I'm there, with Lucy - first in line every weekend! It has become one of our favorite rituals and my wife looks forward to our return with pastries. Service is fast, friendly, and patient with you when you can't decide which baked piece of deliciousness you want. Ambiance is beach / French cafe casual, with seating both indoors and outside. I finally got to come back to manhattan beach and give this place a try! What a small, beautiful and elegent bakery! I have to come back for more savory food and drink. They don't stay open into the afternoon, so you gotta come and get it before it closes. Everything at Little French Bakery Redondo is absolutely SO fresh and delicious. I always hope our favorites are available .. and maybe another impulse buy. Yesterday we had the Frenchy Baguette (my all-time favorite!) and the Apple Puff Pastry. The flakiness of the puff dough is del hourly incredible! We enjoyed a decadent double chocalate croissant, egg/cheese prosciuttto breakfast sandwich, and a hefty packed Parisian baguette sandwich with brie and prosciutto. My husband and I stopped by this cute little French bakery on a recent Sunday morning for some coffee and croissants pastries... I will say the name of this business suits itself perfectly... The place really is little but they pack a lot into their small storefront. We enjoyed our coffee and baked goods - I highly recommend the apple puff pastry and my husband and kids devoured the croissants. Service was pleasant and efficient but one thing worth noting is that I don't think this place allows modifications... my husband inquired about getting just a cup of chicken salad to go (as they had a chicken salad baguette sandwich on the menu). He was told that no-- they only offer the chicken salad on the sandwich. Even so, I would totally return for more coffee, croissants, pastries and perhaps even a fresh baguette or sandwich as well! read more

Omg! I loved their place. I try to not eat flour but I decided to try this place since I was done with my yoga practice. Picked up 2 almond and custard filled pastry. They are amazing! The croissant style party is topped with a macaroon-like paste, almonds, and powdered sugar and then filled with a lovely custard! Stopped by during their soft opening to get sandwich and a pastry during their soft opening. Everything is just as amazing as their South Redondo location! Parking is meh but if you are lucky to live in the neighborhood or taking a yoga class across the street, it's a no-brainer to stop in. I found this little gem a few months ago and I'm in love. In 2002 I lived in Paris and southern France for a few months. Ever since discovering Patisserie shops in France, I'm always on the lookout for not only a good French bakery, but a REAL French bakery. I'm just glad I don't live too close because I would eat here too often and eventually go broke.
