I was driving from Merced to Las Vegas when something told me I should stop and get my oil changed. When I pulled into another shop, they told me they couldn't do the oil change because my car had an active coolant leak. At that point, I was in Bakersfield, hours away from home and still hours away from my destination. As a woman traveling alone, I was honestly scared and worried that something was seriously wrong with my car. Thankfully, I found this shop. David took the time to listen to what was going on and immediately wanted to help. Even though they were busy, he understood my situation and didn't just treat me like another customer. He genuinely cared. That meant a lot to me, especially being so far away from home and not knowing what was wrong with my car. After taking a look, they found that my radiator cap was broken and causing the leak. They replaced it, and just like that, the problem was solved. The relief I felt in that moment was huge. What I thought might turn into a major repair ended up being a simple fix because of their honesty and willingness to help. What really stood out to me, though, was the kindness. David even called me the next day to make sure I had made it safely to my destination. That simple gesture meant so much and showed me that he truly cares about the people who walk through his doors. I had called the store beforehand to see how busy it was, the employee said it wasn't very busy and…read moreso I made my way over there. It indeed was not busy and I was thankful as I have a toddler and 7 month old. I needed an oil change, and they asked if I wanted to stay in or get out and said it would be about 15 minutes. I opted to stay put as my 7 month old had just fallen asleep and I didn't want to wake her up. I had a fan and water to keep her cool and my toddler as well. Well they get started and 15 minutes go by.. then 30.. then 45. Finally one of the employees tells me that they broke the cap and had to replace it but they were out of stock at that location. I was frustrated as I hadn't planned on being there that long and especially since I had my kids in the back. If they would have told me what had happened when it did, I would have taken them out and went inside. They proceed to tell me that they wouldn't get the part for 2 hours (I got there at 3). They let us all get out of the car and into the waiting area. They ended up being able to find a part that fit and so it didn't take an additional 2 hours. I was there for an hour maybe a little more. The employees were professional but the fact that they waited to tell me and on top of having my littles with me in the heat for that long was not cool. I guess next time I'll just take my kids out just in case that ever happens again.. overall I'm not sure I'd go back here. Wanted to clarify it wasn't about the part being broken more so that they waited to tell me and had me and my kids in the heat longer than necessary.
