What is wrong with this pic?

Tell me what is wrong with this picture? I ordered vanilla latte frappe and this is what they gave me. Completely different than the menu. I was told I have to pay extra for whip cream and the chocolate powder... No wonder this place has 3.3 rating. Sigh....

They offer SO much. I don't know how, but their menu is very long and almost overwhelming. On the bright side, you can say it's a one stop shop. It's not necessary in a dense location like Koreatown since there's so much competition, but I suppose it's nice to have if you don't want to walk too much. First, it's very dense and compact. Tables and chairs are shuffled and compact. It's easy to move them around, but it's clear that previous customers just shuffled them around and the staff just leaves the furniture as is after customers leave. Food quality is pretty standard and comparable to neighboring shops. However, the prices are very high. My guess is that the real estate is costly and the cost for preserving the variety of food is high. To offset these costs, the business sets its sales price very high. There's very little reason to go out of your way to visit this cafe. It's probably a place I would go if there was no other choice. That said, there's a lot of options nearby. If you can put off your need for instant gratification, it may be worth it.

When I was ordering, cashier seemed unenthusiastic and did not give me a welcoming vibe. I ordered a green tea latte and it came out around $7. The color did not look that vibrant and when I tasted it, it tasted just like milk- no flavor. I was also upset that it did not have much volume of liquid either, so it was very up charged. Shame that this cafe had such a good ambiance and interior but has bad service and drinks.

Random find when going to Koreatown galleria. It's located on second floor and some pretty cool views of surrounding area. I got the hot hazelnut latte and it was pretty good. A little small for over $6 after taxes but it was very warming. Came out pretty fast.

This place is the absolute best. Amazing, friendly service and great desserts and teas! My friend and I always come here before concerts in LA, and we couldn't recommend it more highly. We returned to enjoy the AC and were given these mochi cakes on the house

If you're Korean and your grandparents live in Ktown, they've probably been here at least once. Every time I walked past this cafe, it felt like I was seeing a sea of grey and permed hair. My curiosity eventually got the better of me and I decided to check out this cafe, but honestly, I was pleasantly surprised. The interior is huge and there's a good amount of seating. My wife and I only got their iced vanilla late, but I'm very curious about their bingsoo and taiyaki. My curiosity will probably get the better of me again so we'll see.

    Iced green tea mojito

Flavor: 5 Stars Service: 5 Stars Cost: 1 Star Ordered the iced green tea mojito which was refreshing and good, but for the price it just is not worth it. The size of the cup is similar to a grande at Starbucks but double the price. With tax, the drink came out to be a little over $8 which is seriously overpriced. Aside from the ridiculously expensive drink, flavor wise it is very refreshing. Initially you taste a bit of lemon, and then get a hint of green tea. The mint was chopped a little too much for my liking, but nonetheless good. If it costed $4 or so, then I would recommend ordering this, but considering this costs $8, you'd be better off ordering a coffee instead.

Tiny cheesecake slice for $6 with tiny macarons at almost $9 which I can get at Trader Joe's for $4.

Strange to have such high prices for a non-premium cafe. See the photos for yourself and decide: 1. Cheesecake is like the one you can get at Jack in the Box, except I'm sure the owners sliced this one in half because it was thinner than normal. 2. Macarons for almost $9 were 4 mini macarons. One normal sized macaron is probably like $2-3, so we could have gotten 3 big ones for the same price. Maybe they got these out of a Trader Joe's box. 3. Chai latten was warm because they mixed the hot liquid with the ice cubes before the liquid had a chance to cool down. Overall, this was $30 for four small items at an unknown mall for a big city like L.A. Terrible price/quality ratio.

Do not do not waste your money getting the juice here! The real fruit juice that costs $7.50 Is literally 90% ice and 10% fruit. Why is there ice in juice? Isn't this a slush not juice? If it tasted decent, i would be less angry!

Located in the corner of the top floor at the Korea Town Galleria, we almost missed this place while walking around the mall. This spot was pretty busy on a Thursday afternoon, surprising for such a small tucked away spot! The interior is really spaceous and many tables were full of people chatting or students working on laptops. The coffees look really popular, and they have a section where to-go coffees were coming out fast. The "snowflake" binsoos are definitely worth coming by for. The ice is actually like shavings of milky ice cream, and the sesame powder / mochi was a really great addition for flavor and chew. *Bonus: I'm lactose intolerant and I didn't have any unpleasant experiences after eating 2/3 of the binsoo. The price was on the expensive side ($15 for binsoo) and the size was a little smaller than expected. But I think the environment, menu options, and space adds a lot of value to the experience. Definitely a spot where you could go to get some work done or just relax for a few hours. It's also conveniently located; across is the food court, there are some small shops on the 2nd and 3rd floor, and there's a supermarket + bakery on the "1st" / lower level floor.

The Taiyaki here is really good. They have red bean and custard flavors. You must order a minimum of 4, each $2.95. They make them fresh so it's nice and hot. The shaved ice is good but a bit overpriced. We didn't try their boba but they do have a good selection of drinks on their menu. Parking is available in the galleria. Same parking structure as the supermarket and food court.

Great cafe especially for the young seniors. Many couples and many lady groups are sharing desserts, coffee time and conversations. There were groups of young adults as well. Very polite service. The servers will call out your order in Korean a couple of times. If no pick-up, they will repeat in English. There is plenty of seating inside the cafe, as well as a few tables just outside of the cafe entryway. This spot is located in a mall so parking is free. Aside from this cafe, there is an amazing food court you can have lunch at.

Caramel frappe, pistachio frappe, lychee smoothie, butter pecan frappe. Not good.

I've returned, and the smoothie is now watery. So not as great as I remembered. It's still a nice place to go and service is fast.

I'm not one to be venture out of a basic iced latte, but I knew I had to go for one of their seasonals when they had black sesame - unfortunately sold out! (Even at 11am... must be popular!) Somehow, some way, I had the privilege of trying their iced oat latte with black sesame foam. There was everything to like about this drink from the perfectly bold espresso - a good balance of nutty but toasty - but also a sesame cream foam. After getting the drinks, there is a quiet space to sit around and lounge about. Have a book or magazine? The couch is perfect. Have work to do? There's small tables in the hallway or even a large table and desk inside the private room. Comfortably enough, the ambiance itself is best described as open arms exclaiming "Welcome Home!" almost like a friend or neighbor is inviting you to their apartment for a cup of coffee. Wi-Fi and outlets are definitely available here. The only thing to bring to reach a flow state is your own set of noise cancelling earbuds. The walls and doors are indeed paper thin, and the traffic from the street does have a way of echoing and rumbling these walls. Other than that, though, my only bittersweet feeling with sharing this glowing review of Espresso Social Club is that finding space to work on future visits might now be a bit more competitive.

I got the matcha with honey, vanilla, a splash of condensed milk with oat milk and it was delicious. There were a few couches and chairs to sit the few minutes while my drink was curated. There's even artwork on the wall to view while waiting. Simplicity but quality, that's how I'd describe the ambiance, decor, and drinks. I'd definitely make another trip.
