    Traditional Goulash - Half
    Katie H.

Service: the ladies were great! It was speedy service, they were funny, super kind, and there when we needed them. Atmosphere: it was a small breakfast place, but inviting. It wasn't super big, reminds me of an old donut place in Portland I used to go to, but it was clean and comfortable! Food: the food was great!! We started with the Aebleskivers sampler and they were all amazing!! So freaking good. I can't wait to eat them again. My sister got the Beignet Bites and omg. They were perfection. Light and flakey, just like they should be. Then my sister and I split the traditional goulash and got a side of verde to put on top. It wasn't amazing, but it hit the spot! The verde was really tasty! It all had great flavor and was worth the stop!

This is the best breakfast I've ever had. Found online while traveling thru the area and 10/10 did not disappoint.

Recently stopped in for breakfast prior to flying back to CA from a family wedding in Spokane. We originally passed right by it, as my husband claimed it was not a sit down restaurant. I was mapping to it (based on Yelp), so we did double back...so suffice to say the outside might not scream 'great restaurant.' Thankfully, looks are deceiving. The inside does say 'diner' in appearance and staff were prompt and friendly. I appreciated a pretty comprehensive menu, as well as the option to have a small, paired down option for those like me with a smaller appetite. That option was the essentially the ability to order a single egg, along with a protein option and a third item. I ordered my egg with a sausage patty and Ebelskivers. Though my egg was not visually very appealing, it tasted as expected. The sausage was tasty and the Ebelskivers were crisp on the outside, soft on the inside and served with a berry syrup. Delicious. My husband had bacon/eggs/hashbrowns and toast with homemade strawberry jam. He raised his eyebrows at the appearance of the jam (I think it was how light in color it was), but found it to be very tasty (along with the rest of his dish). The coffee was hot and flavorful. I guess the theme of this review is to try things despite outward appearances, as you may be surprised by how good they are!

Good food, but I wish the ambiance is better. I ordered the real crab Benedict's, husband ordered the chorizo verse Hungarian goulash and kids ordered the kids menu.

Came here a day before Mother's Day for brunch and it was yummy. Got the freshly squeezed orange juice and raspberry crepes. Literal perfection. So good.

There's something about a little cafe that opens early and closes at 2pm that tells me it's gonna be good eating experience Nikki was great! She's obviously well liked by the locals and welcomed us as first timers without a hitch. She complimented our little on his politeness and good manners as the table across the aisle had children actually throwing food on the floor that Nikki would later sweep up before the next guests were seated. We shared a combo order of Danish Aebelskivers (like pancake balls with filling) and surprisingly the sausage was the best. The Austrian Coffee was SO Good. My dish was the Chorizo Verde Hungarian Goulash (half order) .. it was delicious but too spicy for me, I ended up only eating about 1/4 of it. If you like heat, this is the way. I chose the Sourdough French Toast as the side and it was fine. The mister opted for German Potato Pancakes as his side to the Traditional Goulash and that was really good. The portions are huge. I don't foresee us ever being back in Spokane but it was a great little breakfast for our short time there!

I looooove this place. Service is incredible, food is so good, and it's cute! It's usually pretty busy so there may be a wait. The cinnamon roll alone is worth the wait though. Servings are HUGE! Prices are pretty high but you are basically getting two helpings. The potato pancakes are one of my favs. Highly recommend!

45$ for two egg dishes w/o coffee is just too much. Service was great, food okay! Hard to pay these prices

I first got to have mangrove during last summer, I went out for breakfast with my sister, and we stopped here on a whim. Was a little apprehensive at first because the restaurant is a home (not used as one though:) ) we shared their breakfast crêpes, I bought the fruity version and she had the savory version and we just split them down the middle. These were the most delicious crêpes I've ever had. The fruit was so fresh, delicious and sweet, I hadn't had fruit like this since I last visited Florida. And their portion sizes are pretty decent too. I was able to try their lunch menu this last Wednesday and I was genuinely in awe of how delicious the whole menu was. The kaosoi soup was out of this world. It was so rich in flavor and the spice was perfect, really coconutty and a beautiful curry base. I had so much that I was able to eat it again for dinner. I ordered a cup of rice to dip into the soup. The Thai fried rice was also delicious. It has a seafood base which tasted amazing with all of the citrus and to finish off our meal we had hot ginseng tea, which I'm surprised I haven't tried sooner because I love herbal teas. It has now been added to my shopping cart because ginseng has such a full body flavor that I can't get enough of it! The way they decorated this was adorable, the owner's personality really comes out in the way they set up the place. There's a lot of seating, but I don't think it would be good for a group bigger than four. The customer service is also great. The husband takes all of the orders and his wife creates all of immaculate dishes. They're a sweet older couple, hence the odd hours as they're slowly moving towards retirement. Come check them out!!

Finally, at 12:40p she brought out our order throw it on the table, with "here's your damn order, stop your bitching. Normally biscuits and gravy, eggs and bacon come on one plate, the same for the mini pancakes, everything came on separate plates. I tried to explain to the waitress that my mom was deaf, it was excuse me. Then she got really snotty when we stated that my mom had ordered mini pancakes and she got waffles. The response was 'just eat your damn meal." We're not regulars, we stop in often. We stopped here today my mom wanted pancakes and being a diabetic my blood sugar was low; on a normal day service is quick. once she throw the food on the table and her snooty attitude it was time to leave, Jenny's is NOT a place for the elderly nor handicap to visit, not with a snooty waitress like this. Sorry Jenny we may come back, but we're looking for a better place without snooty wait staff and have an understanding that there are deaf people who visit. This shows the LACK of training the staff. The one star is way too high for your service
