[Parking]: Mitsuwa Marketplace has a designated parking lot, but it is one of the more difficult parking lots to navigate in Orange County because Mitsuwa Marketplace also has a food court that draws a huge crowd. [What to Expect]: A-tier selection for Japanese writing instruments, greeting cards, and journals. While the selection is not as customized or curated as some specialty stationery shops, there are still plenty of cute items to choose from. B-tier selection for plushies and the plushies are really overpriced here. [Conclusion]: Come here for Japanese stationery and only window shopping for plushies. Once I arrived home one half of my whole lamination had a scratch right on the middle of the whole roll. Thats 50ft in the trash and the funny thing is that they charged me for this. Another time I got a new Roland vinyl sticker roll as matte. I was working on my project and was ready to use the material when I realized it was labeled wrong and it was gloss instead of being matte and full if fingerprints everywhere. It was 9pm when I noticed. I can keep going, avoid this location at all costs unless u really need to. Some workers there don't have any pride on their work or hate their job. Go to the location in downtown LA. Great service even tho is way more busy but atleast u know u will get what u bought and take pride in their work.

The folks at Avenue live the lifestyle and believe in the art- because of that, the stuff they carry is always fresh and legit. I remember stumbling into Avenue back in high school, trying to find a place to quench my LRG fix. The main man behind the register, Arthur, not only helped me with what I was looking for, but really took the time out to explain the finer points of streetwear. Every time I stop by, he's always there doing his thing, and mindful of stuff I'd be interested in that's already out or coming out soon. It's places like Avenue that really show what OC is all about- not all that pretentiousness you see on Laguna Beach. There was no upselling or hints that I'd be better off buying the premium sets as a beginner, which I appreciated. She actually recommended a much more affordable beginning basics set when I told her I was new to all this. I felt free to browse around all the beautiful supplies and ended up buying everything I needed to get started.
