Let me just say one thing! There warm, fresh tortilla chips with the salsa, had me in a chokehold. My friend and I ran thru two bowls of chips and salsa before our food came to the table. So good! The cheese enchiladas I ordered were extremely cheesy and tasty as well. In terms of service, I had no complaints. From making sure we had our drinks topped off to clearing away our emptied plates, the staff was on it. I wish I took the time to actually read the story behind the restaurant, because I'm sure it would have given me a better picture of the meaning behind all the photos on the wall. Overall, I enjoyed the visit and would definitely return in the future.

MM DA STEAK WAS TENDERISM !!! buttery goodness ooey gooey yummy yummy. i will admit i am guilty i did only eat the beef because it was so good i didnt eat none of da beans or rice or nothing just saving space to selfishly only consume the beef sorry everybody else i had to fight for myself.

My mom was visiting town and we wanted something easy and light for lunch and this was perfect! The margaritas were to die for and in fact, one of the best ones I've had in a really long time. Our server Sandy was so so sweet and she delivered GREAT service from the moment we walked in the door. The food came out quick as did our drinks. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Th weather was great so we sat on the patio in the shade and it was perfect![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Absolutely coming back here soon

I attended an evening dinner party for a friend. Parking was a bit complicated but that's expected for downtown... We were seated right away and the waitress soon approached for our drink orders. I ordered an Arnold Palmer, brisket enchiladas and a tres leches to go. The brisket enchiladas were pretty good but on the drier side, the beans were creamy and the Brussel sprouts stole the show! They were perfect, crispy and savory. The tres leches cake was also really good! Overall it was a good experience.

Cyclone Anayas came as a recommendation. We were greeted as soon as we came in and were able to get a table quickly. We all had the margaritas which they offered two sizes of which were very good and had a good amount of alcohol. We started off with appetizers having the queso, the egg rolls and the brisket empanadas (would recommend!). The appetizers were fresh and tasted very good. I had the lunch portion of the chicken fajitas, which were very tasty and came out sizzling and well seasoned. It came with flour tortillas, you had an option of corn tortillas as well, pico de gallo, rice and I originally wanted the chipotle garlic spinach as a side but was given brussels sprouts by mistake. Although I did receive brussels sprouts they were tasty with some type of glaze on them and I was ok with having them. They did offer to bring the chipotle garlic spinach but I declined. Our server Preston was attentive and come to find out was from the same hometown as us! If ever in Houston stop by and tell Preston hello for us!

This spot was a last minute backup after our first choice hit us with a 2 hour wait... absolutely not. So, this was a last minute decision. It's Midtown on a Saturday, so naturally parking was a nightmare, but by some miracle, we found a spot that didn't require a 10 minute hike; blessings!! [[HIGHLIGHT]]Inside, the vibe was cool, music playing, TVs showing the game, not too packed.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Service was surprisingly quick. Our waitress double checked our order, didn't disappear into a black hole, and didn't hover either. Just the right amount of attention. She came through immediately with chips and salsa, which is always the way to my heart. We started with pineapple margaritas on the rocks with tajin, sweet enough to sip, strong enough to feel. Ordered the Blackened Maui and Asada Casda tacos. The food? Honestly... mid. The chips and drinks definitely carried the team. Overall, not bad just not somewhere I'm rushing back to. It was a decent rebound meal, not the main character.

We were looking forward to some good Mexican food, unfortunately this place did not provide it. The guacamole was just ok until we found a hair in it. Not that we could really tell anyone as we seemed to be invisible. The chicken tacos and quesadillas would have been good had they not been swimming in grease. I will say out of 4 meals 1 was good. The Relleno Asado, was flavorful and the meat was tender.

Went here for a late dinner after a night out. It was not really crowded. Our waiter was Micah... he was really attentive and nice. The salsa was really good. The food seemed fresh and came out hot. It was more Tex Mex than authentic Mexican food...but still had good flavor. The prices were very reasonable. The waiter even gave us chips and salsa with or to go boxes. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Overall nice place for a late night eat.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

I was at a nearby spot and was hungry, so I decided to walk to Cyclone Anayas. I sat at the bar. There was one bartender. He was kind of snarky. I did not like that. This place is extremely overpriced for the quality. The location and prices do not match what's being served or the service. The taste of the food is decent. The chips are more like what they sell in the bags in grocery stores. The salsa is decent and has a bit of a kick. The egg rolls were pretty good. The amount of chicken in the egg rolls was minimal. The quesadillas were just okay. They were not tasteless, but they definitely gave off a fast food drive-through window vibe. The brisket empanadas were decent. The margaritas were pretty good. They are highly overpriced for the quality of the food.

Chain Tex-Mex that's like the equivalent of Chili's. It's fine, nothing special. I came with a group of 20 for a corporate outing. Guacamole and salsa were good. Everything else is meh. I got the power bowl with steak. They gave four measly pieces of meat but the rice was good and I liked the brussel sprouts. I get it's hard to work with a party of this size but service wasn't great. When half the table got their entrees, the other half was still ordering them. That said, the staff was very friendly.

For drinks, my husband and our friends tried some of the margaritas from their large and unique margaritas menu, as well as their hibiscus agua fresca. All of the drinks were very pretty and it seemed like everyone enjoyed them, too! We started with their chips and salsa trio, which we all really liked. The chips were on the thicker side, but were crispy and not stale or chewy at all. Each of the salsas were quite different, and two were served warm, which we really liked! For the price, I'd consider getting the chips and salsa as a non-negotiable, honestly. For entrees, we tried the enchilada rojas, chilaquiles verde w/ chicken and beef, birria barbacoa ramen, and huaraches. My husband felt like his ramen could have included more meat, but aside from that everyone really enjoyed what they ordered. The highlight was probably the desserts, though! We got a quatro leches and two ordered of their giant and amazing churros. Both were incredibly tasty and reason enough to return for another visit in the future!

Service was remarkable and very friendly from the host to the cleaning staff. Food was delicious. I really appreciated the creative flavors that were inspired by authentic Mexican cuisine. Standouts were the guacamole and wagyu carne asada, but everything was fantastic. I loved the Clara cocktail and enjoyed learning about the process to create it. It is clear that there was care and attention behind each menu item. Also, the pace of the food being brought out was evenly paced, which I appreciate, and our server gave us just the right amount of attentiveness. We celebrated my husband's birthday here, and they sent out a tres leches with a candle on it. Very kind and very delicious dessert.
