Got my brakes changed here, and when I left they started to leak on the road had to get my truck towed back to my house. Les Schwab towed the truck back to their business and tried to fix the problem, but now brakes squeak very loudly when I press on them. Went back two times to fix the problem, and they didn't fix them. Don't go to this place this the second they missed up something on my truck. read more

I had an almost flat tire this morning and limped into the Oswell Street Les Schwab. I parked in the handicapped spot and before I could even start to get out, someone greeted me and asked how he could help. He got the info from my car and was ready for me to sign the work order when I got inside. Nice clean waiting area with plenty of chairs. Even though l was told it would be an hour and a half till they could get to it it was finished within an hour! They fixed my tire, no charge! I had my daughter's tires repaired / replaced That was supposed to cost me three to four hundred dollars. At this place it cost me about a hundred and twenty. Then my daughter who rolled over a nail on my van. When I took it to the dealership they let me know and they wanted to charge me to $279 at Toyota Bakersfield dealership Northside. Excellent service, I would give them 10 stars if I could. The manager of this center is a great example of what service means. Second employees are every helpful and do there job with the customers service in mind. I had a blow out on the way home from Parker Az. and another tire the was separating. Both tires bought from another Les Schwann store in Northern Ca. The Manager took care of everything. I wish I lived closer because this would be my go to store. I've been using Les Scwabb for a few years now. Since before I met my current husband. I like that they do free rotations and air up the tires whenever you need. I bought all new tires last year. I had a blowout in February (I had been keeping up with my rotations and checking the air) . The "guarantee" isn't much of a guarantee as it only knocked about 60$ off the cost of a new tire and of course I had to buy 2 because then they'll wear unevenly. I also have a hybrid car that doesn't have a spare. So I had to have the car towed to my house as it was after hours. Get the 2 tires home, husband puts them on and tells me I'll need an alignment. I guess I should add.. The husband used to be a mechanic. I take it back to Les Schwab for the alignment. Should be free since I bought the tires there. To my surprise the guy comes out with an invoice over 800$. He tries to tell me my back tires have side wall wear, and my tie rod in the front was cracked. Called the husband. He said they were full of it. We took it to a local guy who my husband used to work with. Sure enough. They're full of it. We already knew the tires were fine. Tie rod was fine. He charged me 40$ for an alignment. Les schwab thought they found the perfect blonde to scam. Not today. Won't ever be buying tires or anything else there again. read more

The people here will scam you so make sure you bring along someone knowledgeable in automotive repairs before agreeing to any services or repairs. Took in my Silverado for an alignment after I installed new upper and lower control arms and had marked my camber and caster bolts before taking it in to know they were actually adjusted and turned. After the alignment was done and paid for, I opened up my hood to recheck my marked bolts and neither had been touched. I requested a print out of my alignment specs and the printer happened to be "broken". I requested for them to put it back on the machine to show me the readings and to no surprise it was not within specs. 3 and a half hours later the job was finally done right. Who knows how many others they have scammed before me, but I would definitely not recommend this location to anyone for any type of service. read more

The whole crew looked busy, and at first Oscar said they would not have time to take care of my flat tire, but when I mentioned I had called an hour earlier and the person told me that they could, Oscar honored that word and immediately Chris came out and unloaded my tire. I watched Chris being careful, thorough, and quick as he made the repair. Other than a really long wait, Earl Schwab Tire Center earns a 4 outta 5! If I didn't have to wait so long, it would have easily got a 5. Here's the pros: Friendly attentive service, Clean lobby, garage, and bathrooms, Free Wifi, Free battery charging station for cell phones, free popcorn, coffee, water, and last, a free alignment check. I also appreciated the local high schools and colleges being represented (football jerseys- helmets) in this chain store. By the way, a really long wait translates to 2.5 hours for a tire shop with 6 servicing bays and only 1 car ahead of mine, and 3 technicians on duty. So, take your laptop and get some work done. Or sit back and rest up. A Kids table is set up for coloring and lots of comfortable seating for adults. read more

This may be a long winded review, but I gotta give credit when credit is due. I recently purchased a new truck and wanted new wheels/tires right off the hop. I found the wheels I wanted and started shopping around. I must say I found the wheels/tires to be about the same price around town at different shops. So why did Les Schwab earn my business? Because of service and service alone. When you pull up to the store you are greeted at your car everytime by a friendly employee. I told him what I wanted and he worked up a quote. In my situation I had just bought a new truck, the tires had less than 100 miles on them and they gave me $500 credit for them. This amount was unheard of at all of the other tire shops I had visited. I was able to buy much nicer tires and still get them for less than I would have paid elsewhere because of the credit for the take off wheels/tires they gave me. When my wheels arrived I stopped in and they quickly installed them as well as a leveling kit. So why 5 stars? After the wheels were installed, Jarret (my salesperson) showed me a small ding on one of the wheels. He explained to me it looked as though the wheel had been dropped at some point. I didnt think to much of it as it was very minor, but before I could even say anything he told me that they had already ordered another one and would let me know when it was in and they would swap it out. That is why I they are a 5 star business and why I would not hesitate to reccomend them to anyone and I will be back for future services as needed. read more
