Little Land has been such a special place for our family. From the moment you walk in, you can tell that every activity and every piece of equipment has been thoughtfully chosen with a child's growth and development in mind. It's so much more than an indoor play space--every "toy" has a purpose, helping children build their sensory, motor, and cognitive skills through play. Although we don't attend Little Land for therapy services, we've had the opportunity to interact with many of the therapists and students during open play, and their kindness has left a lasting impression on us. They always greet my son with genuine warmth, encourage him during play, and make every child feel seen and welcomed. You can feel how deeply they care about the children and families they serve. As a parent, finding a place where your child can learn, explore, and simply be a kid in such a nurturing environment is invaluable. Little Land has become one of our favorite places because it blends purposeful play with compassionate people, and that combination is truly something special.

    Having a blast

Absolutely hands down the best play place you will visit! The attention to detail, everyone's friendliness, and the cleanliness cannot be beat. The mont membership is the best deal, and the parents get coffee every visit. We are all in love

This provider specializes in physical and occupational therapy for the hands. I've also had physical therapy through UCLA for my hands, but they really didn't do much of anything other than massage my hand. In contrast, Thera-ex staff made a detailed assessment of my hand and gave me specific exercises for my hand, wrist, and finger joints, including my thumb. I go twice a week and they apply a warm compress, have me do the exercises, apply ultrasound therapy, and give me a massage. These treatments do a lot to relieve my pain, which usually is much diminished for the rest of the day after my appointment. Additionally, all of the assistants, technicians, and providers are extremely professional, warm, communicative, and courteous. In fact, I think this may be the most courteous medical facility of any kind that I have ever frequented, and I have been to A LOT. I have a very complicated medical history and sometimes have up to 10 medical appointments a month. I have 10 different specialists handling my care and frequently since receive referrals to others. I have run into my fair share of hostile, discourteous, and disorganized medical offices. I am happy to say that it is always a pleasure to visit Thera-Ex. I have been there about eight times and have a lot more visits to complete. If you need occupational therapy for your hand, I highly recommend this place.

She took the time to teach me stretches and movements that truly helped ease my pain, and I was able to continue using them at home and even while working throughout my pregnancy. Every session with her was such a positive experience, and I always left feeling better and more confident. My son just graduated out of speech and we are over the moon…read more As I'm writing this, I'm reflecting on the mind blowing progress my son has made in just 3 years with the incredible help of Mrs. Teresa. When we first started here, my son was speech delayed and no one understood the few words he did say. Mrs. Teresa was able to target his problem areas and gave my son the tools he needed to communicate clearly and effectively. Mrs. Teresa is kind, gentle, patient, stern when needed, and truly invested in my son's growth and progress. They worked hard together during sessions, and she always rewarded my son with play time at the end which he appreciated. She always pushed and challenged him -- every session the improvement was undeniable. My son is a better speaker, a more confident communicator, and is able to focus and apply himself so much more now. I have a daughter at a different clinic who has now seen several different therapists, and I truly don't think with them all combined they could do what Mrs. Teresa does. She is an expert in the field and my son and I were truly blessed to work with her! Shout out to Miss Rosa who runs a tight ship! She truly keeps everything running smoothly, handles everything from scheduling to billing to whatever else falls on her lap, and she always does it with a welcoming and warm smile. She's the first and last face we see -- the face of the company. It's bitter sweet to say goodbye. I truly believe she helped him come out of his shell and feel comfortable expressing himself. My son felt really comfortable and truly enjoyed going to each session. They are a great team to work with. I dealt directly with Miss Ashley for any cancellations or rescheduling. When we started in the summer I didn't get the time slot that I wanted because I had to commute from school. But by the time school started there was a time slot that was better for me. So don't let the time slots discourage you from a great team. On that note when we started we worked with Samantha and she was equally as great. We will miss Ashley. We are eternally grateful for all the work Ashley and Samantha did for my son!!!

Elena Vogel was my lactation consultant, Dr. Kolleen Gregory was our infant chiropractor, and Dr. Choi is currently our pediatric dentist. Dr. Nguyen evaluated Adam the morning after I gave birth. He wasn't able to latch all night so she came to the hospital and said he had a tie. I was adamant about breastfeeding so after we were cleared by our doctors, we checked out on the second day and went straight to our appointment with Dr. Nguyen and Dr. Choi. Dr. Choi, who did the laser treatment on his tie actually found that it was much tighter than they originally thought, so I'm thankful I did it. It was a few seconds and it was done. Adam cried and truthfully screamed a bit, but stopped the second it was done. He had already settled down by the time he was back in my arms and we went home. The post-op care was heavily stressed by Dr. Nguyen. She was very thorough and careful when explaining how to do his oral stretches. She emphasized that the post-op care wasn't just his mouth, but his whole body. She was so incredibly knowledgeable on how the body functions as a whole and how it all ties together, so the movement and stretching of his mouth and entire body is all important. I'll be honest and say that I didn't want to do any of it because my cooter was healing and I was still in pain from just coming home from giving birth. It was all very fresh. But I looked at my baby and decided I'm his mom and this is my responsibility. Every single day for the next 3 months, I set aside the bare minimum of 5 minutes but realistically it took 15 minutes to do thorough movement for my son. I put in the work. I took videos and sent them to Dr. Nguyen and she would give me feedback. Call me crazy but my son was and is an "easy" baby. Be it a blessing of luck with a combination of effort and work, I see results. He eats a variety of foods, hitting all his milestones, and developing beautifully. I can't wait to have another baby lol.

i'm giving CDK 1,000 stars…read more i could never overrate this institution. my family owes them more than we could ever repay. my son was diagnosed with a speech delay, had some gross motor delays and sensory issues when he was 18 months old. from then on he received Speech Therapy and Occupational Therapy here. he also qualified to be in their special Good to Grow program, which is an amazing program focused on early intervention for children ages 24 - 36 months, with Downs, Autism and various other special needs. where do i begin. all over the board, i only have good things to say. the therapists here took such detailed care for my son. i was never in doubt that he was in good, expert hands. his group never had more than 10 children, and the ratio of therapist to child was always so high, especially since weekly parent participation was required, there were times when it seemed the ratio was equal in adults to children. the therapists have a weekly meeting to touch base with each other and update the entire staff of progress and needs for each child. thus, whichever therapist my son came in contact with, that therapist was aware of all his needs. when my son started, i wasn't sure how the program would help, or if they could be of help. i really had some doubts. but within three, four, six months, my son improved step by step. these therapists were so on top of my son's case that they were always a step ahead of me. they had suggestions and insight for me before i could even think to ask. CDK/G2G was a godsend. i don't know how we could have overcome all the challenges we faced during my son's second year. he is a completely different tot from the one who began the program in January 2014. when he started he barely spoke five words... today he can talk in 4-word sentences, without having to be prompted. he recently turned three and graduated the program. he no longer needs any Occupational Therapy and i am amazed with how far he has come. he still does require some Speech Therapy, but i am so confident that within a year he will be right where he needs to be. CDK really set him up for success, and not only helped my son, but helped me and my husband with valuable tools and insight. the program requires attendance to a weekly parent meeting, which provided support and tools for parents. the program also provides a monthly home visit by a therapist to address any current challenges. the therapist would always follow up with an email and follow through with any discussed strategies. the therapists here are highly educated, each having at least a master's degree, and some even having doctorates. they are so enthused with what they do, and even more significantly, they ALL care so much for their patients. absolute rockstars and saints. if you have a child with any special needs, please look into CDK. you will be in good, loving hands.
