The menu is overwhelming to me. That was my first impression. The staff was extremely nice. The portions were huge. I got a kids sizes pasta and still had food left over. On Saturdays my sisters and I get together to play games and have dinner. Last Saturday we decided on Lezama's. We've ordered from there before and it was okay. Not this time. We ordered 1) Long Branch burger, salad instead of fries. No salad came. 2) 1/2 of a Philly cheesesteak for $11.00 w/onions, peppers and mushrooms. I didn't see any mushrooms, little cheese and very little meat. Lots of grease and no taste. 3) 1/2 of an eggplant parm sandwich for $11.00. Question - how do you mess up an eggplant parm sandwich? The eggplant was burnt, very little mozzarella and maybe a drop of sauce. And one of the eggplant slices was like leather. So burnt and dry. $45.00 with tip and delivery. Ever since Tony's closed I've been trying different pizzas. It's been several years and I've come to the conclusion that Lezamas makes the best pie in Long Branch. It's thin crust, drips, is tasty with a little kick (spicy). And toppings are not chintzie. Delivery is prompt, the pizza is still hot and the delivery guys are polite. Lezama's far exceeded expectations!! Since Tuzzio's closed we have been looking for a casual yet delicious Italian take out. Last week (June 15, 2023) we recalled a 4.5 star pizzeria on Broadway...we thought why not. We ordered the Shrimp Francese ,side of penne w red sauce and a mixed salad. Brought it home and devoured every bite. It was delicious!! Tonight we order the same...but pasta without sauce and poured it into the lemon Francese sauce. Included broccoli rabe w sausage and Cesar salad. Again 5 stars on all. And not to forget the bread sticks. . Can't wait to try the pizza and many of the other dishes. We parked in front of the restaurant and was going to go else where but decided to go in after seeing the menu. I was craving pasta. Surprisingly the food is amazing. From the bread sticks and marinara sauce and especially the broccoli rabe, which was delicious with sausages and red peppers. We ordered seafood pasta and it was perfect. The seafood was cooked well where it's tender and not rubbery. After having such a good meal here, I'm excited to try their other foods. Also the service was very good. read more

Excellent meal. We actually checked yelp for restaurants in the area and Lezama's came back highly rated, so we decided to give it a try. We had the Brooklyn Pizza, mozzarella sticks and I had a Philly cheesesteak with mushrooms, peppers and onions. Everything was delicious. It's almost closing time so it's a little empty/slow, and we had to ask for our check... but otherwise our service was good. Really nice atmosphere too. read more

A classic downtown pizzeria with probably one of the best Margarita Pizza I've ever had. We went there recently for dinner on a Sunday night after a beach outing nearby. The ambience is welcoming and they have seating space for may be about 30-40 people. Not too big but spacious enough to enjoy a nice dinner. The margarita pizza that we ate was really flavorful with bursting flavors of fresh tomato sauce with basil and of course mozzarella cheese. The crust was just perfect too. Our server Carolina was super busy but had a smile on her face at all times. I would say, this place is worth a visit even if you are not that close. read more

So upon arriving at the restaurant we weren't greeted/seated right away. I had to go up to the lady while she was hidden in the back and then she finally sat my group down. A few minutes later she gave us breadsticks to eat and they were just alright. We ordered a calzone and a taco/plain pizza. It took 20 mins for them to bring it out and the restaurant was not even packed. The calzone was pretty good, I liked that it was warm enough for a cheese pull. However, the pizza was just warm which was disappointing. Personally I love when my food is hot and fresh out of the oven. It's like the pizza looked great but the taste was just mediocre. Anyways I'm sure I'll return to give it another shot, but for now 3 stars to Lezama. read more

I will try again but I have never had a pizza with so much oil/grease on it. We got half mushroom and during the delivery the mushrooms slid all over the pizza. Maybe a 1/4 didnt have mushroom. Not a good sign whether its the oily cheese or just the driver. We got the BEET salad that did not have any beets. The details did not say beets but why would you call it a BEET salad. Very disappointed. We may try again but not any time soon. Back to Oceanport or zachary's. read more

This is the former Freddies Pizzeria and boy is their pizza amazing, so good even Freddie would be proud. Their pasta dishes are overflowing with taste. Last night I came with some friends for dinner. We always received the best service on the weekends when we've come here in the past, but last night, the service wasn't exceptional as always. It was a different waitress than normal and she seemed overwhelmed and slow. After about 20 minutes, I saw our normal waitress come out to help with a few tables. Her tables got their food before we got ours. Hopefully this new waitress isn't a regular on Friday night, otherwise we will have to dine elsewhere. read more

We LOVE the pizza here! There is a really big variety to choose from but our favorites are the square Grandma's thin crust and thin crust (round) eggplant and meat lover's. The appetizers are very tasty, especially the broccoli rabe and the calamari and the pasta fagioli is one of the best I've ever had. We were so upset when Freddie's closed, but this place actually has really good thin crust pizza too!! The cheese on our extra cheese pizza slid but that wasn't a big deal. The only complaint is that they forgot the beets in the beet salad and forgot to send me my side of spaghetti that comes with my chicken Marsala meal. I would give you guys 5 stars, but you need better organization before I can do that. read more
