After I unpacked my stuff I realize that they also lost an entire bag of shoes. I called them to let them know that my shoes are missing. They told me they would call me back once they spoke to the driver, I haven't heard a word out of them since. This is absolutely crazy, especially since they overcharged me. I know they've been around for a while, but they're not doing good work. And I would not recommend them.

The move date, thanks to five properties with a monster's gallery of reasons each had to be rejected, and each one, right before closing! Emma helped me move the date like a champ! She helped me through some of the most stressful weeks of my life with a cool, friendly demeanor and was able to flex with my on again, off again closing schedule. Southwest Van Lines moved boxes and a few pieces of furniture from CA to NE. At the pickup site I…read morewas charged $500 extra stating my things took up more room than the estimate even though I had 10 fewer boxes and 2 less pieces of furniture. In NE only 127 of the 141 boxes loaded in CA were delivered. Most of the boxes were crushed and smashed and damp!! Many things were broken. I also had 10 plastic bins and two of them had water in the bottom of the bin and in another two, my things were moldy. I asked how my things got wet and they stated that it happens sometimes. I paid thousands of dollars for the move and my things were lost, left where they got wet and mishandled to the point where boxes were smashed and things inside broken. Southwest stated they cannot locate my missing boxes and also said that they move hundreds of boxes and sometimes boxes are lost. What a bad response from a company where moving boxes and furniture is their business!! Southwest states all that can be done now is for me to file a claim. When I looked into filing a claim I was shocked to read what I, as the customer, must have to prove the value of my things. There are so many negative things out there about movers and now I can vouch for all those negative comments because I have experienced price gouging, damaged and wet boxes and slow delivery (20 business days - they delivered on a Sunday!!). The movers insisted that they delivered all my boxes but they DID NOT and everyday I come across something else that I don't have. What a horrible experience! I wish I had gone with PODS or rented a U-Haul!

For whatever reason, they showed up at 8am as I was driving to the pickup location so I had to turn around to get back to my place in time to open the door. The move went well. I asked them to help with moving a small cabinet to the garage since they were paid by the hour; Enrigue was helpful but the second guy refused. It's what it is. Overall, a good deal except the need to improve the communication the next time around.
