After days of nonstop Disney and Universal, we were seriously in need of a hearty meal to refuel, and Abdo Kabab absolutely delivered. The food was flavorful, the portions were generous, and the value for the price was excellent. We had to order the Damascus bread after seeing (and smelling) it at another table , freshly baked, warm, and impossible to resist. The food here is really good. Packed with flavor and generous portions. The Damascus bread is especially delicious. The meat was tender and juicy, and the service was great. We enjoyed this place so much that we came two days in a row, and the staff remembered us and made us feel very welcome. I also loved the "no WiFi" sign was funny and added to the charm. I was working in the area and stopped in to get a quick bite to eat. I believe this is some type of fusion restaurant because they Offer gyro pizzas. I thought that was pretty cool, I ended up ordering irregular gyro being in a hurry. It came as a rap that was pressed. This actually seemed to make it healthier by reducing the amount of carbs per servand easier to handle in my hands and less messy. The food was absolutely great and I have 0 complaints about. The restaurant itself looks great! There's one particular booth that looks extra fancy see so I'm guessing you have to order something special to sit there? I ordered a small Gyro Pizza with beef and lamb seasoned gyro meat with Mediterranean herbs, tomato, onions, peppers and cheese $10.99. This was a tasty tasty pizza and one that I will order again. While on a family vacation in Orlando Florida we decided after a few days or resort food we wanted something a little different. We opted for Abdo Kabab due to it being fairly close to where we were staying ( about 2 miles ) and for my hankering for Med Food. I forced my kids to go as they are notoriously picky eaters and we made the trip. We ordered our food and everyone in the party was very satisified, the food was clearly cooked freshly and everything was tasty and somewhat reasonably priced. You can tell the food is good as my picky eater kids even enjoyed it. The food was so good that the next day when we were having a "Stay at the resort all day" day, I ordered online , went and picked it up and snuck it back in the resort to the poolside Cabana we were in !!! My only gripe is I wish they had their own online ordering, vs offering Doordash and then having Doordash mark up their food pricing. But a minor gripe and if we had more time I would have just ordered it in person. Highly recommended read more

We were staying at the Hyatt Regency Grand Cypress which is about a block away and wanted to get some dinner. This place is in a somewhat sketchy stripmall plaza, but it was close to our hotel so we decided to go since we were craving something other than burgers, tacos, or other fast foodish junk. Let me start by saying that almost all of the food we had in Orlando near the theme parks were pretty average. If you live near other big cities (we live in Los Angeles), you have access to alot of great food, including Kababs and other Persian foods. Anyway, we got a large cheese pizza for our son and nephew to share. My wife and I got the Kufta Kabab platter. Both were very average and, in my opinion, very salty. The price of the food was on par of what we would pay in Los Angeles, but this is Orlando, so I would have expected this to be a little less expensive. Nonetheless, despite the price, I don't think the food was very good, especially if you've had good Persian food from Los Angeles. I guess if you don't have a lot of Persian food near you, this is a decent choice, but there are definitely better places to eat elsewhere. read more

You order at the counter with their courteous staff who bring the food to your table after a short wait. We enjoyed the shawarma over rice and kufta beef kabob. Both are served with grilled veggies and rice, colorful and pleasing to the eye. The shawarma was served with chicken although it was not clearly indicated (chicken is listed as the meat in the shawarma wrap but not the plate). The food was overall delicious with complex flavors and aromatic spices, and not overly salty. I am typically more of a beef fan but actually loved the chicken more! I ordered a gyro plate for myself and made a critical error - I have an egg allergy, and I had forgotten to ask for the garlic sauce that it was topped with to be left off. For a hole-in-the-wall Mediterranean place I was pleasantly surprised by the food. I had the gyro wrap, and the house garlic sauce gave it a very different flavor profile from the usual tzatziki sauce. The parts that are authentic look great, and the fusiony aspects are also great.
