Some of the best food Baltimore has to offer. The pizzas were simple and surprisingly good. Nice laid back atmosphere.

Made a reservation a month in advance. Needless to say it was well worth the wait. Had a small dining area which gave a similar vibe to eating in someone's home. Our server was fantastic and checked in with us the perfect amount and did not rush us at all. Everything we tasted was amazing! The pierogis and apple dessert were our favorite dishes and we could not go back again without getting those, absolute musts! Felt at home and very much looking forward to coming back. Ward & I were in Baltimore for a family event & we ended up at Little Donna's. What a gem! A former tavern (still with a gorgeous bar in the front room) it's now a small, cute restaurant. Staff was super friendly. PRO - That Clam Tavern Pie was delicious! As was the Coddie Cakes. Those are thing in crab rich Maryland? Who knew! Ward had the steak & veggies & didn't even leave paint on his plate. Didn't have room for the yummy sounding desserts tho, sadly. CON- The wine list is limited. Plenty of beers & mixed stuff tho, but I like my wines. SO- If you are in Baltimore or are just a foodie, make a point to seek out Little Donna's for some interesting, delicious food. I drive up from Washington at least once a month. It's a lovely restaurant on the corner of a quiet, calming residential block. The food is absolutely amazing! My favorites are the Tomato Pie, Crab Palacinke, and of course their Pierogies! I don't drink but I hear the cocktails are amazing. Wish I lived closer. If dinner out is my choice, this is where I'd go. read more

You are asked to email for a reservation,I called and spoke with the same person,i just spoke with. # 1,It's a week and a day later and no response from them. # 2 When i spoke with her last week she told me they did have space for the date i requested,but email and they will confirm. A week and a day later no email,and when i called today they no longer have space for the date i requested. VERY BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE! I don't care how busy you are you should return emails. Excellent food, service and even better ambiance. We only had the chance to eat at one place in Baltimore and glad we did.

We were walking around after dinner one night and stumbled upon Little Donna's / could not resist its charm! We dropped in for some dessert and got the apple crostata which was baked perfectly and so delicious. All of the staff were very friendly and welcoming--the vibes matched the ambience of a mom and pop neighborhood restaurant. We will definitely be back to try their beloved pierogis! read more

My wife and I made a reservation for dinner based on an article I read in the New York Times on June 26, titled "22 of the Best Pizza Places in the United States". (I later found another article in the Times, published on September 18, 2023, describing "The 50 places in the United States that we're most excited about right now", which included "Little Donna's.) We had plans to be in Baltimore to attend an Orioles game and were staying just a few blocks from Little Donna's in the Fell's Point section. I had hoped that we would be able to try the soft-shell crab pizza described in the Times article but we were apparently a little too late for soft-shell crab season. I was initially a little disappointed but my disappointed was to be short-lived. We started out with a margarita each. Mine was spicy and both were excellent. We both ordered the evening specials. I had the white clam pizza. (It was Clam Pie Wednesday!) It was extraordinary! Garlic, fresh oregano, sweet clams and lemon wedges. As I said above, my disappointment was short-lived. My wife and the lobster pierogies with pancetta, which she absolutely loved (and had enough to bring home for dinner the next day when we had returned home to the Jersey Shore). No room for dessert! Our server, Suzanne, was great, telling us about the restaurant, describing the various menu choices and looking in on us periodically. Our experience, "from soup to nuts" as they say, was nothing short of outstanding. I expect to return to Baltimore sometime next baseball season to see my favorite team (Let's go O's!) and will certainly make sure to dine at Little Donna's again. read more

I came here for a celebration because of all the great reviews online. I hate to write a terrible review but it's to the point where my friend and I both have been overcharged from a bill more than a week ago. One in person visit, three phone calls, talking to multiple people with promises of call backs that have not happened. The food was not worth all the hype and a total charge of $120 dollars on a $30 dollar bill. I get there was an emergency because of a power outage but the process to fix it has been terrible. You can get the same quality of food and better service at many other places nearby. I will not be going back. read more

Wow, this place is great! We didn't have a reservation and waited only a short time on a Friday night for a great seat outside. Had the perogies added the sausage and kraut, a must. Also got the chopped salad, we basically licked all the plates clean. Got the pork schnitzel, so good and the tavern pie, all so good. We can't wait to go back. Excellent. I wanted to love this place. Ambiance is great, cocktails were terrific, and the service was exceptional. Unfortunately, I wasn't wowed by the food. The lobster pierogies were delicious, but the house pierogies were uninteresting except for the sausage and kraut. Scallops were beautifully presented, nicely seared but largely flavorless, and (maybe?) a fraction undercooked. My wife's schnitzel was overcooked and dry, requiring undue effort to cut. The sauce was delicious, but the dish was very disappointing overall. Food took too long to arrive, so maybe the kitchen was slammed (there was a good crowd by 6 pm Wednesday). I'll go back for the bar and maybe the pizza. My wife is moving on and not from me. read more

I really enjoyed this restaurant. It's intimate with interesting decor. The food was excellent. We had the trout dip as an appetizer, pierogies (without sausage), one of the tavern pies (can't remember the name but it had cauliflower and brussels sprouts on it among other things), and green chili chicken. The spices the cook used were just right. It's a small menu (which to me suggests better care and quality than a big menu) so some people might have limited choices if they avoid certain foods. It might help to check the menu online although what I read online after coming home was a bit different from what was on the menu the night we were there. I look forward to another trip. Plus I love Fells Point. Just be aware that parking in the neighborhood is a challenge. read more

What a delightful neighborhood restaurant! This was a perfect date night spot. We did not have a reservation but they accommodated us in the bar area at a high top. The heirloom tomato pizza was incredible and paired very nicely with the lobster salad that was on special. Service was very attentive and some of the best I've had recently. The pirogies are magical. Apologies to my Polish grandmother, God rest her soul, but these are the best pirogies I have ever had. Loved the presentation and the balance of crisp and soft. We also ordered the tavern pizza, which had a nice thin crust and did not disappoint. For dessert we got split the brownie parfait and the creme was so light and delicate. Loved the classic wood bar and the quirky decor like the Schlitz light and an old tv as a host stand. Felt like you were dining in a cozy Baltimore home. Loved it and will return for sure. read more

Have to start out with the caveat that I made the reservation at Little Donna's because I hadn't been back to the tavern my grandparents ran and the house my Dad grew up in since my grandfather's passing over 40 years ago. I think there have been a few establishments at the address but Little Donna's is Little Donna's menu is eclectic and excellent. Everything we tried was fantastic. We shared the signature Pierogies with the polish sausage and kraut side--fought over the last Pierogi, the Pizza special - Smoke mozzarella and fig jam with fresh figs--amazing, and Ostrowski's Kielbasa stuffed Schnitzel--the pickled celery and fennel make the dish sing. The chef and wait staff were very welcoming and provided great service. Good wine and drink recommendations too. When I am back in Baltimore, I'll definitely go back for both the food and the atmosphere. Another Yelp reviewer said it was like dining in your grandmother's house. For me it was literally dining in my grandparents house but with amazing food and the bonus was that I didn't have to help with the dishes. read more
