Ok, this is a takeout follow up/update. First of all, my apologies to the proprietors about my previous review. It was for a DIFFERENT restaurant in Independence, NOT Windermere. This was my families FIRST time here. Now, the key part we all care about... The food: Wow! We had the chicken plate and a gyro pita, both with their house salad. Oh My Gosh. So delicious. Their salad dressing is amazing. Not your standard, one note sour oily mess. This dressing is depth of flavor with a crazy combo of their AMAZING potato salad! Both of our plates were filled with tender, juicy, flavorful meat! I can't even say much about the rice, which is a whole other level of flavorful! It's a simple, locals kind of place that clean, simple and warm.. I think they have another location, whatever the case may be, if you're looking for American Greek faire, this is it! read more

I had an awful experience here. we ordered take out, we ordered two gyros and hummus. The hummus had a bitter taste, making me feel like it was old. The two gyros were over cooked, leaving the meat being dry. And there was no tzatziki sauce. I called to get a refund, they said we would have to bring the food back. So we did. A week goes by and I still don't have my refund. I call and the manger is asking for the receipt number. Which was attached to the bag that we returned. He's stating that he had no idea there was a refund. He's asking for my FULL credit card number, not just the last 4 digits. and it's starting to become suspicious. So I ask if I can just come in for a cash refund. But of course they don't do that. The manager cares a lot about the success of this Little Greek Fresh Grill location. He took time to personally call me to apologize for the poor experience we had and invited us to come back with courtesy meals to try them again and look for improvements. So thank you Carlos, for your time and for your eagerness to make things better. We stopped in on August 15th to try this Windermere location again. We did not order the same meals as the first time, so I cannot attest to if the steak has gotten better or not. However, we ordered the Gyro Platter and the Light Fare Chicken Skewers with rice which both came with small Greek salads. Additionally, we ordered the Dolmades (grape leaves) and Baklava. We were greeted when we came in the door, our orders were taken once the employee located our name on the list for courtesy meals, and our orders were ready within 15 minutes. Service was much better and everything we ordered was delicious. We thank you for allowing us the opportunity to come back and try your restaurant out again and had a much better experience this time. The staff did a much better job, and the food was much more enjoyable. I'm came here for my usual, the Gyro platter with rice and Greek salad. I was surprised to find out that platter didn't come with the pita bread anymore. I asked the older gentleman, looked like the manager or the owner if it came with pita and he said no. The menu description and even on the Yelp page says it comes with pita. This is about a restaurant, not my unexpected love for frickin Florida! I'm a horribly picky eater. While there, my buddy and I got in a huge fight because of it. I chose the Greek salad, which was a large portion of lettuce, tomato slice, olives, potato salad, a slice of beet, feta cheese, and an excellent oil and vinegar based Greek dressing. I stopped by the check out the Little Greek Fresh Grill at approximately 4:00pm today. I order a lamb gyro, no tomato, with a side of Greek potatoes, and a fountain drink. The restaurant was empty at the time and very clean. The staff was attentive, smiling, and friendly. The meal was a total of about $16. You will pay at the time you order, while at the "order here" counter. A tip option will come up. I normally do not tip at any place where I go up and order at a counter but did tip 15% not knowing what I was tipping for exactly. I received a table tent number and sat down after getting my soft drink. They bring the food to your table and clean up after you when you're done, so figure that into your own tip algorithm, hence why there's a tip option when you pay prior to receiving your meal. The potatoes were hot and pretty good (Althena's in Maitland still has the best darn Greek roasted potatoes EVER) and flavorful. The gyro contained fresh lettuce, the right amount of onions, delicious dollops of tzatziki sauce, a fresh and delicious pita, and LOADS of gyro lamb meat (Perfection). The only place the gyro failed IMO was probably due to the time of my visit, so I will take the hit on this one. The meat contained a lot of hard pieces, probably from sitting on the skewer for so long between lunch meals and dinner meals (I did arrive just about 4:00pm), and thus the outside edges became over cooked and hard. Overall, the staff, the value, and the amount of food I received would guide me to a recommendation of checking this little place out. I will try it again when they're a bit more busy to see if the freshness of the meat matches the freshness of all the other ingredients of the gyro and potatoes. Still one of my favorite places to grab a quick lunch. I order on the app, and it's ready for me to grab and go! My go-to is the Greek Chicken Pita with fries. I get home and have to add red wine vinegar to the fries because they remind me of fair fries from back home. The pita itself is always well balanced, well seasoned, and well made. I am from New Jersey and Gyro platters are a staple in the diners around Jersey. I am proud to say Little Greek makes an excellent Gyro and probably the best Greek Salad you can have. The Gyro is stuffed with shaved meat, lettuce, tomato, onions and tzatiki sauce. It is large enough it needs to be handled with two hands. The meat is flavorful, the tzatiki is creamy and doesn't have a strong cucumber flavor like some. Perfect! The Greek Salad is top notch. It is simple with lettuce, olives, tomato, onion, olives and a ring of bell pepper. There is also a Greek potato salad a beet and feta cheese on top. The Greek dressing is perfect!! One of the things that is frustrating about the Orlando area is the lack of "mom and pop" type Greek restaurants. Little Greek fills that void nicely with all the Greek staples you know and love in a small fast casual restaurant. I personally prefer the gyro platter which comes with a hearty portion of hot gyro meat over rice and a small Greek salad and a scoop of potato salad. I would recommend getting the dressing on the side since it's a bit syrupy and sweet and not like a homemade lighter dressing. Service is OK here, but they frequently miss special requests on orders. Pitas are also generally served cold where as other Little Greek locations will warm them up. Overall these are nit picky things and Little Greek is a great option for lunch or dinner if you are craving Greek! read more

Ordering online was really easy and intuitive. No problem placing the order or paying using Apple Pay. I ordered at around 5:05PM and scheduled to pick up the order at 6:30PM (allowing for rush hour traffic and not wanting to get the worst of it between 5 and 6. I left home around 6:00PM to drive over - expecting to hit some heavy traffic - but there was none. So I arrived at the Little Greek at 6:10PM. I was surprised that, when I told the server I was early - she turned around and picked my order off the shelf immediately- and said it had been ready for a little while? If you order something to be ready for collection at 6:30PM - why would it be ready so early? IT WAS COLD. No problem I thought - I can "nuke it" in the microwave. Well that didn't work out so well. Tzatziki sauce is not nice hot, neither is lettuce! The fries were stone cold, limp and greasy. The only thing that nuked well was the pita bread and the giro meat. I'd recommend the Little Greek and I've used it before - but I can't recommend that you order online unless you order it for imminent collection! Also the only reason we ordered online for collection was that the last 3 times, they've got the order wrong when we've ordered at the counter (but at least it was hot). The only other time we used them was for a Grubhub delivery - but that never arrived because the driver dropped it at a house on the other side of our development (we got a refund for that one. Despite all of this drama - I'm giving them a 3 star for the gyros. They're tasty (even if cold). read more
