We were not offered a menu nor greeted when we arrived. A woman in line got us a menu. There were 4 employees behind the counter. They appeared to be in each other's way. We ordered our food and took a seat. My friend ordered soup and salad. We were told there was enough soup for her to get some. Our food is delivered and we are told they ran out of soup. No refund offered but a pickle and a bag of chips. No one worked the table area to remove dirty dishes or to see if anyone needed a refill, etc. I ordered Diet Coke and half an Italian panini. They have delicious breakfast bagels. They also have some delicious drink options. They have good smoothies too. But they are pretty slow to bring your food and I've had them mess up on a couple of my orders. For reference I've been here at least once a month over that past two years But the main reason I'm giving it a three is for the cleanliness factor. They have a little kids area but it seemed nobody ever cleans that area up. It's always covered in crumbs and they want the kids to just play on the ground. And who knows if they ever sanitize the toys. I hope they do. Everything my kids come to play their hands get brown from the floor. They should really put down a rug where the toys are. They should also add a little cute gate for the kids area room so kids can't run free. Other than that, it's an awesome place to come, eat, and study! read more

I want to love this place! I've given it multiple chances. First time I went, my drink was incorrect. The 2nd time, I ordered an Italian soda and it was flat. No biggie- they corrected both times, but were quite rude as if I was an inconvenience to have my drink remade. Today. I ordered a panini. The price on the menu stated $11 but rang up $12. This is a great place to meet up with friends or just stop in for a quick latte or bite to eat. A smattering of the usual breakfast fare can be found here and everything I have ordered has been very good quality. Bagels and other goodies can be found on the breakfast side and panini's etc for lunch. The staff are friendly and keep the place clean. There are many wood tables with chairs, a couple of couches, and some other softer seating to settle into. There are also several tables outside as well. This is a nice stop for Whitworh students and a good place for families to meet up with their kids that are going to school there. Not too many, if any, outlets for computers. So bring a freshly charged battery if you're going to do some studying. Pricing is on the higher side where a bagel sammie and drink will set you back around $11. Same goes for the panini. read more

When touring Whitworth, I stopped with a friend at this coffee shop for a quick lunch. The BLT panini was delicious and my Americano was also very good. The welcoming attitudes of the staff added positively to the cozy atmosphere, and the decor made it a unique experience. The service was slower, so it took awhile for us to receive our orders and the soup,while flavorful, was mostly broth. Overall though, I would likely return again if I'm in the area because of the originality of the shop and the reasonable quality and pricing of the coffee. read more

Such a cute little cafe! I stopped in for a cup of coffee and to sit and read a few chapters of my book. The barista was super friendly and efficient, making sure my coffee was exactly as I wanted it. The ambiance in the cafe is super cozy with Edison lights on the ceiling. This would be a great place to meet a friend for coffee or just hang out by yourself and read a book like I did. I wish I had discovered this café sooner! I'll definitely be back! read more

I so want to give this place a five-star review, but I've gone enough now that I cannot convince myself this is a place I should continue to give my business to. The first time I went was so great (great food, great service, great vibe), but I've become more disappointed every time. I really have hope that maybe it can be turned around because I did love it so much! Food -- I've ordered the breakfast sandwiches 3xs, and my last was when I had the most severe food poisoning of my life. Lucky for me, it was on my wedding anniversary. Since then I've stuck with pastries and held my breath while my husband continues to order meat/cooked foods. Pastries are fine, cookies are great. Service -- Is incredibly lacking. I think a big part of this is that it's kind of a college cafe, but I've lived in a college town as an adult and grew up in a college-dominated area. I know students/young people can be friendlier. Poor communication when ordering, long wait times for small food items and drinks... Ambiance -- Wow, this is part of why I love it! As a parent, I love that the kids' area is sectioned off so that my kids are not bothering anyone. It's honestly brilliant. Cleanliness is of course questionable after my experience with their food/health standards, but I will say it looks clean and I've never been to a gross table/seen particularly gross toys there. The main part of the cafe is absolutely adorable as well, very aesthetically pleasing. Very accommodating atmosphere. read more

Man. I keep trying this place, wanting to love it and continually am disappointed. Today, I ordered a drip coffee, mango and berry smoothie and 2 toasted bagels with cream cheese. The drip coffee was the only thing relatively accurate-but even that was cold. The thing that is hard for me to get past is the constant inaccuracy and timing of the orders. I'd be happier if it were quick and wrong or slow and correct. Never happens. Back to today's order-I was pleased that I only had to wait roughly 10 minutes. The line of 2 customers started after me so I wasn't there during a rush. My smoothie was only mango-no berry and my favorite part was this wait for food was to have the barista simply slice the bagels and not toast. I really hope this isn't the same experience for everyone but I will not try again. read more

I would say the set up is nice but they left the door open when it was 2 degrees outside. I walked in and got no greeting. The girl that took my order had no life in her. Super monotone, no smile and acted like she hated her job. I ordered the sausage and hash brown quiche with a hot mocha. The quiche was at least a day old and they just microwaved it. It was super dry and stale. Then the mocha just tasted like water. No flavor at all, couldn't even taste the espresso. I never write reviews on here but they were exceptionally terrible. Please, just save yourself the time and go anywhere else. Worst coffee experience of my life. read more

We went at 1:30 and they close at 2 and I was planning on getting my stuff and leaving anyways, but as soon as we got in the man didn't even say hi, and he just said we close soon so it's going to be to go. First of all it was Freezing in the building, noted as soon as I walked in. The staff was struggling to keep up as they were busy. It took 20 mins to get a black coffee. We ordered a hot dish and a pastry along with a black coffee (not a lot of preparation needed). Instead of pulling the one available pastry that was part of our order, they gave the one available pastry item to a customer that was behind us in line. The one item should have been pulled from the pastry case as we ordered so it would not be available for others behind us. Instead of that happening, 20 mins of waiting, we were told that they were out of our pastry item when I saw them serve it to a couple that was behind us in line. It seemed to lack any organization.
