Such a lovely spot! The ambiance is amazing, and I loved that they have both indoor and outdoor seating. It was also surprisingly quiet and peaceful, which I really appreciated in such a loud, busy city. They were so thoughtful and even brought me hot water with lemon, which was such a nice touch. I also got the morning special, and I've attached a picture of the menu so you can see it! The French toast was absolutely delicious , the perfect mix of crunchy and soft, with a generous amount of fresh fruit. The cream was so light and fresh, and I especially loved that it wasn't overly sweet. They also have WiFi, so I'll definitely be coming back to work from here. Understandable for Memorial Day where employees have a day off - but to wait over 30 mins for a simple sandwich and tuna roll is not okay. On top of having to prompt the host to provide us menus. The cafe was not busy. No other food orders. Only offered a free soda for the wait. Could've discounted our meal even by 10% would've made up for lack of service. This is a cute little spot with unique comfort food. I got the spicy rice cakes with seafood in sweet pumpkin - I've never ordered anything quite like this before, but I enjoyed this as it was comforting yet filling. The pumpkin helped balance out the heavy parts of the dish like the cheese and rice cakes. I also tried some of the chicken quesadilla, which I thought was decent but nothing special. Service was average - I have no positive nor negative comments. We went at dinner time, and the restaurant was dimly lit. It was quiet inside and good for a small group of people or dates. I can imagine it gets brighter during the day and can see people coming here to study, as I believe their menu also turns more into a cafe during the day. This cafe is right under a parking structure and will validate your ticket which is honestly rare for LA. I enjoy taking my time here studying as they also provide WiFi. I spent around $40 for a pasta and 2 vanilla lattes to give you an idea of the cost, and the pasta was large enough that I could have taken it home for a second meal of leftovers if I wanted. I tried those two dishes that my companion recommended. They were both very tasty. The spicy rice-cake was not that spicy but rather sweet, and gabocha pumpkin added its own sweet-potato-like flavor and texture to the dish (I have a sweet tooth). The seafood udon was very good as well, but I personally liked the rice-cake dish a bit more. it's always a gamble to know if i'll have a good experience at scent. i've been to cafe scent for over 10 years now and it was a solid place but these days, it's really a hit or miss; the flavors are inconsistent. great ambiance; it's ideal for meetings or dates. for parking, i'd say street parking is your best option. they have a variety of korean fusion and other cuisine. their hamburg steak sometimes REALLY hit and sometimes REALLY misses. their other menus are similar too. i'd say when it's really good, it's really good but other times, it's just greasy. i wish their food was consistent because it is good but yea, had to tuck away two stars for that. read more

I am beyond disappointed with my experience. They claim to make bridal and wedding bouquets for every occasion, but it's shocking that they think it's okay to charge such high prices for OLD flowers! Beautiful little gem tucked away in Koreatown. My girlfriend's and I met here for our first get together in 2 years. Our server was new, I believe his name was Terry. Young guy, very sweet. He grabbed a notepad and took our orders. One of my party had recently removed wisdom teeth so she was a little particular about her food and asked for a cup of hot water to rinse her mouth. He ended up bringing two cups of hot water just to be sure. The jujube tea, citron tea, and ginger tea were all delicious. Served warm not hot, which enabled us to enjoy them right away and didn't hurt my friend's mouth. There was a little white dog in the middle of the restaurant, far from the kitchen and far from the tables, but close to the restroom. She was hilarious and let you pet her when you walked by. This was the first public restroom I've ever see with a bidet! I didn't test it out but I was curious. The atmosphere takes you out of the city hustle and bustle and tucks you into a secret garden style botique eatery. All our food was delicious! My rose Pasta flavor was similar to a vodka sauce at an Italian place. Very flavorful! The spicy pasta my friend had was not spicy but it's possible they toned it down for us because places tend to do that with people they think are not aquatinted with a culturally spicy dish. Who knows? Whatever the case, if you go to a restaurant because you like a more nich style atmosphere and feel with a down home vibe, check it out. read more

We were looking for a baby shower venue but we had an idea that only Cafe Scent could execute. We arranged a meeting with the owners and they accommodated our every request. Our baby shower was pumpkin themed because it was on Halloween wknd and we wanted to make pumpkin vase floral arrangements. The owners prepared a beautiful assortment of loose flowers for us to cut and arrange into our floral foam and pumpkin vases during the event. They also made us a gorgeous centerpiece ahead of time. We were happy they already had pumpkin dishes on their menu to match our theme like spicy rice cake with pumpkin, sweet pumpkin almond pizza, and sweet pumpkin mixed green salad. We also pre-ordered spicy pasta with tomato sauce, bacon pasta with cream sauce, Italian pizza, chicken quesadillas, oven baked chicken wings, chicken Caesar salad, and a variety of drinks. It was perfect because we had a mixture of Korean and American guests so the fusion of both cuisines fit everyone's palate and was really delicious. Cafe scent is amazing because they fulfilled our venue needs for florals, as well as provided flavorful food and drinks. They were attentive to our needs the whole time and even were generous to let us use their space when we went over on time and clean up our floral mess afterwards. The kitchen staff were very kind and made the presentation nicer than usual :) The cafe was also very lenient in how we rearranged and decorated the place, which allowed all the guests, and the bride-to-be esp, to enjoy every decor and details of the event!! Sometimes I just want to hang out at a place where I can bring my computer and be productive. But on the tuesday night that we were there, it just was not possible: - lighting is a little on the dim side (which is good if all you want to do is relax) - the K-pop music is played a little on the loud side that even my ear buds couldn't block it out - sometime after 9pm, groups of chatty people showed up and the place started getting loud. Oh well... our productivity jam was cut short. I think the evening time is for socializing :) Brian I. did mention that during the day, the place is better for studying/working. Hmmm. This is my first time here. First of all I'm going to start with the things that I like. I like the food, drinks and desserts. I like the place it's soo big. I love the ambiance. The parking is not hard to find. On top of that I like how they close late at night. On the other hand I did not like that they only have 2menus and its super tiny too.
