I looked up a local bagel shop and went to Uncle Stevey's! PERFECTION! I loved their bagel flavors - I ended up getting cheddar hot honey, chili garlic crunch and an everything bagel with a container of scallion cream cheese. I was in and out in two minutes tops! I went home to make some eggs, turkey bacon, avocado, and matcha to make a nice breakfast at home and it fully satisfied my craving. The everything bagel had a great amount of topping, the chili garlic crunch had a nice heat, and the cheddar hot honey was perfectly sweet with a cheesy crust. I would probably mainly get a half dozen to go again, but the shop had a great ambiance and I wouldn't mind eating there and taking a walk around the neighborhood. Parking was ample and really easy too!

The chili garlic bagel paired so well and was toasted perfectly. The Lew was good as well but I'm sauce girl so hot sauce or additional cream cheese would have made this one shine even brighter. Ordered to go but they have some seating indoor and outdoor available.

My daughter had to be at her meet by 6:45, so I showed up at 6:15 to pick up some bagels for breakfast. No one was in there when I arrived but the employees seemed to be working on take out orders already. Their menu had the right amount of breakfast type of bagel sandwiches that I was looking for - a bagel with cream cheese, a bagel & egg only sandwich, and a bacon, egg, and cheese bagel. The bagel consistency was nice and chewy. The only qualm was with hubby's order. I asked for easy on the cream cheese and his bagel ended up with A LOT of it on his bagel so he had to scrape it off. Usually I'd eat the extra cream cheese but I had a bagel breakfast sandwich instead. *Note for next time: Get the bagel sliced and toasted with the cream cheese on the side I also picked up a loaf of their sourdough bread. Hubby is picky about sourdough but he really enjoyed the tang/flavor of their bread. It would definitely be somewhere to stop by when we're passing through or in the area again.

Bagels are chewy and very flavorful. We usually buy a half dozen with a cream cheese tub and toast them at home. What we don't eat that day go in the freezer. The staff does an adequate job taking orders but it always amuses me how 3 varieties of 6 bagels becomes a memory challenge that requires multiple times repeating the order. This has been true at every one of the half dozen bagel shops we have visited. There is plenty of parking behind the store and the seating inside is adequate as well. The electronic menu boards suffer from the same shortcoming that every establishment that uses them. You need to wait until the screen that you want to read pops up again. Would recommend for great bagels. At this point, haven't tried the sandwiches or anything else on the menu except for the rye bread loaf which didn't pack the same punch as the bagels.

The crust had…read morethe perfect golden crunch, while the inside was soft, airy, and full of that classic tangy sourdough flavor. You can tell it's made with care, the texture and taste felt authentic and fresh, not overly processed like many store-bought options. After not being able to eat bread for two years, I'm so happy to finally enjoy sourdough again, this made the experience even more special. Sourdough bread is one of the healthiest options due to its natural fermentation process, and I'm glad I found a place that truly lets it properly ferment, you can taste the difference. At just $5 a loaf, it's also a great value for the quality you get. It pairs beautifully with just about anything, from butter to avocado or even on its own. Whether you're making toast or a sandwich, it elevates the whole experience. I'll definitely be coming back every week to pick up my loaf! Staff are very kind. Street parking.

I especially love that the sandwiches are named after local spots in El Segundo -- such a fun, thoughtful touch that makes it feel even more connected to the community. Definitely a go-to local gem!

Went into here today this morning and did not appreciate the frigid employee Lorena who gave me her bad attitude when I asked if they can rush my order since I was short on time. If she had need any of her orders rushed and the role was reversed, I'd be glad to help her with that. She turned around and scolded me with her obnoxious rude af foul attitude that I can call in for my order before I got here. I was driving, ain't no way I'm calling when I have to focus on my driving. I didn't ask for her opinion. Let alone her mouth of talking back to me. Just do what the customer wants and shut up. DUH. Furthermore, who the hell talks to customers that way? If she's not happy to work here or she's not getting laid in her life therefore making her be such a bitch, then don't work here. Her customer service attitude was SO WACK. If she's having a bad morning, don't let that shit out on customers. We are the ones paying your ass (your paycheck is from our money). General Manager guy, when you stand at the next register, look up at your surroundings to notice so you can greet your customers. That, being me. You should por favor train yourself and your staff to be more professional of nicer etiquette. No one deserves to be treated like that. By her. And you got young employees walking around looking busy working but ONLY ONE register open with one cashier while next register can be used too but isn't while you have a long line, makes NO sense. At all. Period. Train your young employees to work faster. Help the customers out in line and ordering. I saw the one dude in front of the line ordering took forever like he was struggling and then he walked to the side unprepared without the young cashier trying to help him out with making his order go smoother and faster. No wonder the line hardly moves. Why have 2 registers for when you're only using just one? Emphasis on only using just one. Makes no sense at all. We customers want to get in and get out. Not be there stuck in the sloth line. DO better.

They have those soft croissants that taste like there's butter in every bite (not how other places sell crusty crunchy croissants). This place is a good little spot to stop by before/after grocery shopping at the Vons next door. Or to hangout and enjoy the music while waiting on the nearby laundry mat machines to finish. [Parking]: The cafe is located in the same parking lot as Vons and I haven't had any issues finding available parking spots during my visits. [Atmosphere]: Nothing to write home about and the interior decor was meh. I initially thought it was a donut shop, but they mostly sell breakfast sandwiches, croissants, and cookies now. There are few tables both indoors and outdoors. [Ordering]: Order at the counter, receive a buzzer, grab a table, and pick up your order at the counter when the buzzer rings. [Menu]: They sell breakfast sandwiches, deli items, cookies (e.g. ube) and coffee drinks. Yelp's top recommendation is breakfast sandwiches. Customers need to choose a style (e.g. Original Breakfast), bread (e.g. croissant), and meat (e.g. bacon). The staff recommended the bacon breakfast croissant. For drinks, the store has a sign stating Caramel Ice Coffee, Vanilla Latte, Matcha Latte, Fruit Tea, Cream Foam Thai Tea, and Vietnamese Iced Coffee. *** Original Breakfast (meat, egg, Swiss cheese, tomato, avocado - bread = croissant + meat = bacon - $13.65): Soft croissant and I was a fan of the fillings - two thumbs up. Almond Croissant ($5.35): Interesting croissant and not what I was expecting as it had almond paste filling rather than almond slices. The bread was fluffy but a bit cold. *** Overall this is a solid café for locals to stop by. P.S. - Redondo Beach Dog Park is just around the corner.
