The staff were friendly and our waitress was attentive. She also gave my stablemate a suggestion due to allergies and his meal was a hit. How have I lived here so long and NEVER knew this place was a mini- Old European?!?! We went at 11am on Sunday morning and the place was packed. We only waited 15 minutes for a table! It's very cozy, every inch of the space is allocated. I'd hate to be at the table to the right of the breakfast bar. It didn't look like they use it though. Beignets were an amazing "appetizer" We were so busy enjoying each others company I totally forgot to take a pic of my food. Chorizo omelette was great. Daughter had the Scandinavian cake plate. Service: the ladies were great! It was speedy service, they were funny, super kind, and there when we needed them. Atmosphere: it was a small breakfast place, but inviting. It wasn't super big, reminds me of an old donut place in Portland I used to go to, but it was clean and comfortable! Food: the food was great!! We started with the Aebleskivers sampler and they were all amazing!! So freaking good. I can't wait to eat them again. My sister got the Beignet Bites and omg. They were perfection. Light and flakey, just like they should be. Then my sister and I split the traditional goulash and got a side of verde to put on top. It wasn't amazing, but it hit the spot! I hate to do this. We've visited this place many times. Lately, at least the past 3 times it's progressively gotten worse. Today was the worst of all. Our eggs were over cooked, we order over medium they were definitely over cooked almost hard, the whites were like rubber my husband cut his with a knife. EVERY single thing on the plate was cold. Hash brown cold and could tell they were previously cooked. I had the Swedish meatballs they were mushy and yep they were cold. We would have said something but it took a long time to get our cold food and the waitress was very busy. They did offer a discount but we paid full price anyway. I'm not looking for a hand out just want good hot food. It is kinda spendy at $18-$19 for eggs hasbrowns toast and meat. If you're going to charge premium prices, you better bring me premium food and service. They did seem short staffed but that's really no excuse. read more

Wow, but this place has gone downhill regarding the food. The staff are all very friendly, and this place is really cute, but the food is really disappointing now. I will also note the menu is not very clear. My wife got blueberry crepes, she noted that the raspberry ones on the menu came with cream cheese, but the blueberry ones were not listed as having cream cheese. She does not like cream cheese at all, but it came with it. For me, I got scrambled eggs. They came like an omelette, and the inside was runny. Recently stopped in for breakfast prior to flying back to CA from a family wedding in Spokane. We originally passed right by it, as my husband claimed it was not a sit down restaurant. I was mapping to it (based on Yelp), so we did double back...so suffice to say the outside might not scream 'great restaurant.' Thankfully, looks are deceiving. The inside does say 'diner' in appearance and staff were prompt and friendly. I appreciated a pretty comprehensive menu, as well as the option to have a small, paired down option for those like me with a smaller appetite. That option was the essentially the ability to order a single egg, along with a protein option and a third item. I ordered my egg with a sausage patty and Ebelskivers. Though my egg was not visually very appealing, it tasted as expected. The sausage was tasty and the Ebelskivers were crisp on the outside, soft on the inside and served with a berry syrup. Delicious. My husband had bacon/eggs/hashbrowns and toast with homemade strawberry jam. He raised his eyebrows at the appearance of the jam (I think it was how light in color it was), but found it to be very tasty (along with the rest of his dish). The coffee was hot and flavorful. There's something about a little cafe that opens early and closes at 2pm that tells me it's gonna be good eating experience Nikki was great! She's obviously well liked by the locals and welcomed us as first timers without a hitch. She complimented our little on his politeness and good manners as the table across the aisle had children actually throwing food on the floor that Nikki would later sweep up before the next guests were seated. We shared a combo order of Danish Aebelskivers (like pancake balls with filling) and surprisingly the sausage was the best. The Austrian Coffee was SO Good. My dish was the Chorizo Verde Hungarian Goulash (half order) .. it was delicious but too spicy for me, I ended up only eating about 1/4 of it. If you like heat, this is the way. I chose the Sourdough French Toast as the side and it was fine. The mister opted for German Potato Pancakes as his side to the Traditional Goulash and that was really good. The portions are huge. I was told there's a new kitchen manager and the food is no longer the same. As well as the astronomical prices. I got charged $6.50 for regular size glass of orange juice- the juice was not worth the squeeze for that price!! Also I got charged .50 cents for a TINY to go container of applesauce!! We dropped our boat off for some work to be done and needed a brunch spot. Looked up Aebelskivers, and Yelp had this restaurant listed. As soon as we walked in, we were greeted by a couple of smiling ladies. There are around 12 tables and some seats at the counter. We were seated immediately and handed silverware and menus. Desirae asked us about beverages and then told us to take our time looking over the menu. The orange juice is amazing - freshly squeezed and we got to see the machine in action. They serve the coffee in individual carafes and it stays warm and not burned. He ordered the veggie's omelette with an accompaniment of a German Potato Pancake and applesauce. I ordered the lighter side of 1 egg (over easy), 2 slices of crispy bacon, and a German Potato Pancake. We also ordered the Aebelskiver special of 2 of each kind (plain, blueberry, & havarti and sausage). Everything was Deeelicious!! The omelette had lots of delicious veggies, the potato pancakes were perfectly cooked and contained onions, meat, and chives. My bacon could not hav been cooked any better, and the Aebleskivers were fluffy and flavorful. They came with a pink berry whipped cream, berry syrup, and maple syrup. We didn't finish them all, so Desirae gave us a Togo container and small cups with lids for the syrups and whipped cream. read more

You can refill your own nice hot coffee with a carafe on the table. We got fresh brewed decaf. We decided to try this place for brunch and we are glad we did. It's an intimate size and we visited during the Sunday brunch rush, so it was crowded, but worth the wait. First of all, the service was incredible. Our waitress went above and beyond to make our meal perfect. Everything we ordered was delicious.
