I had the Philly cheesesteak at Little Arthur's Hoagies, and it was incredible. The flavor was outstanding, the meat was perfectly cooked, and everything came together for one of the better cheesesteaks I've had. The portion was massive--you could honestly split it with someone and both leave satisfied. It also came with a side of fries, which was a nice bonus and rounded out the meal perfectly. The only downside was finding the place. It's located inside a brewery, and that wasn't clearly mentioned on the website, so it took a little extra searching. A heads-up online would make the experience much smoother for first-time visitors. Overall, the food more than made up for the minor inconvenience. It's a bit of a challenge to find, but so worth it! After having friends tell us about it, we set out for a sandwich not a brewery. Nice we could get both! Little Arthur's is set inside the Out of the Barrel Taproom in 7th & Sherman St in Capitol Hill. The sign is set back over the door, so it's hard to see it driving by. Inside is a nice casual brewery that carries some incredible Little Arthur's food. Staff was helpful, though we pretty much knew we had to try the Classic Cheesesteak. Whoa! It's a very large sandwich, so good thing we shared. Had some fries as well. Spouse had a beer & I had a fresh brewed root beer. It was SO good. I missed the memo that this was in a tap room and walked past it 3 times before I looked at the address specifically and walked in to see a little hand written sign that says Little Arthur's located here. At last I found it and was finally going to try these giant sandwiches I see on social media. We sat at the bar and ordered a beer each. I will say neither of us liked our beers. They were kind of gross. But that isn't Little Arthur's fault. My husband and I decided to split the philly, just like it comes and he added peppers on the side because I am not a fan. I will say when we sat down there were 2 other people in the place. By the time we got our drinks and ordered food there was a line of 20 people trying to order. It came in a massive wave. We got there just in time. It did take quite a while to get our sandwich. Like, for being only 4 people in the whole place when we ordered food it should have been faster. But once we did get our sandwich it was phenomenal. I like the seeded bread and how soft it was. I hate hard bread. The meat was tender and covered in gooey cheese. Great sandwich. Coming from the East Coast, I've been trying to find my go-to sandwich spots all over Denver/Boulder. Little Arthur's has been on my list for awhile and I was so excited to see they also branched out and expanded the menu to include pizza and other rotating specials. The pizza was super good. It reminded me of childhood pizza parties back in NJ. The cheese was delicious and perfectly melty and the crust had great flavor. A really solid plain pie. The cheesesteak was what I was most excited about having seen the mouth-watering photos pop up on my Instagram feed. I will say the bread and meat are really fresh and good quality and the portion is great (which I'd hope with a $20+ sandwich). My only gripe was that maybe it had too much seasoning. Not a deal breaker, just a little salty for my liking. I would definitely get it again and just make sure I have a huge glass of water to wash it down. Went here the other day for my first time and it was outstanding. The Taproom location is nice, great beers on tap and friendly bar service. Clean and plenty of open seating. I did the Wednesday cheesesteak special, so a massive sandwich with fries for $20. This thing was so good and absolutely packed to the brim with meat, cheese, and onions. No small portions here. Flavor was so good too. Nice balance from the sharp cheese and the grilled onions. Really phenomenal flavor. Saw some comments about the price. Frankly, it was fairly priced in my opinion given the quality of the food and the portion. Everything is scratch made, not greasy. Bread is perfectly cooked and great flavor. Little arthur is the definition of artisan hoagies! This place had been on my radar for so long and I'm kicking myself. I didn't get over there sooner! They are a pop-up so you've got to follow them on social media to keep up with where they will be from week to week. You can often find them partnered up with a local brewery, slinging some of the best Hoagies, you will ever wrap your mouth around! Yes, they are on the Pierre side, but anyone who ever tried them has zero complaints about the price point. He makes all of his own bread, pastries, etc.... Uses almost exclusively, locally, sourced, meats, cheeses, and produce the quality is so noticeable it really isn't even a question in my mind. If the value is there! Great pop up! I've seen them sell out every single time but finally had a chance to try them this past week! They are located in Sunny's a few times a month. Vibe: Hard to tell as I took the food to go! But its just tables and chairs which honestly that's all you need when your food is great. Service: The lady at the register was super friendly! Didn't interact with anyone else Food: Here's the deal - the sandwhich is expensive! It was $25 for one hoagie. However, it is a big portion and the ingredients are clearly fresh. Mixed Review here. I'm a transplant from the Philly area and have been on a (mostly fruitless) search for ANY place in the Denver area that could make a reasonably good cheesesteak. I've tried many places recommended by locals and have been largely disappointed. Hey!! I know I'm not in Philly anymore. Someone born and raised in Colorado would likely be disappointed with the quality of Green Chilli in Philly, if you could find it all. I do set expectations keeping this in mind. So.....first the good. This is a reasonably good effort at bringing good cheesesteaks to Denver. The bread and meat are of great quality, with meat being moist; not overcooked. Further, praise the lord and pass the ammo!!! They have a Cooper Sharp cheese option, which I've NEVER seen available in Denver. The price before taxes and tip was $20, which is a little on the 'Steep' side......BUT They are NOT stingy with their portions, with a fantastic meat to bread ratio, which would total fill up someone with an 18-year-old male appetite. Now the criticism, I'm not call it "the bad", as this really was the best version of a great Cheesesteak that I've found in Denver. It was over-seasoned, on the verge of being too salty, I could hardly eat 1/2 of it without having to take a break from the overpowering level of seasoning/salt, which is why I gave it 3 stars. Everyone has a bad day, and I am more than willing to give Little Arthurs another visit to see if the seasoning "thing" was a one-time "thing", or whether it is the norm. I hope it isn't, as with adjustments to the seasoning, Little Arthurs would be able to open and thrive in Center City Philly. read more

I can tell you right off the bat, that this place is expensive when you're talking about sandwiches. This is not your neighborhood Subway level prices. But you get what you pay for. You are getting artisan chef crafted hoagies for this price. And you taste every penny. I was so impressed by the quality of the ingredients. Even just the bread tasted elite. Of course I couldn't just stop at the hoagie. I also tried their tomato pie and I was blown away. The tomato pie completely changed my view on tomato pie. I've had tomato pie before and I didn't quite care for it. But when I tell you, this was unbelievable. The focaccia bread was so crispy yet fluffy. The Parmesan grated on top was beautiful and you could just taste the fresh herbs bursting out of the tomato. When I tell you, I did not want to end. It was served room temp and not cold; which I found is now my tomato pie preference. I was so sad once I finally finished it. Both the tomato pie and the sandwich kept well the next day. It was so much food that I could not finish it. And when I threw them in the oven, they were not soggy, but we're just perfect. The tomato pie, of course is gonna have a slight bit of moisture because the tomato and the bread are touching but when I put it in the oven for a minute to crisp up a bit, it came out just right. And I can't even tell you about how that Apple olive oil cake was hitting. I took one bite and was stunned. The flavors of cinnamon and sugar were just popping off of my pallet. I took it home and warmed it up in the oven for a special treat. my only request is that they sell this by the loaf. I went back the following week to try the grandma slice that was a hit too! Finally had my cheesesteak at Little Arthur's. I have been following this pop-up online for sometime, living in Fort Collins it's not the easiest to get down to Denver for dinner, however I finally pulled it off last night. The brewery in Cap Hill where the restaurant resides is nice, service was acceptable, but I did have a few issues with the cheesesteak. First the good(hence the 4 star rating): excellent bread, high-quality meat, perfectly melted Cooper Sharp cheese, perfect amount of onions. The bad: overly salted the beef and the price, $24. For that price I would have expected to have my di** blown off, and sadly it's still there. I recently returned from Philadelphia, where I am originally from and had a cheesesteak at arguably the best place in United States, Angelo's Pizzeria. The price of the cheesesteak there was $14 now I know cost of Denver food prices and cost of work affects ultimate restaurant prices, but $24? Is Little Arthur's steak $10 better than Angelo's. On another good note i did see the pizza, served at another table around me, it looked phenomenal. So happy to finally get to try Little Arthurs Hoagies! I've tried a handful of times but they are always sold out. They are currently doing pop ups at Sunny's which is only a few blocks away so my husband, baby, pup, and I were able to walk over and then take them to the park to eat. These hoagies are FIRE! They are currently running a pop-up out of Sunny's. To score a hoagie, follow them on Instagram to watch for the schedule to be posted on Monday morning. They seem to sell out in an hour or two so stay sharp! You will get a pre-order slot for Tuesday, Wednesday, or Thursday evening. When you go to pick up your hoag, expect to wait a bit as they make it (enjoy the free scents and sounds of sizzling meat). Each hoagie is $26, so unfortunately not something I can go after every week, but they are super filling and worth the price! The hoagie roll is the most perfect thing ever. The chopped cheese sandwich I tried was filled with a generous serving of ground beef, pickles, mushrooms, onions, and an unidentifiable cheesy sauce. When you pick up, you can add a drink or cookie. (I tried a cookie--it was good but a little chewy/nothing to write a letter home about. I will probably pass next time unless there's a flavor I'm really excited about).
