I honestly can't believe I waited this long before finally having Little Rey. We came over here before a movie at AMC. For a Sunday afteroon it was lowkey busy. We had to wait a couple minutes in line to order and thankfully we had a table but it was a little busy.... And it took a while to get our food. I got a steak taco which was DELISH but then for the month they had a smashburger special???? which was literally like a smashburger slider??? it was honestly amazing. Chips and queso were also delish. Skip the fries they are just plain crinkle fries. A friend also ordered the plaintains for dessert and those were to die for. An amazing meal.

I came here on a Saturday evening and had the best time! The line was out the door but still moved pretty quick. They also let you order margaritas outside to go, so you can sip on a drink while you wait. We ordered the queso, tacos, salad, and cilantro rice - all so so good! The ambiance is really nice too, there is a big outdoor seating area which I loved the most! Definitely will be returning

This was our first time here but most certainly not our last! The food was super good!! A little pricey but delicious! It sucks that you have to order at the counter though because we were also having drinks and the line stayed long for a while so that was a downside. There were also kids running around everywhere screaming and that was very unpleasant. They do have a killer salsa bar though!

Came to Little Rey for breakfast and really enjoyed it! The pancakes were fluffy and delicious, especially with the caramel sauce, and the tacos were fresh and flavorful (though a little on the pricey side). The salsa bar is a big plus, lots of great options to mix and match. There's plenty of indoor and outdoor seating, which makes it an easy spot to hang out. And lots of parking!!!! I only tried the breakfast menu this time, but the lunch menu looked really good too--definitely planning to come back for that.

Great Vibe here. Order at the counter have a seat and they will bring your order to you. Food comes out quickly and there's ample seating indoor or outdoor. Food is pretty good. And they have a great margarita on tap. Great for casual lunch/ dinners

As huge fans of the location on Piedmont, we were thrilled that the service and food quality/speed of delivery was just as good as the original. However, the best thing about this location is the plentiful, easy parking... so this might become our new go-to location. On a Sunday it was pretty busy with big groups (including lots of children), so bear in mind if you prefer less noise. The breakfast tacos are available during lunchtime on Sundays, so it was nice that our group could order either breakfast or lunch depending on their mood. Same perfect queso and guacamole, and great hot sauce self-serve selection. Bravo!

Great vibe, tacos were fantastic. We finished our meal off with the plantain desert... done with perfection.

The taco sizes are pretty small so I would definitely recommend getting three for a full meal. I got the steak al carbon, puerco al carbon, and carne asada. The steak al carbon was phenomenal! Extremely flavorful and juicy and I think one of the best tacos I've had! Unfortunately, I wish I could say the same for the other two. This restaurant seems to be known for their al carbon tacos so I would think they'd be the best thing on the menu, but the puerco al carbon was SO greasy it made me feel a little sick. The taco was DRIPPING with grease and every bite just felt like I was eating straight fat. I think it had a lot of potential but please drain the grease better! The carne asada was good, but it didn't stand out to me. It was just a basic carne asada taco. I love when restaurants have a salsa bar and this one did not disappoint! I don't even remember all the sauces that I got but they were all really good! They were super flavorful and all had a good kick to them! Definitely recommend the salsa that was cooking in the pot, I honestly think I could've drank that as a soup! I really liked the location of this place and the vibes of the inside. The decor was really pretty and I loved the plants hanging in the restaurant. The ceilings were really high so it just felt super spacious. The outside was also really vibrant and cute, there were lots of kids just running around and playing and it just had wholesome family vibes. If it wasn't so hot I would not be opposed to sitting outside. The servers were also all really nice. I would definitely recommend this place as a fun weekend evening dinner place to go with friends. Just don't get the puerco al carbon

Food taste so fresh! We love their smoked chicken, steak tacos, salads, quac, frozen margaritas! Have yet to have anything we have not liked here yet.

I had the chicken and beef birria tacos with consommé, cilantro rice, and black beans. My partner went with the steak and al pastor tacos, Mexican rice, and refried beans. Everything was fresh, flavorful, and generously portioned, they definitely don't skimp on the fillings. The margarita flight was also a fun choice and a great way to try different flavors. We noticed they also serve huge shareable cocktails and oversized shots that looked like a blast for groups. The atmosphere is lively, especially later in the evening, with a younger crowd and a fun, energetic vibe that makes it a great spot to hang out with friends. The only thing that rubbed us the wrong way happened right after we were seated. Chips and queso were brought to the table, and we naturally assumed they were complimentary, similar to chips or bread at many other restaurants. After we had already started eating them, our server came back and took them away because they weren't included. Our waitress was otherwise friendly and provided good service, but that initial interaction felt a little awkward. A quick heads-up when placing them on the table would have avoided the confusion entirely. Overall, the food, drinks, portions, and atmosphere were excellent, and that small misunderstanding wasn't enough to take away from an otherwise fantastic experience. We'd definitely come back the next time we're craving tacos and margaritas.

We waited only a few minutes and was able to navigate the small lot to get a spot. There is a designated window for pre-orders and walk-ups have a separate line. It wasn't that long when we were there, but was out the door when we left. Ordering was easy as we got a chance to preview the paper menu, and we were given a card to place on our table once we found it. There was plenty of seating options despite the full lot, but it was nice out so a lot of people were out on the patio with views of the busy intersection. The decor was modern and airy. We checked out the salsa bar while we waited for our appetizer and I found the jalapeno roasted garlic, which was spicy and amazing!! Our appetizer was the con queso and I added chorizo, which I highly recommend. It was plenty for our party of 4 and they'll give you more chips if you need them for the amount of dip you get, just ask. I got one each of the steak, chicken, and carnitas tacos on corn tortillas. The steak was my favorite and I loved that you could taste the smoke in each of the meats with each bite. The grapefruit marg was strong! We were in and out in well under an hour.

Halal tacos in a small store in a gas station - how can you get more authentic than that?…read more The meats served here are all halal, which is great! I got the beef Birria, steak Birria, and barbacoa tacos. The consommé itself was a little watery and tomato-y, but the tacos themselves were of decent quality and flavor. The beef Birria was better IMO than the steak, which was a little chewier. The barbacoa was definitely hands down my favorite - out of them it was the most flavorful and tender. The salsas they gave on the side were good too - spicy, tangy. The seating in the store is very limited (only a few tables, not well spaced out), large groups would be hard to accommodate.

I think I saved this spot due to some friends recommending it. Pretty decent food for a gas station…read morespot. The hubs choose x3 shrimp birria tacos while I had the beef birria quesadilla. I believe the meats here are halal. The crust of both the taco and quesadilla were crispy and had a nice cheese crunch. But trying other birria spots, these were okay. Good but nothing that would wow. The consome dip was actually pretty watered down. I know places make them differently as I've had versions with meat bits in them and another with rice. But their version was just watered down. The shrimp ratio was pretty sad. The beef is actually more bang for your buck. Though I didn't truly count the shrimps, there were about 3 or 4 of those baby shrimps. They didn't look nor tasted like they were doused in flavor. The shrimp was just so so. Sort of bland in taste imo. The beef had a nice kick of flavor. There was a good amount of beef to my surprise. Another friend's beef taco version looked like it was stuffed with meat as well. There was just ample seasoning and flavor with the beef. Psst. If you're thinking x3 tacos vs x1 whole quesadilla, go with the quesadilla. You're sort of getting another piece since the quesadilla is cut into four quadrants versus just 3 tacos. Though it's a different form on presentation, you're going to be getting more for the same exact price.
