Panini

I want to love this place! I've given it multiple chances. First time I went, my drink was incorrect. The 2nd time, I ordered an Italian soda and it was flat. No biggie- they corrected both times, but were quite rude as if I was an inconvenience to have my drink remade. Today. I ordered a panini. The price on the menu stated $11 but rang up $12. God forbid I mention there is a price discrepancy. They just didn't care! Very rude customer service! I mean, she literally tried to make me feel stupid for mentioning it. Below is my untoasted panini .... and it took 25 minutes!

This is a great place to meet up with friends or just stop in for a quick latte or bite to eat. A smattering of the usual breakfast fare can be found here and everything I have ordered has been very good quality. Bagels and other goodies can be found on the breakfast side and panini's etc for lunch. The staff are friendly and keep the place clean. There are many wood tables with chairs, a couple of couches, and some other softer seating to settle into. There are also several tables outside as well. This is a nice stop for Whitworh students and a good place for families to meet up with their kids that are going to school there. Not too many, if any, outlets for computers. So bring a freshly charged battery if you're going to do some studying. Pricing is on the higher side where a bagel sammie and drink will set you back around $11. Same goes for the panini.

When touring Whitworth, I stopped with a friend at this coffee shop for a quick lunch. The BLT panini was delicious and my Americano was also very good. The welcoming attitudes of the staff added positively to the cozy atmosphere, and the decor made it a unique experience. The service was slower, so it took awhile for us to receive our orders and the soup, while flavorful, was mostly broth. Overall though, I would likely return again if I'm in the area because of the originality of the shop and the reasonable quality and pricing of the coffee.

Such a cute little cafe! I stopped in for a cup of coffee and to sit and read a few chapters of my book. The barista was super friendly and efficient, making sure my coffee was exactly as I wanted it. The ambiance in the cafe is super cozy with Edison lights on the ceiling. This would be a great place to meet a friend for coffee or just hang out by yourself and read a book like I did. I wish I had discovered this café sooner! I'll definitely be back!

Went on a Sunday morning, so it was pretty busy when we came in. I was excited to try some Filipino…read moreflavors, which is hard to find in the area. I decided to try the ube latte with regular espresso and a pandan latte with white coffee. I got them both with oat milk. I was worried these would be too sweet but it actually was perfectly sweet and the flavors balanced out really well. The flavors are unique, I just wish there was more ice, which I will ask for next time. I saw they had ube crepes, but when we went they didn't have it and onto had ube croffles, so I decided to try that. We also wanted to try the chicken melt crepe. I really enjoyed the croffle, it had a delicious chocolate flavor but wish it had more ube flavor as it was very faint. The chicken melt crepe was okay, but not my favorite. I feel the lemon didn't match, and it was inconsistently seasoned. Some parts were extremely salty, while others were not salted at all. It was nice to try but I'd try something else next time. Overall I would return again, but I'd try a different crepe and hoping they have ube crepes next time I visit.

Their coffee drinks are phenomenal, they will always make you exactly what you want! They have Ube! Yummmm! For food they have these delicious croffles that are so soft and delicious, many varieties. They also offer crepes and sometimes even have homemade puddings to offer! I 100% recommend Cafe Boku to anyone.

The renovation was a great update with modern touches, but not over the top. It has tasteful decor with several nice Spokane iconic places. This is a down to earth breakfast and lunch place that just does the standard diner fair well. I got a Benny and my wife got an omelette. I judge every breakfast place by their Benedicts as the hollandaise sauce can be tricky and I can tell when it is from a packet. The egg was poached perfectly with a slightly running center. The ham was sliced thin and the hollandaise was fresh. The sauce could have used a bit more salt and pepper, but I was able to add that. A touch of lemon could have elevated a bit. However, it was a solid Benny. The omelette was great with fresh spinach, mushrooms and cheddar. The rye was toasted perfectly and was a fluffy thick piece. The hashbrowns were nice with a little onion, but prefer them extra crisp (but we probably should have requested that). All considered, Remi is a solid breakfast place with a focus to do a few things well rather than everything mediocre (which is smart). The service was kind, friendly and efficient. I will definitely return. This is a very nice addition to the North Spokane community.

They also have hot sauces and salsa that go really well on top. I went a little too early to try the black bean burger, but I will definitely be back for lunch to give it a shot. Also, Derek was very friendly and gave some of the best customer service I have seen in Spokane.
