was hard to finish. The gravy was super peppery to the point where it was spicy and makes you choke up a bit. For the portion size and everything included, $30 seems a bit steep. The lunch special they offer isn't enough to fill you unlike other sandwich places, so we had to order something else to fill up. TLDR; The service and ambience is 10/10. The food is a hit or miss depending on what you order. Pricing is a little bit high for what is offered but not totally unreasonable. The worst. There was a long hair in my french toast. I called and spoke with the manager Victoria who said she'd let the cook staff know. I told her I was not looking for anything but just thought she'd want to know and she thanked me and insisted, more that once, on giving me a refund. As it turned out, she did not refund me which told me she just said this and did not take being informed of something so disgusting and reportable serious enough. In the meantime others were seated and served. So we decided to leave - the manage me saw us walking but made no attempt to ask why. Then I thought let me give feedback directly. So called for the manager to give feedback. There was no apology or humility from this person. Anyway - clearly this location isn't really concerned. I can also guess why we were seated away from the others. I'll wait to see if they reach out to see if they have a learning moment. Anyway- I'd stay away.
