Not only is Izzy's a gluten free cafe, the food is next level. Inventive, fresh, flavorful and a blend of traditional favorites with modern twists. I was torn between the shrimp and grits and the Virginia Benedict. The fried Green tomatoes instead of a traditional English muffin sounded too delicious to pass up. It was perfectly portioned, seasoned and balanced. Beautifully poached egg topped with micro greens and tangy pickled white onions nestled between delicious fried Green tomatoes and blackened shrimp. Creamy, velvety hollendaise brought everything together. My partner had a delicious omelet with Idaho potatoes Oh, lavender mimosas with edible flowers were a nice touch too. Only 44 seats including a small counter, so reservations are recommend. But there is great shopping in the area if you have a wait like we did. This is a must try whether you're gluten free or not.
