Only stopped for desserts because we had already ate a meal. We tried the raspberry fruit so popular on social media and baklava. The price was under $5 dollars for baklava and it actually was a huge piece. Also thickly layered and not over the top sweet but right on the money. The fruit dessert was delicious. It didn't look as beautiful as some I've seen but it was very tasty. Service was immediate and there were a few patrons there so I am hopeful their business is profitable. Excellent Greek in Springfield? YES! We started with the spicy hummus. A bit of heat tops off this delicious hummus. Served with a basket of pitas, we really liked it. Next we had the chicken shawarma bowl. Tender spicy chicken in a bowl with rice, onions, tomato's, lettuce, banana peppers served with a great house dressing. We liked this too! Great hidden gem here in Springfield!! Spoiled/Jaded by WONDERFUL Greek food in NY, I may have gone in with higher hopes, but I was mostly (50-50) satisfied with what I ordered, and will return again with more **realistic** expectations... We started out sharing a few of their apps. The spicy feta dip was WONDEFUL, my friend's fire feta fries were a full meal (and more!) but my spanikopita was NOT the greatest, just a little triangle with barely any filling/taste. Luckily, we managed to save some room for our delicious meals... My falafel bowl was easily 2-3 meals, and included a generous portion of their homemade hummus... Yum!! My friend's chicken shwarma bowl also was super generous, with tons of fresh veggies and lots of well-seasoned chicken. We were both too full for dessert, but the choices look great!! Nothing fancy, authentic enough, Eat Greek is a super fresh, FAR from average "Field of Springs" chain restaurant option. This place was a complete shocker. When you pull up it looks like a warehouse, but the inside is clean and appealing. You order at a counter and they bring the food out. The food was the real shocker though. Everything was sooo good. The chicken soup was flavorful and well seasoned. Salad was fresh and used excellent feta and Kalamata olives. Amazing establishment right off the bat. There's a window with all kinds of deserts and trays you can buy and an amazing menu. We go: -lamb gyro: the lamb was FRESH. One would even say it was of better quality than the other popular Greek spot in town. Everything was cooked to perfection and delicious. -Greek fries: hot, fresh, crispy, creamy, tangy, savory... I could not stop eating these little golden pieces of heaven. -Calamari: not too bad! Crispy but a little on the chewy side but dip those delicious rings in that sauce and they're perfect! -Onion rings: solid. Thick pieces of onion. Batter was the good kind, not the crumbly kind. Just a dang good onion rings! -baklava: if you ever want to know what heaven on earth tastes like, get 300 of these cause one isn't enough! BRAVO!!! The restaurant is clean and open. Have been going by this place for a couple of years. My friend & I who were doing some business downtown finished our work early & I decided way not try this little Greek Restaurant. We arrived went inside. Looking around I really wasn't that much impressed. However, the food we ordered was excellent. I asked if they had the shaved lamb on the Pite bread. So I ordered her Gyro with fries. It's a bit out of our way but we will be back. Not fancy just a friendly place to have a good gyro sandwich and fries, Oh! an the side of grape leaves. We've been here 4 times now and the food and service were great every time. The same guy running the counter amazes me how he's in hustle mode every single minute. The gyros and sauces and their baklava are among the best I've ever had. We both crave this place now since we moved here and discovered it a few months ago; we deem it in our top 3 restaurants in the greater Springfield area. At first I thought it was just a tad pricy, but then I realized I could never eat everything I ordered. I'm a big eater, but just one of their gyros is *very* filling. Ordered carryout, the ordering process somewhat difficult due as they don't have website, Door Dash menu incomplete and I couldn't find a full menu posted either on Google or Yelp. No paper menus at the restaurant either, I will try to add pictures to Yelp today, other than that good food and ready when I arrived. I ordered the falafel bowl. There was so much food! Absolutely delicious especially with the tzatziki sauce. My husband ordered the lamb gyro with fries. Large portion again! We shared the small Greek fries, 10/10! We ordered to go so we could eat at a youth baseball game. My husband went inside of the restaurant to order. From order to pick up was a fairly short time. Finally had a chance to try this new restaurant out. Took my three children, my mom, and myself for Mother's Day. Got there early because they get busy fast! My kids had the gyro sandwich and I had the beef schwarma. We also ordered the grape leaves and baklava. The portions are huge and the food is on point. A while back i sent a review and started that although food was great, they were a little stingy on feta cheese on feta fries. They replied that they would do better in the future.
