Went with family on the Saturday after Thanksgiving. Had a reservation. Lucky to find a parking space. That was the good part. Seated at a large round table. Ordered queso, guacamole and fajitas with flour and corn tortillas, quesadillas and a side of grilled veggies. Fairly straightforward for a Mexican restaurant. So, then we waited and waited and waited. Eventually got a few glasses of water, some plates and some silverware. Not enough for the entire party. I guess they were washing the plates and cutlery. The chips and salsa and queso came out with the guacamole. Still waiting for plates for a few in our group. Don't worry they told us. We will bring out more plates and silverware with the fajitas. Then the quesadillas and fajitas came out with the beans and rice, but no tortillas. No flour tortillas. No corn tortillas. And no extra plates. Still washing dishes?? So we kept waiting as we ate in shifts. Like being on call. But we were just a large family seated together at a round table. Eventually, they brought us more silverware so we weren't eating with spoons and they brought out large plates. Like oversized entree plates for our fajitas. We ordered fajitas to go, but there was so much food on the table that we asked for to go boxes. Once. Twice. Three times. Went to the hostess and even to the manager. Still they refused to bring me boxes to take the food to go. My family got impatient, so we finally left. So much food waste. Would have been good for lunch the next day. I was told the fajitas here were amazing, so naturally I couldn't say no when my friend invited me here for dinner. It was pretty busy and the parking lot was packed. A few cars were waiting for other's to leave. There's a sign that says additional parking but I couldn't figure out where that was supposed to be. We were greeted and put our name down for a table. In the meantime sat at the bar while we waited. The margaritas here are really good! After 10 minutes or so we were able to get seated. The workers were really nice and attentive to us. First and foremost, if you are a fan of ordering online, or meeting up with friends, please remember that there are 2 Pappasito's locations on Richmond, one in the Galleria area and this one, differentiated by the word little, in Upper Kirby. As you may have guessed, I mention this to save you the 11 minute drive between the two locations incase you too forget this very important detail! I also mention this to say that the group is a patient team of angels. While I sat at the Galleria location, after ordering at this location, I received a courtesy call from Little Pappasito's. What a complete failure tonight at Little Pappasitos Cantino. While our server was nice he never checked on our food order as it took eons to arrive. I had to repeatedly ask for more water. I finally flagged down a bus boy who kindly refilled our water and replenished our salsa for our tortillas chips. So many tables of people came after us and received their food in a timely matter. We ordered a "platter" of Beef & Chicken Fajitas. The cost is quite outlandish and considering the issues we had with our meal, we will not be rushing back! The guacamole that is served with the platter that says it serves 2-3 persons was "minuscule in portion" just enough for one person. When I mentioned it to our waiter he just said this is the portion that comes with it. When I ordered I had asked for no beans & rice instead a small amount of shredded lettuce and diced tomatoes. Our server brought me rice & beans too (completely wasted) and he had the audacity to charge for the two ounce portion of diced tomatoes on the already $62 plus fajita platter. On top of all of this we were given 3 flour tortillas for our platter that serves 2-3 and requested more. Our server took the tortillas holder, but he NEVER brought back more. Again I flagged down a bus boy and asked for more. He came back promptly with more. Additionally the chicken was not marinated grilled chicken fajita strips - it was thick slices of chicken never marinated. Such a disappointment after all the years we have patronized all Pappas restaurants, especially this location of Little Pappasitos Cantina. Higher prices should also mean appropriate portions to serve 2-3. Sad we had to have such an awful experience tonight at a Pappas restaurant! read more

We used to go to that place for many years and considered it as the best Tex-Mex place in town. All our guests, business partners and friends who were coming to Houston out of town and from another country were taken to this place. It was the best place to show to our guests the real Houston atmosphere and what wonderful food and great drinks we have there. Alas, the things change and, unfortunately, not always to the best. They used to have great salsa - served warm, rich of flavor. No more, it reverted to the simple catchup-style salsa served in other low-class Tex-Mex restaurants in town. Also, it was so spicy that we barely could eat it. I guess, the current manager got tired from customers constantly asking for salsa refills and so he/she decided to replace it with a cheap junk. As an appetizer we ordered their current special - fried oysters.They were full of some weird cheese and other strange ingredients and plainly not tasty. For main entry we ordered two identical orders of cheese enchiladas. I remember them as rich and plumpy with cheese. No more. There was barely cheese in them. We also asked, as we usually do, for refried beans that not contain pork. The waiter brought us beans with pork. He was a nice guy who tried hard to serve us (which was the best part of our experience there), so we did want to upset him. He still got a good tip for his efforts. Will we return? At the present time with many good new Tex-Mex restaurants in town, highly unlikely. But we'll miss this spot. It's just a shame that it went down so badly. read more

We love Little Papasitos! They put such a fun, upscale twist on classic Tex-Mex. The pumpkin seed garnish on the guacamole and the potato taquitos are incredible, and the margaritas are both delicious and dangerous! My husband stopped in for lunch the other weekend and the staff brought him an order of the French toast to try from the new brunch menu. He LOVED it. Said it was the best he's ever had! There was a disappointing moment because the salsa dip had hair in it, disgusting. But the waiter brought us out a fresh batch. And he was honest about the recommendations! I be ordered Nachos to go. I should have paid attention to the picture of the nachos. Little pappasito's nachos are like a flat bread with sparse toppings. It is one layer of nachos flattened with the beans spread on top and very little of anything else. I was disappointed and not on the presentation, but the overall taste the price for those nachos was $26. I've had other food from there which was good but I will never have their nachos again. read more
