Located in an area we don't frequent. Not much of a beer/wine drink I was able to find a smooth tasting cup of coffee, a LB latte made with cinnamon vanilla then add a 2nd cup of in bloom latte-espresso, honey, orange blossom milk - add a cinnamon roll and we have the perfect breakfast. Our coffee was very smooth, well roasted beans - not acidly or bitter. Something a definitely enjoy in a cup of coffee. Add the fact that 4 legged fur babies are welcome with plenty of space in the patio and free internet it was almost perfect. With the university located down the street I can imagine this place is packed during the school year. The only down side was parking. It was a little difficult to find nearby parking, I imagine how it could get during the week. A great experience and another place to put on my list of favorites! read more

The location is super cute, but whenever the weird goth girl with the septum piercing is there I feel super uncomfortable. Not only does she rush you by standing there staring at you as if you're major inconvenience. I've been there a few times and every time I start off by saying hi and all she does is stand there staring at you making things weird. She doesn't even bother getting your order correct and makes you repeat the order more than three times. Management please put this girl somewhere else and hire someone who actually wants to work there. On the other hand the barista who actually makes your drinks makes an effort to be nice! Warehouse industrial look! Love the high ceilings, concrete counter tops and table tops. Lofty look and the lattes are so delicious. If you love sugar ask for extra simple syrup or honey bc they make them very light on the sweet. The cinnamon donuts are a must! They taste just like Stans Donuts in Michigan Ave in downtown town Chicago. The staff are very welcoming and friendly. Restrooms are clean and well equipped. Family friendly and they leave the warehouse garage doors open so it feels like you are enjoying the great outdoors. Highly recommend! read more

I moved to Albuquerque a year and a half ago, and I work from home, which for me means "find a really good coffee shop." Took me a few months to find Little Bear in Nob Hill, but I've been coming here nearly every day since, and it deserves every one of the above stars. The coffee is great - I'm not a coffee snob, but everything I've had here is really good. (And if you ARE a coffee snob, there are more than a few of the staff who can speak your language as well.) The people who work here are all top notch, wonderful, kind humans, who are great at their jobs and really help set the place apart. Lots of seating, and it's nice that there's a variety available; from couches for groups to individual tables for those of us posting up with a laptop. Mañana Taco has been stationed in the parking lot for the past six months or so, and fixed what I always considered the only "miss" at Little Bear, offering amazing food for both breakfast and lunch. I'm moving next week, and Little Bear and the folks behind the counter are one of the few things I will genuinely miss. Staff was super friendly I love little set up where you can sit inside and outside. They have many of their coffees packaged for sale and good prices. Outdoor seating as well, mild weather on my visit so the large roll up door to the outdoor seating area was open giving plenty of fresh air. Mid-afternoon on Sunday had a number of patrons with laptops, seems like a great coffee shop for this. Music is good for working, volume level not too loud but still loud enough to make it easy to avoid getting distracted by background noise or other conversations. Lighting level just right. About 20 minutes into a laptop session in this new caffeine spot, I found myself drifting to the soul sounds coming out of the speakers and I thought, Hey, what's not to like? Great music. Better than decent coffee, not stellar, but I'm hardly a snob, solid. And service was cool, friendly. Honestly, as this brand has grown to a second location, I'm liking the new digs. The Pennsylvania venue is kind of a red carpet affair for Instagrammable scenery but this place is more bare-bones and down to earth. Nob Hill desperately needed another great cafe, and Little Bear truly transformed a spot that once was a costume shop (Disco Display House) into a great little hub of small businesses. Yes to Little Bear! On a Monday afternoon, the place was pretty packed, I parked a half-block down (and walked, who walks in Albuquerque?) the whole half-block walk because the parking lot was full. That's a really good omen for this area of the city, which was hit pretty hard by the A.R.T. construction. In the end, I found a blank canvas of a cafe that offered plenty of plug-ins for my devices, a fun fly-on-the-wall overheard conversation with the laptopper next to me (pro tip: southern New Mexico real estate is a steal right now) and a semi-private spot to converse with a friend. Here at brand new Little Bear Coffee location, in Nob Hill, a much anticipated opening along Central ave. For those driving and walking sround Central ave., ones could notice the construction site happening at the old historic Disco House building! The first Little Bear Coffee shop is on Pennsylvania north of Menaul. So December 2019 is the newly opened 2nd location of this brick and mortar coffee house. It does offer free parking lot and there is some street parking along side streets. The coffee shop is brightly lit and plenty of seating selections meandering throughout the large building. Plenty of coffee selection ranging from house brew drip coffee, lattes, cappuccino, and chemex along with few more drinks offerings. There are large baked goods ranging from donuts, Bristol Doughnut and other pastries from The Witching Hour Bakery. My selection for today is the house brew, which I can always depend on just like the original location. And just like the original location, there are Little Bear merchandise here for purchase. Next to the coffee shop, there are cute little shops which can be seen along Central ave., which I would like to visit. For now, this is a quick stop for coffee. I'm glad to see there is a clean and modern new coffee addition added to the Nob Hill area! I will definitely be back soon and possibly hang out in this new environment! Love that they are dog friendly! LB latte and matcha are both delicious and they have fresh baked goods everyday. They have vegan options too which is a plus. Lots of seating inside and outside and outlets everywhere so great place to get work done. Baristas are always so nice with recommendations and super patient. Get a stamp card, you'll be back loads of times! Parking isn't too bad. The lot is small but there are other parking lots about 109 feet away. My dog and I love hanging out here, vibes are 10/10! read more

Really great find along Route 66! We popped in for a quick coffee pick-me-up in the afternoon and was pleasantly surprised by how they enforced COVID-19 social distancing precautions. They had great choices of pastries and a nice variety of different methods you could order coffee (I.e. Chemex, aero press, etc). Latte was great and it's a huge open space with beautiful natural lighting. Definitely a place to come back to! read more

As far as coffee goes, fairly average. I have been here 3-4 times this week. I had my first food item here this morning - a green chile breakfast burrito. It was hot, but minimal in size. About halfway through I hit a good size piece of paper. Luckily I pulled it out and didn't continue to assume it was some chile skin. It was about the size of 3 quarters. I tossed the rest of the burrito at that point. The staff I encountered was either friendly or indifferent. The space is nice. A wide variety of seating inside and out. The space alone raised my rating from 3 to 4 stars. I found a smaller coffee spot directly 2 blocks north that I tried earlier this morning (they open an hour earlier at 6) and it was wonderful and friendlier as well. That will be my spot going forward. So Little Bear is fine for coffee and espresso, but so have to say - avoid the paper burritos. read more

We are big fans of Little Bear. Whether you can sit inside or order at the take out window, we love going here. I will say that I love that the menu is simple; one size not a grande etc. Plus if luck out, you can grab an amazing donut (not sure where they get them). Little Bear is a great local spot. We didn't have a ton of time to kill but did enjoy the half hour or so relaxing and winding down our trip to NM. I could definitely see myself posting up here on the regular if I lived in the area. These folks are great and have delicious coffee. They have window walk-up service for customers during these COVID19 times. The staff is friendly and willing to talk about their coffee and brewing methods if you ask. I can't find Chemex filters anywhere. The team member at Little Bear told me how the filters may be hard to find because of the pandemic. I talked to them briefly about the V60 system, and with very little convincing on their part I was heading to their retail shop to pick one up. Their retail shop is also amazing and has great service, but that's another review. Back at Little Bear, I picked up the V60 filters to go with my new dripper, a bag of their Costa Rica, and a free cup of drip. I love when places give you a free cup for buying a bag of beans. Think about the price of that. A cup of drip is $3. I paid around $18 for the bag of beans. I look at that like getting my bag of coffee for ~16% off. Plus, I get to drink more coffee.
