We're always on the lookout for a special splurge worthy Miami Sunday Brunch, and Little Hen is one of the most highly recommended popular spots. Finally, today was the lucky date! We made a reservation last week and chose indoor seating, due to the Miami summer heat and humidity. The patio is SO very GoRgEoUs! The lush flowery landscape and canape are TDF...like a victorian lady's fever dream. Plush outdoor couches, beautifully appointed table dressings, WOW! We were sat immediately by the friendly chatty staff in the beautiful dining room. Our waitress is "Precious", well named. She steered us right add recommended drinks and the like for our taste. Table water will cost you $1 per person. I asked what type of vodka they have. It is "wine vodka?!" She states it is "wine based", so from grapes (decidedly NOT vodka haha) I choose an espresso martini, entirely delicious, but small and without the usual three coffee bean garnish. Pricy, but I'd get it again. Hubby gets a special coffee and a Bloody Mary. The latter came with shrimp, bacon & veggie, celery. He loved it! Timing was great, no rush tho it's busy. Wait staff Precious brings water for our service animal Ashoka, who dutifully remained hidden undertable, as always a very good girl! I got Chia pudding for my first time, small and pricy, but very enjoyable. Hubby had steak & eggs. He also enjoyed it thoroughly! We really enjoyed our posh brunch today at Little Hen. I recommend it for a fine splurge, but at around $100 for two, it's a special occasion deal. Check it out for a bday or similar, and be prepared to pay for your experience. *Expert tip-come early to find parking--it's a super popular new area! Thx 4 following me. The food is better than expected for such an aesthetic place. Ngl though it still felt like a tourist trap. Everyone around us was def from out of town. The biggest tell for me is when you get kicked out immediately after eating. Several people at our table ordered their tea tray, which is very cute but very overpriced for what you get. For how much we spent, I would hope we would be given some grace, but very shortly after finishing we were told to leave. Personally I consider this unacceptable. Food was good, but wouldn't recommend.
The food at Little Hen never misses. Service is always fast, extremely sweet staff and the ambiance is perfect for a group brunch where you are your group can dress up nice and enjoy some incredible food. Can't go wrong here with their eggs, pancakes and French toast, those are my top three items, check em' out! Steph approved!
I really wanted to love Little Hen Miami because it truly is such a cute, aesthetic spot. The décor is beautiful, very feminine and picture-perfect especially for something like a baby shower, which is why we chose it. Unfortunately, the experience didn't match the vibe. Some people , though it states they enforced dress code, were allowed in sweats, crop tops, ripped jeans, which is fine of course but maybe don't mention dress code is enforced then when it's not. We were seated outside, and the outdoor fan close to us wasn't working. We had two pregnant women in our party, so the heat made things uncomfortable. On top of that, the service was very slow. Our server barely checked in, and we had to repeatedly flag someone down to get assistance while staff was chatting it up inside. The cones for the tea party arrived about 40 minutes after the rest of the food, even though we were told it would only be 20 minutes. (It disrupts the whole flow of the experience for sure). The sever did apologize. She was nice throughout too. What was most disappointing, though, was how my service dog situation was handled. The manager came to tell me my service dog couldn't be on my lap and kept repeating that he couldn't be "on the furniture." I explained that he is a trained service dog who provides pressure therapy for my anxiety. I also offered to show him his documentation to which he replied that he doesn't need to see it and that it doesn't matter what tasks he does and he has to be on the floor. (My service dog is very calm, quiet, and not bothering anyone). Being approached that way felt uncomfortable and unnecessary while it's of course also not compliant with ADA law...seems the manager needs training urgently. Also worth noting: they don't offer hot water refills for tea, which is surprising for a tea-focused spot, especially since most other high tea places do. It's definitely a beautiful place for photos and special occasions, but between the slow service, lack of check-ins, outdoor fan setup issues, and how the service dog situation was handled, it just wasn't the experience we hoped for.
Second time at Little Hen and it's still one of the cutest brunch spots. The whole place has girly tea party vibes with floral decor everywhere. It's very aesthetic and definitely a perfect brunch place for the girls. This place is almost always busy so make a reservation and be on time. We were a little late and lost our table, but we were able to get another one about an hour later, which honestly was not too bad considering how packed it gets. I ordered the steak and eggs. The steak was flavorful and cooked well but for about $40 the portion felt a little small. The truffle fries were great and the rose pancakes are a must order. If you like fruity pebbles, they taste like fruit pebbles.

I stopped in on a Monday morning for a casual brunch while walking between Wynwood Walls and the Design District, and it was an easy walk-in. Location-wise, it's a convenient and pleasant stop if you're already exploring the art and design scene nearby. The space is undeniably charming. It's small but thoughtfully styled, with florals everywhere--on the walls, in the décor, and even incorporated into the drinks. Bright, cheerful, and very photo-friendly, the ambiance is a big part of the appeal. Service * Friendly and attentive staff * Relaxed, unhurried pace on a weekday morning * Smooth walk-in experience Food & Drinks * Lychee Martini - light, floral, and fun, finished with a rose petal; a nice brunch cocktail * Short Rib Beef Benedict - decent but underwhelming; the short rib lacked the rich, fall-apart tenderness you'd expect, and the overall flavor didn't quite pop * Menu felt a bit scattered, making it harder to identify true standouts Verdict Little Hen excels in atmosphere, location, and presentation, making it a pleasant stop during a Wynwood or Design District outing. If the kitchen sharpened flavors and refined a few key dishes, this could easily be a five-star brunch destination. As it stands, it's a solid four stars--worth visiting for the vibe, especially if you're already nearby.
If we could provide a rating for decor and ambiance, Little Hen would receive a five out of five. This is by far the most aesthetically appealing restaurant in the area and follows through with their theme down to the tiny details. However, this is a restaurant and not a movie set and the overall rating would be two stars out of five. Upon arrival our party was greeted and seated. Our seating was pretty tight and not practical for the group size nor dishes on the table, especially brunch and tea pots and "tiered trays" but still cute nonetheless. Our server was kind and took time to explain the menu and suggestions. What the server did not mention though is that the $42 afternoon tea consisted of what can be summed up as one tray and not a whole three tiered tray as advertised. It was completely disappointing and one hundred percent not worth the price tag, not even for fun. The items were not very exciting, the best thing on there out of the very few options had to be the scone. The house tea was nice and was made with lemon and mint, it was a redeeming quality of the tea package though you had to make sure you had it quickly as the tea pots didn't exactly keep the tea hot. The "chicken" and waffle were essentially chicken tenders with a waffle, not actual chicken and waffle, again for the cost, I expected better. The steak and eggs were okay. The avocado toast was quite underwhelming as well as the pancakes. The fries and hash browns were the better tasting items that were ordered, thankfully. The mimosas and coffee were not bad. The chocolate dessert was not enjoyed as it did not feel balanced. Little Hen seems to be more of a social experience than somewhere you'd want to actually sit and eat and have a great culinary experience. Beware of the advertising of the afternoon tea "tiered trays" as you're not getting much with that. The price tag associated with this experience isn't necessarily worth it in my experience however the decor is absolutely stunning if you just want to get dolled up and enjoy a cup of tea with a friend. Though I love the concept, I can't say that I'll be in a rush to return.
This was my most memorable brunch ever! Mom and I came here while on vacation because of the aesthetic honestly but we were absolutely blown away by the delicious food!! My profile picture is from that day actually :) the rose pancakes my mom got were beautifully done, and my afternoon tea gave me life. I was also blown away by the service we received! We left this place so happy and still think about it all the time. I'm so sad there aren't any locations near me!
On vacation and booked reservations here to celebrate a birthday. If you're looking for someplace pretty to eat at with social media photo capabilities then this is a good place for you. Hope you don't mind price and slower service though. We had a party of 6 and our bill was over $700 , we did each have a 'pretty' drink and the rumors are true - you are charged for tap water per person which they don't tell you until you see the bill. Not knocking the place but just didn't seem worth the price tag. Parking sucks - either street if you're lucky if not pay for valet like we did. Had a reservation but seated outside where it was super hot instead of inside where it was nice and air conditioned.ambiance is great as the flowers look so real! Outdoor Seating was meh not real comfortable. The service was ok, server was nice - called us all princess. But it was slow - took a while for everything which was puzzling as it was a weekday , 2p and towards their closing time . They even forgot a drink and food item that came our way after everything else. Portion size is ok. Food was slightly better than ok but not worth the $25 price tag per item pretty much. I don't see a reason to try again.
Little hen is very aesthetically pleasing. Beautiful floral decor. The blue furniture really makes the wallpaper pop. Very beautiful outdoor seating available as well. We visited about an hour before closing so it was less crowded. Service was great. We ordered a few drinks to start. My eye caught the cotton candy champagne rose, light and sweet with a little spice at the end. I ordered the steak and fries - steak was tender and I love the mushroom sauce. I've been waiting to try little hen for a long time now and I'm so happy that I did my experience was fantastic! I loved everything about here and I highly recommend people to go try it! Service [5/5]: The service was extremely friendly and fast. Our server had some great recommendations for us and she was very sweet! The food was brought out at a pretty good time and we were constantly being checked on despite the restaurant being extremely busy. P.S. you have to reserve because it is so busy, we were actually 20 minutes late to our reservation but thankfully the host sat us outside in a perfect spot. Ambiance [5/5]: This restaurant is definitely one of the more prettier places I've been to. If you're looking for a more.. floral garden type of aesthetic then this is definitely the place to go to, especially with the outdoor seating! Inside looks just as beautiful as outside but in general it felt like I was in a garden, very beautiful scenery me and my cousin enjoyed the scenery so much and there are so many photo taking spots on the outside of Little Hen! It's just beautiful! Food [5/5]: With a place with such decorum you already know the food is gonna be just as good! The food was absolutely DELICIOUS! Strawberry Compote (pancakes): These were three mini fluffy pancakes, with powdered sugar, and strawberries and blueberries. The presentation is just chef's freaking kiss, BEAUTIFUL! but the taste is even better! tastes like buttermilk heaven on a plate absolutely worth getting, BUT.. it's not filling! so i'd get something on the side but it was still delicious! [5/5] highly recommend! Avocado salmon toast: YUMMM!!! This is SO delicious and one of the best avocado toast i've ever had! The salmon and egg combo was just so freaking good! The avocado spread is also really delicious too! I highly recommend getting this!! HIGHLY!! This is also filling!! [5/5] Nutella croissants: It was delicious! extremely chocolatey! I couldn't eat everything I saved that for dessert when I got home but it was amazing nontheless! If you have a sweet tooth you'll enjoy it! [5/5] I didn't taste what my cousin had, but she said she enjoyed it a lot, our server also said it's pretty popular too and it did look good! TLDR: Overall Little Hen is definitely a place you should try at least once not only for the fantastic food but for aesthetics as well! I had an amazing brunch with my friend and her Mother. I love the unique ambience of Little Hen. The food was sumptuous and savory as always. Our waitress, Ana was great. She recommended some items to try and they were great. I love my Truffle Omelet, but I did try some other new dishes. Food is always spot on. Exceptional service. Little Hen is a unique and unapologetically girly restaurant complete with gorgeous flower decor, fun drinks, and an Afternoon Tea spread that transports you to the 2012 Brit pop culture takeover days. Though the restaurant was busy on the Sunday I visited, I was seated right at my reservation time and my waitress was wonderful, checking in on my table constantly and making great recommendations. I was worried the Afternoon Tea would leave me a bit hungry, but it was the perfect amount of food and I enjoyed it thoroughly! The dish comes with two scones with jam and clotted cream (don't knock it till you try it!), 5 mini sandwiches, 2 macarons, a truffle chocolate, and a pot of tea with cream and sugar. The stand-outs for me were the Cucumber and Dill sandwich, the Smoked Salmon sandwich, and the scones with clotted cream. If you're looking for a unique spot to celebrate a birthday, engagement, pregnancy, or just get dressed up and have a meal with your girlfriends, this is a great place to do it! read more

Little Hen is a girls dream. It is the perfect brunch spot for a girls day out, bridal shower, or fancy brunch. The restaurant has indoor and outdoor seating. Reservations are recommended as it gets very busy. There are beautiful flowers everywhere. It is quite loud inside but the ambiance is gorgeous. Service is excellent and the food is good. I recommend that you dress up a little but it is not necessary. They play their own music that is available on Spotify. I have been here several times and have never had a bad meal. It is a place to people watch and enjoy the scenery. read more

Found the cutest breakfast/brunch spot. First off, it screams girlie. So many fresh flowers and flower decor. Beautiful inside, friendly staff. Now the food... amazing!! My husband had the French toast with bacon. Big and fluffy and yummy. I had the Salmon bagel. OMG. 1- it was gorgeous 2- so incredibly good. Tons of salmon, fresh delicious tomatoes... good. Good. I came to little hen for a birthday tea with a few of my homegirls and her friends. Once you enter you are greeted with a gorgeous restaurant full of florals and cutesy decor. RESERVATIONS ARE HIGHLY RECOMMENDED. I opted to have the afternoon tea for $38 and chose the house tea blend. It was very good but I definitely recommend adding some sugar for an even better taste. For food I got the steak and eggs that comes with the wild mushroom sauce and fries. The steak was very juicy and the fries were delicious. The eggs were okay they needed a bit more flavor so I recommend adding salt and pepper. The entire afternoon tea was very cute with lots of options that included macaroons, finger sandwiches, butters, and jams. It's a whole spread that can be shared between 2-3 people. Overall I'd rate this place a 9/10. The only cons is if you have a big party the tables are very small and it's hard to fit everything. Als We warned they do charge an automatic 20% service fee and "filtered" tap water is a $1 surcharge as well. read more

This is a beautiful place for brunch or breakfast. There are many photo opportunities, and the food was yummy, very fresh and flavorful. I'd personally skip the hashbrown but the chilaquiles and pancakes were delicious and I'd come back for that. read more

We didn't have a reservation but were able to be seated since it wasn't busy. There is only street metered parking and it can be challenging to find one. The ambiance is very cute, quaint, and girly. The waitresses are very attentive and offer great services! The menu has plenty of options to choose from; however, the food, other than the banana waffle tasted very bland and had no flavor. The banana sauce on the waffle was sweet and pretty enjoyable, but the rest of the food we ordered, including the coffee fell short on the taste. The truffle fries have a weird taste, almost like the cheese they add on top is expired or not fresh. I really wished the food was pleasant since the place and decor were beautiful, but unfortunately the food was not great and the prices were high. We had a wedding in homestead and the day after we spent a day in miami and were told to come to the little hen. I'm so glad we did. I started with the espresso martini and it was very good, coffee forward not too sweet but you could taste the alcohol. The table ordered all different entrees, the carbonara omelette was my favorite. The texture of the eggs was perfect and the flavor was delicious. The short rib eggs Benedict was good, cooked well, the onions were a good addition, Benedict's just aren't my bag. The bourbon bacon French toast was sooo tasty. Loved the sauce and preparation of the toast. The rose pancakes were beautiful and the texture was on point, but I wouldn't ever order them as my main. It was a bit of a novelty read more

Such a cute place! Very dainty and girly and such a perfect place for breakfast and brunch. We made reservations for 12 pm and enjoyed brunch here. The food was good and there's a lot of options to choose from. They have a lot of pastries as well. I got the Carbonera Omelette which was delicious! I also shared the Rose Pancakes and they were very good. Interesting and yummy. They do taste like roses. The syrup is also rose flavored. The iced oat-milk latte was also good. Refreshing! The service was good, the waitresses were all friendly. There is outside seating as well which is very nice and everything is decorated with flowers We sat inside which was nice and comfortable, but it was a little warm. I would come back again! read more
I am obsessed with this restaurant.I love aesthetically cute shabby chic spaces, tea ware, good food, brunch, and photo worthy places. Little Hen takes all of my favorite things and puts them under one roof. I highly recommend coming here for brunch time. They have creative dishes that will look incredible in all your Yelp photos and taste amazing. On a trip last month, I tried their Israeli salad and churrasco street tacos. Both were absolutely divine. The churrasco was flavored and cooked to perfection. And the salad was incredibly refreshing. I love their food because it doesn't leave me feeling heavy. They serve the right amount of food with high quality ingredients. Their coffee here is also super yummy. I like their iced mocha. If you're coming for brunch (which you totally should), be sure to make a reservation. It can get packed here. The rose petal pancakes are a must. They're stacked high and are pretty rose forward, so they're good to share with a friend as dessert. If you're looking for a great brunch spot, look no further. read more

I saw this place and I just KNEW I had to come and bring my daughter. It was just the cutest place ever. We wanted to try some of everything breakfast dessert and Tea so we can hold our pinkies out lol I got the Banana Foster French toast ! 10/10 As well as the " After noon tea " which comes with Mini Sandwiches, Macaroons/ Scones and tea. Also 10/10 Service was amazing. They were attentive and quick. And don't forget to dress up and get picture ready!! It was so many photo opps! read more

I asked my friends on social media to please give me recommendations for a good brunch spot, and a lot of them mentioned Little Hen, so I gave it a shot this past Sunday. I recommend making reservations in advance, because they do fill up and there will be a wait if you're a walk in. Service was good, ambiance was very cute. It had a very feminine/floral tea vibe. I could see this place being the perfect spot for a Mother's Day or Bridal Shower brunch. Or maybe like a brunch with all your girls, Instagram photo worthy. Menu options were great and the food and cocktails were delicious. I literally do not have any complaints. I barely give a 5 star review, but this place really did hit all the spots for me. absolutely loved our brunch at little hens -- beautiful space, delicious food, and amazing service every dish was beautifully presented and bursting with flavor. the huevos divorciados were a standout -- perfectly cooked eggs nestled in vibrant red and green sauces, with tender steak and fresh avocado. the balance of flavor and texture was just right. the omelet was light and fluffy, filled with fresh veggies and topped with creamy sauce and crispy bacon bits. the side of toast and potato cake added a great crunch and heartiness to the plate. the atmosphere was drop-dead gorgeous -- floral wallpaper, chandeliers, plush seating, and an elegant but cozy vibe that made it feel special yet comfortable. service was great -- everyone was friendly, attentive, and made us feel right at home without rushing us. little hens nailed both the aesthetics and the flavors. such a lovely brunch spot -- can't wait to come back. read more
Our server Jordan was the highlight. She was wonderful. Gave us great recommendations with colorful explanations. The chai latte was delicious! The OJ was freshly squeezed and sweet, we were fans. Chilaquiles were good, nothing to write home to your mother about. Carbonara omelette didn't taste much like carbonara, so should maybe rethink the name there. The chairs were nice and comfy! We had an excellent Easter brunch at Little Hen. They had a Prix Fixe menu because of the holiday, and it had several nice touches. The pastry tower to start was delicious, the scone with creme and strawberry's truly delicious. The mains (chilaquiles, chicken & waffles) were both delicious. My only complaint was that it was too much food! The restaurant is incredibly beautiful, the patio especially with hanging flowers feels like a serene garden isolated from the city. The service was fantastic as well. Highly recommend. read more
Went here for a work meeting so I wasn't able to take photos. But the place was absolutely adorable. Atmosphere and decor are like a chic tea party vibe. I ordered the chocolate pancakes and truffle omelet. My lunch mates ordered club sandwich and churrasco. We all left full and satisfied. My friend had to have them cook the churrasco more as it was more rare and medium rare. Server quickly had it fixed! read more

I'd seen Little Hen on several top breakfast lists and was eager to try it out. I arrived around 10 AM on a Monday and saw a line outside, but there was no wait once I got inside--don't be discouraged by the line; it's just because the host stands outside. Atmosphere // The vibe is charmingly Victorian, with beautiful place settings, elegant seating, and flowers everywhere. It's very picturesque! ---- A couple of downsides: construction next door makes it a bit noisy outside, and there are a lot of birds hopping around. They do their best to keep them away, but if you're not a fan, it's something to consider. Carbonara Omelet (with modifications) // I subbed egg whites and skipped the pepper jack cheese. It was delicious, and the flavor was spot-on, though the croissant and egg whites had an extra charge. Still, it was well worth it. Blueberry Mimosa // They were out of orange juice (not ideal for a breakfast spot), so I tried the blueberry mimosa. It was fantastic! I asked for a splash of blueberry syrup to keep it from being too sweet, and it was the perfect balance. Service // The service was attentive and friendly. The food came quickly, and I appreciated that they didn't rush me, allowing me to enjoy my meal at my own pace. Overall, a great experience--I'll definitely be back! read more

We've been trying to come to this restaurant for many months, but there's never availability. We finally planned a birthday brunch. They don't allow reservations for more than 8. They don't allow you to reserve more than 30 days ahead. They sent us a long list of rules & restrictions. The parking is horrible. Although the place is adorable and the food is pretty good, the service wasn't good and the prices are very high (almost $600 for brunch for 8). To top it off, they add a 20% gratuity (which explains the bad service). And, they charged us a "cutting" fee for the cake (plus another 20% service fee). Ridiculous! What a place for breakfast or lunch. It's an adorable place with a somewhat vintage vibe. The atmosphere is very ladies do brunch, though people of many ages were there. We chose to sit outside. I was glad we got a table for two in a corner; the other tables for 2 were crowded together. I know I would have been uncomforble. I guess that gets more people in. Considering how crowded it was, service was pretty quick - my omelette and my friend's eggs. The omelette was delightful and potatoes very nice. My friend is a regular and enjoyed her breakfast. I would have liked a refill of my old-style small coffee. It did take a while to get our check and pay. Enjoyable. read more

I hosted my birthday brunch at Little Hen and they did not disappoint!! First, the decor and ambiance is to die for - bright beautiful colors, lots of florals - there is not a corner of this restaurant that wouldn't make a lovely background for a picture! Our waitress was prompt and very sweet - she even gave me a rose since it was my birthday The food was absolutely delicious: from the famous rose petal pancakes to the Benedict's, to the beautifully designed tea pots - you cannot go wrong with a single item on the menu. LOVED this place! The ambiance is great. The restaurant is super cute with awesome places to take pictures. The food was delicious. The acai bowl was very different than what I'm used to since this one is more watery but I was blown away with the taste and combination. We also ordered a side of bacon that was chef's Kiss if you're a bacon lover like me! We shared all this between my 2 people and by the time we left we were stuffed. Is there only one check per table?
No, I’ve been there twice and asked for separate a checks. To feel more comfortable you can mention separate checks to your waiter in the beginning.
Are there outside seats without patio umbrella?? I'm very heat sensitive and we could only make reservation outside.
It is all covered via umbrellas or foliage
Dining inside or outside during the summer?
We had lunch inside, and do not know how hot it would be outside this time of year. But there were a lot of people sitting outside.
Is there parking?
Street parking - PayByPhone I usually park at the Target garage ($2/hr)and walk across to little hen
Is it reservations only?
No, they take walk-ins as well. But depending how busy it is, you may have to wait.
Do you have gluten free options ,like pancakes waffles or gluten free bread or muffins?
They certainly do. You can do something such as eggs Benedict on gluten free bread. There's a few options so be sure to ask your server!
Is it pet friendly?
Yes. The couple sitting across from us took their dog and the staff brought water and was super nice to him.
